Why is spelling and grammar so important to YouTube users? Im forever reading comments about the incorrect use of "there" and "their" (just for example). Then it often escalates into a tirade of derogatory remarks. I didn't know, that, if you try to prove you're (phew..remembered not to use "your") intellectually superior, by pulling a stranger up on their (that was close) spelling, then you will actually live a much more fulfilling life and be contributing to the greater good of humanity!

Well you're kind of wrong as there are two versions of the English language, i.e English and American English. There are many spelling inconsistencies, although essentially it's the same language and meanings. But at the end of the day... WHO CARES?!!
