I remember way back in 1979 while in high school I would dance to this in the club. I though it was beautiful then....but PRAISE GOD!!!! I know better now!!!! @kateclay100 A lot of "Gospel" songs are love songs to the Lord. The musical arrangement is what make you think of this as an R&B song, Listen to the WORDS not just the music. REAL GOSPEL that you speak of was considered "Secular" sounding at some point in time.

This was one of those songs which was Gospel enough to be Gospel, yet it's lyric was such that it could've been applied to a man loving his woman as well. And though this song came out in 1979, I never heard it until about 10 years later when Stax released "Stax Soul Groups".
