  • Definitely gonna give this a go!

LOVEEE your hair in thos vid.

But, i love the short pixie you have now too.[::

  • This hair style and Color match you so well!

  • I love this formula...I've made it for myself in large amounts twice...need to make myself a third bottle soon! Witch hazel for those wondering can be purchased at Rite Aid, which is where I get mine. :)

  • I was about say hi to you but i realized i have a pimple -_-

  • I was a skeptic, but this did wonders for the acne on my cheeks. But it doesn't seem to work on my forehead acne... Argh... It doesn't help that my forehead is particularly oily compared to the rest of my face.

  • i never heard of witch hazel. what is it?

  • do a make up video!!!!!!!!!

  • Witch hazel is AMAZING for ingrown hairs! Next time you have one just soak a cotton ball and wipe it over your ingrown hair, it will be gone overnight!

  • I tried it and I love it! It makes the acne come up big time but once it heals it's totally gone. Thanks :)

  • I really like your idea, I used to have the worst acne (the deep, huge, all over your face hurting kind) and tried just about every product out there. I also have sensitive skin.. I noticed you wear a lot of makeup, I used to wear a lot of foundation and about 80% of my acne vanished after I switched to mineral makeup (bareminerals) and started using natural moisturizer products. Sometimes I get little breakouts so I'm gonna try adding your elixir to what I've been doing. Thanks! =)

  • instead of apple cider viniger can you use other vinigers like nut based viniger which is similar i think? x

  • Wow love your personality. Can not wait to try this product.

  • I just made the toner with Green Tea, witch hazel, and apple cider vinegar :) I really hope it helps me! I have never found anything that works for my skin so I thought I would give this a try. Thanks for this video, Leesha! :) You are seriously the best guru ever! :)

  • @BrittaniStremlow Did it work? (:

  • @KaciBrianna It did, actually! It works very well. The only thing is it smells awful so I make sure and use a scented moisturizer to kind of counter act the smell of the toner lol

  • You're soooo pretty!

  • Do you have a tutorial of that eye makeup??? THankx

  • The American Institute Of Advanced Medicine can help! They have over 25 years experience and over 90% success rate for a varity for skin disorders including cystic acne check out theaiam.com their protocols really work!!

Their medication is FDA approved with no side effects! ** Not a scam!

    theaiam.com

  • black pepper and water work really well for an overnight spot treatment too, but i'm kinda excited to try this :)

  • the smell is horrible, but has actually worked really well for me and also gave my skin a nice glow! :)

  • Oooh I'm going to get hold of the ingredients and do some mixing..sounds like fun!

  • You totally remind me of Regina Spektor.

  • Ugh I know apple cider vinger does wonder for your skin but unfortunately I just can't stand the smell of it at all not even for a second I wish I could cuz it's amazing it worked wonders for my friend

  • I tried apple cider vinegar as a spot treatment and it worked fine. no bad reaction so I tried it again the other night and I now have some kind of burn :/

  • @kerryseacow make sure you mix it with water!! It is very strong on its own! Hope the burn is not too bad!

  • You should try Nizoral shampoo!!!

  • I love love love witch hazel, but haven't ever used apple cider vinger. I'm excited to try it, but also kind of not because I hate pain. But thanks so much for the tip!

  • i drank it alone before and its just made me gag, and almost vomited....

  • i mixed the apple cider vinegar, green tea, and witch hazel and used it for about a month and i have only noticed smaller pores but no improvement on my acne...so, this is not working for me...also, apple cider vinegar is very strong and stings very bad on open acne/zits/scabs and it also burns my eyes terribly!!

  • can you use it as a toner, or would it dry out your skin?

  • Does it stings more than alchohol?

  • you look soooo pretty!

  • what do you use as a scrub or cleanser?

  • I put together this toner the other day except instead of 3 parts green tea/water I used only one and so far this stuff has been working amazing(:

    Thank you so much!

  • When in the cleansing routine should this be used? Is it the final step or shold you do this before you wash your face? Is it bad for your skin if you do it once a day? I have rather dry skin.. :)

  • Just tried it! Had been wanting to since long time ago. Just always forgot to pick it up at the store. You're right it stings!!! But just for a little bit. Hope it works! :)

  • Would it work without the witch hazel and a bit more water/tea instead? :)

  • i cant find witch hazel astringent wehre I live...:( I even searched online for farmacies who have it and there is none

  • i have scars :( i popped a few pimples on my forehead and then used concealer the next day and they became scabs...:(( red ones ...:(( now i don't know what im supposed to do other than wait ....

