  • LOVE this song!!

  • merci monsieur Springsteen!!!!

  • Bruce is politically naive - perhaps as naive and dopey politically as Paul McCartney - but both men are musical geniuses.

  • It's hard for Springsteen to be poltiically naive as his opinions are mainly very simple. His opposition of Bush's administration wasn't even a political matter. His pointing out of the fact that the government were simply breaking the constitution by wire-tapping, rendition, voter suppression, separation of church and state, are not naive observations to make. Any political flaws that Obama or Kerry may have had don't make them a worse choice than what was in power.Last two albums are truth.

  • @unquietnights He's giving Obama a pass, far as I can tell. If one didn't like what Bush was doing, Mr. Transparency should REALLY piss Bruce off.

  • gggg

  • I heard this for the first time during a concert at Madison Square and was immediately hooked. Great song.

  • the boss i have nothing to say just fantastik

  • he would have been a good confederate up the south

  • The Boss...the toss complete rip off ...THE POGUES SALLY MACLENNANE...go on McAndra & Megan sing along "we kissed them as wee put them on the train....American Land my arse.....

  • MY thoughts as well But stil a good song

  • Anyone else who sang "I'm going down while I'm still young" when they were 54 would be so pathetic, but Bruce... He really does act like he's still young, so there's really no room for argument there! XD

  • made d rds come alive wit dis

  • I love being Irish, I love Irish music, and I LOVE the BOSS!

  • this song was great at rds last july :) i have a feeling bruce would fit right in in any pub in ireland :P

  • this song is so fun and you cannot stop yourself from jumping up and down when he plays it. ive seen him play it at giants stadium twice (right before the awesome fireworks) and at msg on saturday night. this song is awesome

  • This is so true.

every time I see him in concert and he plays this song I find myself jumping up and down all over

  • This has become one of my favorite Bruce songs. It just makes you want to dance.

  • i saw him at giants staduim was so amazing.. THE HAS RETURNED

  • hmmm. . . boss with an irish twist - very sexy! saw him do it in atlanta

  • couldn't agree more, I'm up in Canada and he played in Toronto, this was one of the last songs he played and even the Canadians love this song

  • happy birtday boss

  • he's obviously done his homework here and sat down and listened to the pogues' back catalogue. the arrangements are identical.

even the banjo player with the afro on stage is/was a member of shane's backing band "the popes"

  • AMERICA: still the land of oppurtunity and freedom

  • does anyone know where i can with "atlantic city" from this concert? can't find it on youtube

  • Great song with Bruce Springsteen With the Sessions Band

  • saw Bruce with the E street band this juli in Denmark. Damn was the best koncert ive ever been at. They played this tune so damn well. thx to Bruce for being what he is.. the best preformer in the world.

  • this song seems so irish... i realy like that, its a song you REALY can drink to :)

  • I hate the Irish stereotype of us being a bunch of drunks. Not all Irish drink.

  • I agree, but aren't most stereotypes based on some degree of truth?

  • im irish and i love getting good and drrunk

  • Fuckin teetoallers

  • bruce springsteen is the best singer song writer performer ever

    !!!!

  • So true

  • I played this song alot of the 4th of july.

  • I have just watched the Boss perform this at Glastonbury. Everytime he does this anthem, it just gets better and better. Here is a man with friends and admirers the world over. All Bruce Springsteen does is enriches your life. The Boss is a slogan which does not do him justice. Better, he be called a genius.

  • Bruces song! his only new song wrote for the sessions album!

  • To Sluggerotoole....I think you will find that this not a Pogues song but was written by Springsteen with the exception of the 1st verse which was translated by Peete Seeger from a Slovak poem by Andrew Kovaly which translate into He lies in the American Land....

  • woo! i would've loved to be at this concert, just saw ity on tv. He's so energetic!

  • I'm a fan of both, but this is pure Bruce. Shane's got his sound, Bruce has his.

  • Amazing song, but I think I prefer it with the E Street Band :) Saw them live yesterday at Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, and seriously, NOTHING beats Mighty Max' intro!! :)

  • That's true. Mighty Max intro sounds so Powerful.

  • Rated with 5 Starts, and added to my favorites :D:D I love this song

  • hes Irish, Italian, and dutch with a last name that sounds Jewish. But yes 100% American jersey boy

  • A great Irish Jig

  • i thought springsteen was jewish, not irish, great song though

  • He's half Italian and half Dutch. But 100% American!

  • so? what point are you trying to make?

