@ToyotaMan1990 what do you mean what is this world coming to. theres always been a v6 and a v8 in the stangs. an option on the corvette even was a straight 6. and back in the 60s when mustang was introduced the v6s were still given 210hp and the v8s were given 300hp maybe. the standard hp on cars has raised. the old school bullit maybe had 350. and now maybe in 2013 the new gt500 wont exist itll be a 2013 svt cobra with 620hp. the newer v6 stangs like my 07 gets decent hp and 24mpg with bolt ons

guys the eclipse v6 is built ti be the sporty version the v6 mustang is meant to be the economy version, no shit the eclipse should win, the GT is the version thats meant for performance. like i always say ricers take the best model import and run it against v6 mustang/camaro and think there fast.

@scbman no i said the v6 is economical. and yes it was inefficient but it wasn't meant to be efficient. mustangs just offer affordable performance, there not meant to be the best car in the world. and hp/liter really doesnt have to do anything with a cars performance, thats just for engine builders who want to brag about their designs. I think hp vs engine weight is more important that hp/liter anyway.

whether you like it or not the v6 that comes in the mustang is a dog. the direct injection v6 by gm and even toyota are wayyy better. of course the mustang v8 besides the 4valve sucks too....even though i have one.

i have a 00 mustang v6 with a 5 speed, 2&1/2 in exhaust with mpypes mufflers bbk shorty headers and a cold air intake, and i also have a 02 eclipse gt, and the stang walks all over the eclipse, so the eclipse in this video had to of had some pretty good mods on it.

I've got a 00' GT (fed-spec) and honestly I'm not suprised at the outcome of this. The eclipse is a lot lighter, and faster stock, although I have to give the mustang credit, its potential with some work is alot higher than the 6G72 in the eclipse.

If you mean boosted as in turbocharged, I highly doubt it. There's only a small handful of those in the states. 6G72's can't handle much. Now it's possible it was supercharged, but even at Stage 1 that eclipse would have raped that mustang. (and I couldn't hear a whine from the s/c) So it's more than likely it didn't have any poweradders.

I supercharged Eclipse 3.7 stroker pushing 12psi, AEM EMS, rebuilt head, and no spray would eat a Vett. Both cars are weak stock, but both can be formidable competitors with work. Btw, NOS is a brand of nitrous injection systems, use "spray" or "the bottle" so you don't sound like a damn ricer.

V6 Camaros are not crap... they are great motors that can be easily modified to hang with stock V8's.... The 3.8 comes stock with 200HP

My slowassed Sebring LXi ,w/ the same set up as the Eclipse, walked away from my neighbors 3.8 Camaro, so a 3.4 would get it's doors blown off.