  • Where can I get witch Hazel from ? sorry kind of live in the middle east

  • I got my Bragg (the organic brand shes was talking about) apple cidar vinager and the witch hazel today at freddys and IM TRYING THIS TONIGHT,SO EXCITED!! HOPE IT WORKS!!!!

  • are all of these ingredients available at a regular drugstore?

  • @cocoPABL0 they're all available at walmart, most drugstores don't carry vinegar that i know of.

  • LOVE UR HAIR IN THIS VID!!!!!GORG!!!

  • ya im going to go buy the organic one,i beileve the brand is called BRAGG and i reccommend this guys channel if u have acne his youtube channel is called acneerasingsecrets and his name is david,i just subscirbed to his channel and he had been very helpful and i have mild acne! XSPARKAGE love this vid and ur makeup looks amazing and ur such a sweetie ,see u on ur next vid!

  • what happens if I put non-organic apple cider vinegar ?

because at my local supermaket they don't have organic apple cider vinegar (I live in Portugal)

  • Is it OK to use this apple cider/witch hazel/water or green tea mixture everyday?

  • i have tried witch hazel and i am definitely trying this :p

  • I'm trying this recipe ...thanks for sharing this :)

  • i use toothpaste ;D

  • where can i get all of these?

  • Your so beautiful!! :)

  • I'll do one part apple cider vinegar, one part lemon juice ( from an actual lemon ) and three parts of green tea. Or should i do two parts of green tea and one part of water instead? :)

  • @ggrrish Oh, I think I'm going to try that out as well.. is lemon good for your skin? :)

  • @stripedsailor Yes! It brightens your skin and does all kind of good stuff but it is quite harsh too. Google it :)

  • @stripedsailor From what I've heard and tried, Lemon juice is great for your skin because it cleans your pores and leaves your face feeling super clear. A really good facial-scrub is lemon juice and sugar, and it's great to use weekly, not daily because lemon juice is rather strong and can be irritating to skin if used too much. (:

  • That is the most gorgeous makeup I have ever seen In my ENTIRE beauty career

  • Gahh, you're so pretty!

  • Could you substitute lemon juice (concentrate) for the water? Just wondering.

  • I use witch hazel on my skin all the time. I love it! I will definitely be making a batch of this. Thanks!

  • I'm definitely giving this a try, just bought some today. :D

For anybody interested in home-made skin treatments, I've been LOVING my new moisturizer: half coconut oil, half extra virgin olive oil and a few drops of lavender essential oil (not the cheap scent oils, it has to be the real deal). It would also be great with a little tea tree essential oil, but the essential oils are the expensive part.

  • I'm already a fan of vinegar as part of skin care. This is a great idea. Thank you!

  • I'm totally trying this, will comment again with my results when I get my lazy ass to the store to buy some apple cider and witch hazel.

  • I've been using Witch hazel and vinegar off and on for years! I love them and find that they both tend to shrink my pores and make my skin look great.

Unfortunately I haven't been able too use either lately because I've been having some backlash of the cystic acne I treated for so long in high school--the prescription medications I'm on are just too harsh to use with much of anything else :(

  • wow! pretty much cleared up my skin in a week! new holy grail item? i think, YES!!! amazing tip! thanks soooooo much ((:

  • help!! i put straight apple cider vinegar on a two pimples on my cheek. Now I have two medium sized red dots around where the pimples are and i look like one of those dolls with painted on blush! is this normal? what should i do?

  • I love you for sharing this! It works AMAZINGLY!<3

  • i started using apple cider vinegar as a toner about a year ago, and it definitely works soooo well. when i make it, i use half apple cider vinegar and half coconut water. sometimes i'll even add about 15 drops of tea tree oil to the bottle.

using green tea is a great idea too!

i think i'll try that next

  • You should delute the apple cider vinigar with green tea! green tea is perfect for just about everything!! it works for me, and i have extrememly oily skin, the mixture has really helped, surprisingly!!

    thanks for your videos!!

  • Is the redness on my face normal? I tired the spot treatment and everywhere I put it is pretty red. xD. Nothing stung, and when I put it on my skin to test it I left it for about 30 minutes. But, on my face it leaves behind a red trail. My skin has never been sensitive. Normal, no?

  • Well i've tried the apple cider vinegar.. xD I think it's working, zit is getting smaller woo! :D

  • Hmmmm, I'll have to check this out. First step, Witch Hazel! I guess I can find that at any Drug Store?

  • @tengwarsenna grocery stores have it in the first aid section as well.