  • I was all of his concerts in the Point with the Seeger Sessions, the first gig was definitely the best in terms of pure energy. The band were buzzing! Great song! Was brilliant in the RDS last year, can't wait until this Summer! The man is a legend!

  • I wish i was in that band!!

He would have been amazing.I love Bruce Springsteen thanks to my dad.Oh well at least i have A t-shirt from the show.

I sleep in it every night!!

I honestly think I'm Ireland youngest Bruce Springsteen fan

(I started liking him when I was ten)

  • soree man i went to one of his concerts when i was like 9 and loved evry minute of it im 17 now and still lovin his music

  • Ahhh well =]

  • The same happened with me haha! Gonna see him tomorrow in Amsterdam.

  • the concert was awsum i saw it at valle hovin in oslo yesterday.... i think theres a reason hes called the boss

  • yep,e-street version much better,

but maybe 40,000 irish dancing in the rain helped that , BIG TUNE , loved it ,not a fan but really enjoyed it last night.

  • the E street band do it better....dunno why....they just do!

  • I was there in 2006 and in 2008 - American land as the last song in both shows. Fantastic, especially in dublin with 40,000 irish people jumping up and down.

  • i went to the may 2 concert and that was my first bruce concert...i have to say that was the best concert that i have been to out of all the concerts that i have been to..im definitely gonna go to his next concert in FL if he has any....Great concert

  • without a doubt he is the best live performers ever, the concert in Dublin on the 25th May was amazing and my hubby isn't an avid fan like me but he loved it, hope he comes again to Ireland

  • My dad took me to see Bruce and the E Street Band last month at the Honda Center. (I hadn't really liked him and his music before hand. I know better now!) He told me Bruce put on the best show of all time, and I couldn't agree more. =D I was so pumped afterwards when he played this song at the end.

  • I was lucky enough to be in the front row at this, easily the best concert I've ever been to,no one should ever miss a chance to see Bruce!

  • this beats rap 1 billon to nothing.

  • Amen

  • Well said!

  • i love hip hop but ANY music in comparison to bruce springsteen & crew is completely outclassed. his music is in a league entirely its own.

  • this is gonna sound stupid but where is the rest of the band? the only 1's i can c is suzie tyrone and bruce

  • When Bruce made the Seger Sessions album and went on the Seger sessions tour, the E Street Band took a break and he went with a different band, known as the sessions band.

  • thx

  • i was at that concert and i can say that it was amasing. it was the first bruce concert i had been to so i didnt get to see him with the e street band. i am happy that he is having another concert with the e street band. brilliant music

  • Same Feeling with this song...The right song of Pogues is "Sally Mc Lenan" (or something approaching) from the album (if I recall well) os "Rhum, Sodomy and the lash"...Not really precise but it can help :)

  • sally macleanne

  • its sally machlenan or however its spelt

  • Don't know what ye thing but this is reminiscent of something the pogues and Shane McGowan did in the past just cant put my finger on it.

  • ahh, Shane McGowan I can only imagine the body of work he could accomplish if he could straighten himself out...

  • The music is straight from Sally MacLennane. Saw him perform it live tonight and and was thoroughly confused...

  • Bruce is incredible. No one like him.

  • heard this live in new york...amazingg!

    the bossss

  • God bless you, Bruce. I wish you would return in your next concert to Ireland.

  • Excellent!

  • espectacular Bruce

  • I was there for all three nights!!!!! Froze our balls off to get to the front. At the front each night. every night a Dublin gem!! Don't care what you American, or politically minded people think. The Seeger Sessions Band ROCK! If i am selfish I apologise but this is the IRISH side of Bruce ane we love it. I would be the first to welcome a rockin (Further up the road) type album, Streeters. Sorry i am ranting. Just glad I have appeared on a Bruce CD and DVD!!!!!! LOVE IT BOSS!!!!!!!!

  • Super boss

  • was there the 3 nights

  • brilliant brilliant brilliant

  • DVD Bruce and the session band live @ dublin

  • Is there more????? I need to see more!!!!

Camera work is not good though....this is what they

call modern filming i guess........That's not how we

experienced the live shows, did we????

  • bruce is the greatest.

  • Bruce is my ALL-Time favorite. BUT these close-up shots of him makes me feel like I'm looking thru a keyhole! Too many quick camera shots bouncing all over the place. Hard to watch. Disapointing. BACK UP THE CAMERAS! Had to stop half way thru.

  • WOW thanks for the posting can't wait till the dvd comes out seems s great show.

  • AWFUL camera editing!
