what a song! just heard it abt a couple of weeks ago.. in one interview, john's manager said one of the things john learned from placido domingo (perhaps love) was coloring his tones with the emotions of the words being conveyed.. this song exhibits that perfectly.. there is a live version of this song (along with rocky mountain high) which i feel sounds better than the original.. that's the true hallmark of a great musician.. no studio effects, editing, nothing.. bravo JD :)