  • @JessieJoystick i've searched on google and it says witch hazel is a plant, wich can be called hamamelis too, i hope it helps haha

  • I LOVE this!!! It was in the back of my mind, but yesterday I felt some zits coming on. I put it on and left it overnight. This morning, it was almost completely gone. Thank you soooo much!!! I am going to try the toner now!! :)

  • What alot of people dont know that you need to motierizze ur face they think tht o no it will put oil on my face but the dryer ur face is the more oil ur face produces

  • @iamoliviagrace No problem! wouldn't want it to happen to anyone else!

  • witch hazel makes me break out for some reason. can i use anything else for the toner?

  • Thanks for sharing your advice and information on getting rid of acne and getting clear skin!

If you have any questions about acne or breakouts let me know... I'm sure I can help!

    Thanks!

    David "The Skin" King

  • @iamoliviagrace i made the mixture with green tea, and it sat on my vanity for a week or so and this morning its gave me an allergic reaction...so if you use the green tea, you should prob make small ammounts at a time

  • @iamoliviagrace hahah I meant the fridge, sorry haha! :P

  • omg had the biggest pimple & did what u said & 3 days later it was gone!! bout 2 make some toner ;) thanx btw it works better than the mario badsceau (sp?)!

  • I tried this and the toner, and it just made my face really really red.....aka an allergic reaction...

  • "Hey Alisha ,never heard that before cool.Ponds works to remove the scar after acne think about."

  • could you just make the toner without the witch hazel? cause i dont thinkk i have that stuff and i dont really know what it is

  • @iamoliviagrace since the measurements she's giving us are really small, I think you might keep it 'till you finish it, wash the bottle and make another one!(: my suggestion is, keep it in the freezer :D

  • i usualy use plaine white vinigar it does work well

  • Omg! I tried this because I was even going to the FREAKING DOCTORS OFFICE & their prescriptions work.. but not liek this! BEST combination evarrrr ;D Thank you Leesha, SO much! You're a life saver<3

  • How long does the toner stay okay to use?

  • am i supposed to brew the green tea ??

  • So, rather than using the apple cider vinegar, water, and witch hazel, can you use the apple cider vinegar alone, if you don't have sensitive skin?

  • @buffyandmusic You should always dilute the vinegar with a bit of water. It is really strong / acidic on it's own. Good luck.

  • @buffyandmusic like she said, it can be used, but just as a spot treatment, not an all over the face toner!

  • So I just wanted to say thank you for putting this video up! I've been using this for about a week now, and I've seen a HUGE improvement in my skin already!! Thank you so much!

  • I've been using Bragg organic apple cider vinegar (available in most health stores) in combination with organic essential oils (lavender, tea tree, oregeno, and lemongrass) and the results are awesome! I've tried EVERYTHING and natural is the way to go for me. Definitely will try the acv, witch hazel, and green tea mixture soon!

  • Where would you get the apple cider vinegar? I've looked all over and I can't find it.

  • does garlick really help with acne? i don't want to try because of the smell :P

  • @fifikoulini it's a really good antibacterial when it comes to acne... and for the smell, just don't put a lot, not just for the smell, but because it can burn your skin! good luck(:

  • @xGrisselG i have very sensitive skin but i think it's worth the try :) thanks for the reply btw ^_^

  • @fifikoulini me too! but when I used to use the garlic on my face, I used it as a spot treatment and leave it for 15 minutes or 10 and then wash my face and apply moisturizer, and my skin was fine with it, I hope it works for you

  • the mayo hair treatment works really good, trust me...i fried my hair after getting my hair stripped & left it on for an hour, yea it's hard to stomach but does wonders for your hair!

  • I really want to try that, it seens like a good idea, but where would I find both of the proucts? Thanks for the tip~!

  • You have such nice teeth!

  • Comment removed

  • I was wondering about maybe mixing these ingredients with some sort of exfoliant to make a scrub? What would work? Sugar, salt, what?

  • @ChristinaMDraper .....well, maybe not salt...

  • @ChristinaMDraper use sugar because it's great for unclogging pores and getting rid of dead skin cells plus when you mix it with cider vinegar you can make a mask

  • i think bubzbeauty said to use that and some green tea for a toner.

  • for those asking...

witch hazel is found in the band aid section of any grocery store, walmart, etc. =)

  • i heard green tea with the apple cider vinegar works well too. .

