Source Dedicated Server - Getting your server + enable it for other players

when i press start server an error says "srcds.exe not responding" :S

@Mansl1 if you got a router, the router will block other computers that wants to accses your server, but if you open the port you are using for the server other computers will be able to connect. So go to this link

then find your router then choose hl2 server and follow all those instructions on that page.

@Mansl1 ok that means, according to portforward that the router you got is bad, it wont be able to open the ports, but you could try it tho, try to find a page wich looks similar to the 1 page i showed you in this tutorial

Ok ive fixed that but now My ip for the join server is the ip adress i putted in. At your static ip STEP 2 Video??? and not the real ip address and no one can join if someone joins it says Server doesnt React or w.e

@realdenni199 go to your server folder etc C:/steam/steamapps/your user name/source dedicated server/ in there create a new textdocument called

steam_appid in that file you type 10 save it and cope this file and pase it into

C:/steam/steamapps/your user name/source dedicated server/cstrike or tf2 depens on what server you got, if that dosent work contact me

For now if you want to make a dedicated server for Counter Strike: Source you will have to download Team fortress 2 Dedicated server Tool

and password you just set this line in your server.cfg sv_password "" then the password will be blank... srry for late response but i dont see when users are leaving a comment i see like half of the comments made
