The title of the speech is "Why We Have A First Amendment." The Zenger case was the reason our founders wanted to make sure the press could write about government corruption.
They understood that power corrupts, and they wanted to make sure the media had the protection to be a watchdog of the government. The protest was against all media outlets that have failed in their job as watchdog. I know I sited Fox news viewership as growing (which it is) but even they fail in their job.

I first realized the media was lying to me when I became interested in immigration.
The media claims the issue is insoluble.
In 1995 Sen Barbara Jordans bi partisan commision came up with a dozen solutions. One was an ID card only to be used for applying for a job or benefits. Illegals only come for jobs & benefits. None of her ideas were implemented. We are still told by the media no one can solve the issue other than another amnesty. The media is our enemy.

This is great! I had a newspaper call me and want me to subscribe. I told them I wasn't interested in their liberal slanted journalism and they haven't called back since.