  • I've been using witch hazel for years on skin and apple cider vinegar in water as a gargle when I have a sore throat but mixing the two with green tea as a toner is awesome! Thanks for the tip ^_^

  • honey is really good if you want a real natural healthy shinny skin

  • I mixed up a batch of this yesterday (I used green tea instead of water) and applied it before I went to bed. I was skeptical, I've used a lot of products, some of which worked but left mt face dry/splotchy/oily, etc. I woke up this morning and nearly cried I was so happy with the results. I've NEVER had more even toned skin, softer skin, and the blemishes were smaller reduced in swelling, pain, AND redness.

Thank you so much Leesha for the recipe!

  • @LadyCobweb Hey! I'm so excited that this worked for you, but I had a quick question. Did you put moisturizer on over the toner, or not? Thanks!

  • I have been using this for years. If you're a woman of age it's also good for diminishing age spots on your face. You don't have to add witch hazel you can just dilute the apple cider vinegar with distilled water. I use this every other day. I also moisturize my face after 30 mins.

  • I make something like that with applecider vinegar, olive oil, lemon juice and brew the green tea in organic rice water ^^ It works very well , I'll have to look into the witch hazel .

  • @jade1052 Hahah, I'm too lazy to get witch hazel at the moment... this really does work? I'll get witch hazel in a day, unless this works. How long does this mixture that you make last?

  • this really works love it thanks for this great tip

  • I've had really oily acne prone skin my whole life and i recently bought some products from the body shop, they tell you which products sort your skin type and I can honestly say my skin is the best it has ever been :)

I bought the tea tree collection and it works amazingly, I'm not sure whether you have a body shop in the USA but I just thought i'd let you know.

Keep up the awesome vids Leesha :)

  • i love your hair blonde!

  • you can get that Witch Hazel from Walgreens.. Happy hunting!!

  • Omg, I just started using that today and i happened to run across your video just now because it was on my homepage. I even have the same bottle you have, the Fry's brand. If I hadn't found out about this treatment earlier today I would've once I'd seen your video. I have it on my face right now and the smell does Fade after about 30 mins. It's very faint right now.

  • where do you find the witch hazel, and the vinegar?

  • desitin, diaper rash creme works too. =] oh! and so does mens gel deoderant. =] dsiin is my fa though....iracle worker.!! love your videos by the way. keep up the great work!!

  • @mistyluvz about desitin diaper rash cream, what does it help? redness or acne or both? i have it right here since my sister babysits and i suffer from acne -_- so i was wondering :) thanks

  • You Look Beautiful!

  • how often do you use it?? morning, night ect...?

  • what is witch hazel???

  • Do you think apple cider vinegar help for acne scars too?

  • will this go bad? i'm always afraid of homemade remedies that might go sour or go bad if i leave it in my bathroom for a couple of weeks

  • i love your haiiir ! >:D

  • Quick question!! Let´s say i have this acne product that has worked pretty well, but it's not that strong or that effective. And i've used the apple sider viinegar and it works very well :D Do you think it would be wise to put some drops of vinegar into my acne product? :$

  • @cigoceth i wouldn't advise to try this as the cider could react with the other chemicals

  • i just started useing this yesterday and have already see a HUGE improvement in my face!! ir reduceds reddness and pimple size after only one day!!! thank u so much Leesha!! i even got my brother useing it who has had acne problems for years and he is seeing an amazing improvment also!! and to everyone this is defenatly something u should try!!

  • i used to put mayonnaise in my hair. it didnt work and my hair stunk all day. the human resources person at my job actually talked to me about it! my coworkers complained of the smell!

  • Comment removed

  • can red wine vinegar be a substitute??

  • lol ive done the mayo on the hair hahaha it was pretty gross

  • xsparkage you should check out bubzbeauty her acne and scar educing toner and mask she uses green tea ps wat is which hazel??

  • I'm so impressed with this! It works wonders and it works really fast! :D I love it. I've heard so much talk about this recently! X

  • you sound like amanda seyfried :)

  • Did you bleach/dye your hair blonde on your own or at a salon?

If you did it at home, could you make a video on how you dye your hair?

  • Thanks Leesha!

  • this was an awesome video..i'm in the skin care business, well currently not working right now, but i'm a licensed esthetician..and i love the all natural make it urself at home stuff...works just as good or even better then the synthesized stuff u buy at the store...thanx girl...

  • @3layerzdeep what up girl! should'nt you be renovating ...hahaha jk...did you know you can put this in your hair to help get out all the build up?! it works wonders for me but you really have to make sure you wash thoroughly!

  • @TheChum1981 what up chum!!, i should haha!!! still have so much to do, but u know how it is w/YT, it just sucks u in!!, u tell urself, "ok, just 30min ok, then u gotta go mop, or in my case putty up some drywall", but then 30mins turns into 2hrs!! it's so bad.. and yes, i actually do an AV rinse in my hair about once a month or so..helps to really get back the shine and just makes my curls bounce....

