Today I made Vodka in biology class while we were learning about the solvent properties of water :D

Used 40: 60 (100% Ethanol: Water), Then added some glucose. Hey, it didn't taste like Absolut but it wasn't that bad. lol

Vodka wasn't made from potatoes in Poland. Vodka actually was made there before even potatoes were known [potatoes came from South America - after Americas was discovered in the 15th and 16th century]!

ok this is gonna sound crazy, but my uncle made some sort of spirit out of lemons that was around 90% vol, and im not even kidding, it was mad. what might this have been, and would the process of making it be the same as vodka?

Probably 'Limoncello' (very popular in Southern Italy), effectively it's just flavoured vodka.

It is a lie, Lithuanians (Samogitians to be precise) invented vodka (vodka from grain crops to be precise), the strongest drink that a russian could make at that time was over-fermented kvass ranging from 10 to 20 procent of alcohol. The poles started to make that insult of vodka because it was very cheap compared to our method and because the demand in poland was very high, due to the large amount of bums and drunkards...
