Even though positivity and negativity thus exist, good or bad does not, for it's the ego that lets you to believe that what has been done is bad. The person that did the so called bad act might have done it with his/her own justification and therefore doesn't think it was bad. For instance; killing your daughters raper while not openly admitting that your daughter got raped. which might be morally right of him, but ethically the most wrongful thing to do.

The problem with our society today is that we are so obsessed with trying to explain the world in terms of abstractions such as "good" or "bad". For example - President Bush/his administration saw the world as a good vs. evil struggle--which was a factor in the awful wars that he started. we are trying to defeat "terrorism" but that its just a concept. one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter--always remember that saying

Morality is subjective, but the consequences of actions (whether positive or negative) are not. I can tell that you (Jordan) have experienced little to no ugliness in other's actions as they affect you. The parable you outline is not about having a preconceived notion of good and bad. It is about accepting that it happened, dealing with it, and moving on. Positivity and negativity exist. Denying this is most unhealthy both spiritually and physically.

Good and bad do exist. They are determined by the results and consequences of actions. It is all well to say "just go with the flow", but it is another when negative actions affect an individual not initially associated with them. Just because someone doesn't think they are doing bad, doesn't mean that the consequences of their actions (on themselves, others, or a group) aren't bad. If you were raped would you just accept it? Would you consider it a good thing if positivity followed?

Many think and intend positivity when the consequences of their actions results in negativity. We must all endeavor to be aware, live in the now, learn from the past, and be aware of the future we are making.

We do live in a dimension of duality but on lower planes there are demons at work and on higher planes there are angels at work. Everything that happens to you is part of your plan, so then isn't that a good thing? So instead of not judging things, how about seeing everything as good and fitting instead?

You know what I agree with this, even if you look at life and death you cannot say that death is bad nor good for we do not know EXACTLY what is to come with death. From a personal point, I think that death will bring a new portion of life so it may in fact be for the better- in time that is, no one should end their lives early.

The same event one logic born in China may see it as a very bad thing, while a different logic in Europe might perceive the same event as a miracle. Logic and perception are relative to the observer's inner quality. The flow of events makes your life. Sometimes it is by choice, sometimes it just happens. We, as humans, like to grab onto the fact we are always in control. However I believe this is not always the case, even when we think we are.

Who controls us in those periods remains a mystery. You could say god(s), fate/destiny or the mere entropy gradient if you like to look at it the scientific way. Who knows?
