  • i was worried, but then i realiezed it was uploaded 2 years ago... HAH!

  • Can't do that...

I use my iPhone with SimpleMobile so it has to be unlocked witch means it also has to be jailbroken.

    Guess I'm f@&<ed.

  • This is 09 nothing worry about now then hah

  • @NIGGAKFC Whats wrong with you?!

  • if only the iphone had OTA updates. android ftw.

  • emm, I thought nothing from apple had viruses..

  • @HellInBurn

its a trojan, a game with a trojan in it!

  • @HellInBurn That's only because most people uses windows, and no one actually bothered to hack a mac.

  • @HellInBurn its not a virus its a hack

  • @HellInBurn Its not a virus really... Its like what he said "A text message with some code" So the code is like a script that can allow the hacker to gain control over parts of your phone... More of a Hack then virus.

  • @SCHOOLOFROCK22 describe a virus and what it does -_-

  • haha, as bad as it is, that's funny, the unhackable has been hacked.

  • thanks!

  • u in the army still iam at hood got out a few yrs ago, thanks for the info great vid

  • Except the fact that you lose all your calander data...

  • So you will lost your Jailbreak

Comex made an app in cydia that an alarm will pop up before open a pdf

  • I thought this video was going to be a "Haha I got you to click on this" or something but thankfully it's not.

  • Guyadeen1 instead that name your name should be gaylittleboy1

  • what is the oldest version of iPhone os that has this update?

  • @MrPhotoshop997 iPhone 3G.

  • @HefferHefferHeffer Wait, this is a year old. LMAO.

  • I thought this only applied to jailbroken iPhones. Anyway, this was way back last August and I've updated mine a couple times already so I guess I'm good.

  • @StigTube06 What a dumb rascist.

  • @StigTube06 you have so god damm respect you god damm terrorist hes a solider who fights for his country and you plAY video games on youre fat ass

  • @Guyadeen1 Seems playing games on my fat ass taught me how to speak English much better than you do jewish. Nigger aint no fucking soldier, hes on youtube every other day looking all black and stuff

  • @StigTube06 Awww, little KKK in need of attention? You make me laugh man.

  • thanks dude this really helped me a lot because this is definatelly current

  • all you had to do is turn it off and back on and bam no hack

  • actualy with the battery off its still could have been hacked.

  • @GMELECTRONICS365 no it couldnt and it gave the user minor control, like txt msg logs ans call logs. just malitious stuff. and if the device is powered off it cant do anything cuz it reset the network IP for the phone so no more control. i hacked mine with the software myself and lost control after a reboot (had to send the 500 msg again, wich takes forever). and my buddy who works at apple told me the same thing. android and palm had the same virus too.

  • dude thank's im happy that u told me that ..i know i need to update but i didn't know thay rel new update..(my friend gotta iphone3gs) i need to buy one:)

  • These people are nerds. When u say that, they automaticly think ur a dude. And how in the world can someone be gay? :O

  • @tiffandpiper lol

  • Sorry But you are wrong about update 3.0.1

The exploit was a Buffer Overflow discovered in iPhoneOS 3.0

It was discovered by a Developer from Apple origionally. Apple was notified of the exploit at WWDC 2009

The discoverer of the exploit did NOT intend to release it publically. However at blackhat conference he done a demo of the exploit where users signed up with the telephone number of their iPhone as a Poc which apple was in attendance.

  • I also got a nice "army" t shirt !

  • they can..i actaully read about it...they send you a text that shows a single square,it was actually 500 TEXTS

  • I Wanna Win!!!

  • hello :-)

  • Wow i really respect this guy for making this video and warning people about the danger of a hacker, much appreciated!

  • I Knew Nothin About This haha

Thanks For Makin This Cuz I Thought It Was A Just An Update =)

  • Irony in this video is that the dude is self-professedly a soldier and he does the "Fuck you" gesture with his hand when he says "Peace" at the end. As if to say "Fuck peace. If people weren't dying I'd be out of a job."

  • blahblahblah

  • dis guys too smart to be a soldier. get a job instead

  • some people are not educated in other cultures, but I saw it too.

  • I always hit subscribe on your videos and realize I am already subscribed.

  • i remember about this .. apple knew about it a month before .. but this hack was stupid ..

Reason #1 : The hack was done by Sending a text with a special character ther the iPhone doesnt understand. When the iPhone tried to display the character, iPhone gets confused and becomes vunreble.

Reason #2:: the vunrebility period only lasts at most 10 seconds, so the hacker would have to send a text every 10 seconds ( or every 9 seconds for straight action ) . But i have an iPod touch . idc.

