I consider this episode the end of the "real" show. There some really were good episodes after this, of course, but all the backstage issues killed the forward momentum of the overall series.

I started thinking about this show and how I missed it. I told my daughter what I want for my 60th birthday coming up if she can find it - the complete NE 5-yr dvd set. This episode Cicely was my favorite of the entire run, on top of so many other great episodes. The human spirit captured in these 2 women characters Roslyn and Cicely you don't see on tv much, and we very much need programs like this again, in stark contrast to the mean-spirited reality shows and other put-down shows.