  • Have you ever watched Skins? You look like Naomi :)

  • Amazing - thanks!

  • I'm sorry if someone has mentioned this already and this is a repeat, but quite a few months back you talked about Mario Badescu (sp?). I am wondering if that is no longer working for you?

  • I just so happen to have all the ingredients for this so I can't wait to give it a try... Even though I don't really have acne /:

  • what's witch hazel? I know it's like a plant of some kind, but that bottle; extract? is it a toner, a clenser? something you put into foods?? XD

there's no product made from it in sweden... can I replace it with something else?

  • @JessieJoystick yeah i have the same question, is that just pure witch hazel, or is it a toner or something? all i can find here in the uk are witch hazel toners toners.

  • @aurorelacote It is in a brown medicine bottle in the chemist ask over the counter.

  • @JessieJoystick it's a natural toner.

  • @bamargerawhat so it's just pure witch hazel in a bottle?

There's no such thing in Sweden :/

    bummer

I really need to move -.-'

  • @JessieJoystick Jag kan bara hålla med. Så himla surt!

  • @JessieJoystick I live in Sweden too :/

  • @JessieJoystick Hejsan! Jag är ganska säker på att ICA har det... Tror jag sett det där :)

  • "Apple cider vinegar" sounds like something that should smell pleasant. Like, maybe a little appley. But so far, it just smells like feet. :/

  • Dear YouTube,

The Like/Dislike system, I can live with. I've gotten used to it now.

The new comment layout, fine with me.

But THIS, is just too much too take! The front page has completely lost it's organized, simple layout!

I don't know where you get your ideas, but I think I speak for a big part of the community when I say "YouTube, go **** yourself."

I hate people who ask for thumbs up, but this is not funny. This is serious! Give this a thumbs up and copy/paste it around

  • @hotgirl12950 TOTALLY, TOTALLY AGREE! I HATE NEW LAYOUT!

  • @hotgirl12950 couldn't agree more. the new home page, along with everything else you mentioned, is one GIANT step backwards for Youtube. scrolling down for 10 years instead of seeing my subscriptions placed in ONE area like they should be is not practical or convenient at all...add to that the fact that every time i click a video and go back to my subscriptions list, it is right back at the top showing only the newest videos meaning i have to click the down arrow 20 more times again. FML

  • @hotgirl12950 LOL! I know you didn't write this, but this is totally NOT serious. These things are so funny. Like we'll all DIE if YouTube doesn't switch their format back. I think it's annoying, too, but I'll adjust. Sorry, I just thought this post was funny. :P

  • This was amazing. Tried it earlier today, and a pimple I had is greatly reduced. Thank you SO SO SO much, Leesha <3333

  • I've been using St. Ives' Green Yea Acne Cleanser with thte Apricot Acne Scrub and it's really been working well for me, I used a long time ago and it stopped working after awhile but finally cae back to it and it's working once again. Hope that helps. xo

  • Mayo in the hair, as gross as it sounds, works really well. The smell is almost unbareable. But it does work.

  • @kateandalrock

i've done it before and for me it didn't work. all i got was nastly oily hair (which didn't help any), a bunch of oil streaming down my face and back, and now i can't eat mayo at all.

So for most people i wouldn't recomend it because it only made my skin more oily.

  • @JESUSFREAK1821 But when you damage the life out of your hair, sometimes you need the extra oil and that's what the mayo is supposed to help with. As a general rule, my hair is oily, but after dying it three different colors, bleaching it and then perming it, I needed something to bring some amount of life back into it. Mayo did the trick. I wouldn't recomend it for healthy hair, but dry damaged hair, it's a life saver.

  • I use ACV (Braggs brand) as a toner every night. I have a bottle with a 50/50 mix of ACV and spring water; after I wash my face with a mild cleanser (Clinique), I put the toner all over my face, let it dry, and then use a retinol-based night cream (which adds back some moisture). My skin has never been so soft and clear. I'm nearly 30 and everyone always tell me I look 20. Great tip, Leesha! :)

  • i am going to the health food shop tomorrow to get this!! hope they have it because i dont think its very popular here in ireland! im literally despairing over my skin right now cuz im 22 and ive never had such bad spots EVER :( maybe this will be the miracle cure i need!!x

  • Could you use regular vinager??? I´m from Iceland and they don´t sell most stuff that you can easily buy in the USA.
