A lot of high school gymnasts who aren't really experienced have bars this close so they can get the credit for switching between bars without having to worry about a squat on. So it's not really "old fashion" over half of my high school team does bars on this setting, there is only three of us who use the bars on a wide setting.

@GymMonkeyAz nope I think she just has them set up that way this is a newer vid so u can adjust the bars to be that close but normally now adays if u want to "jump" to the high bar they should be further apart then that

What club is this? Is this in the UK or USA? This is absolutely disgusting, where the hell is the coach and why is she even in this competition? Although humourous for a video, she could have been very seriously hurt and i suggest leave that awful gym she is at and they should fire the rubbish coach she obviously has. As a coach myself i am really disappointed this goes on. This is not what gymnastics is about

The dad actually shouldn't have helped unless the officials on the floor weren't attending to her. Those bars are really close together.