  • im doing it right now

  • why the fuk would u be making one right now Idiot so u can hack iphones and ipods and ruin every thing

  • Nice of you.

  • i dont have at&t....

  • you can still have an iphone without at&t but its just really shitty so they made it at&t recommended

  • well i didnt choose it....my dad made me get the iphone 3g...

  • CANT BE BOTHERED DOING IT

  • lol, this guy says this stuff like someone couldn't of done this before now, I'm sure that AT&T does this kind of stuff all the time.

  • Thank you very much

  • Get with the times and follow the iPhone Dev Team. Even with the update ur iPhone is still vulnerable in more than one way via SMS. Check out Twitter for the newest news.

  • Thanks for the info

  • what?

  • yer tha fag.

  • i wonder why this guy told apple?

  • **Alert** supertard01 has just spammed this video

  • Comment removed

  • fuck u bitch get ass fucked by ur kkk

  • dumb white trash

  • me?

  • Dude thanks bud!!!!!! :)

  • the only way to text your phone is if they know your phone number.. thats so lame man! wasting your making this video!

  • uhh they can do random numbers buddy..

plus it's not that hard just finding them.

if they can hack, they can find numbers!

wasting your time with your comment!

    smarty pants, got them on?

  • So people are gonna spend hours dialing in random numbers when:

    1. possibility of dialing a house number

    2. possibility of dialing other cellphone users

    3. waste their own minutes

    4. people can easily change phones

Chances of you dialing a number which is an iPhone isn't even realistic.

There's no hate for the video, but your comment about dialing random numbers is just unrealistic. There's nothing that indicates a number belongs to what phone since people can switch phones at any time.

  • A lot of people post their numbers on social network sites like facebook.

  • THANKZ ALOT ;P

  • what if you got a jailbroken and unlocked iphone w/3.0 and got the carries to block all incoming texts, do i need to update without locking my phone?

  • I have a few iPhones and I want to see this "person" try to hack them. GL, LOL.

  • lol its probably bil gates trying to fuck around with apple LOL!

  • Thats so funny!!!!!

  • You`re a good person. (:

Well, I don't have an iPhone, i have an iPod Touch so I guess this doesn't concern me, but thanks for informing iPhone users!

  • that guy must be smart a fuckin hell

  • This technology has always been there since the invetion of the camera and the microphone on your cell phones. This is the actions of the MASONIC agenda in order to control the masses and prepare them slowly for and inevitable MARTIAL LAW, they can track you, listen to you and watch you on the camera whenver they please. Soon new born babies will have chips in them withouth the parents coonsent, SO WAKE UP YOU SHEEP AND STOP WATCHING CRAP LIKE dancing with the stars and get real

  • omgggggggggggggggg

  • THANKS A LOT!!!

  • updated good for apple

  • does this delete jailbreak if that is appropriate to ask?

  • hy there , u seem like a nice person... watch my new video and tell me what u think..xD

  • and apple fanatics say apple cant be hacked aaaaaaaaah what ignorant fucks!

  • i m canadian does this still matter ??? lol

  • thats intense.

  • apple can suck my balls fucking technology all these "new gadgets" will kill us all

  • how will they kill us all??? Guns dont kill anybody, its the man that squeezes the trigger who does. Same for new gadgets i guess.

  • they wont kill us in the meaning of death but in the meaning of killing us in social life people dont interact anymore with someone they dont know because information is everywhere so no need to ask the old lady where the grocery is. Its a proven fact that people who use sms to chat have some kind of difficulty to talk with anyone even with a friend anyway thats what i meant by killing us all of course youll never see a cellphone cut the throat of someone lol that would be funny but unreal hehe

  • what u dont no the governments have already been doing this for years with mobiles...

this update will stop average joe doing it but governments will still do it..

  • Yeah, They are putting chips in everything to see where you are, or to shut it off.

They are putting chips in, drivers lisc, Passport, phones, and soon in you.

government does all sorts of things they dont tell you.

  • Maybe the US government, not the Canadian government.

  • Good job, sir. Thanks.

  • Cheers from the UK

  • smoke POT!!

  • Thank you so much for making this video! Without this video a lot of iPhones would probably be hacked. Thank you!

  • damn virus on phones what next lol

  • Does this new update (3.0.1) still allow the jailbreak and unlock?

  • yup and actually u select the same firmware (3.0) as b4

  • Thanks man.

  • I got the beta 4g, I'm better than you!

  • you're an idiot. i love apple, but what you just said is fucking pathetic and untrue.

  • TELL THAT TO AppleSoldier BEOTCH!

  • You should atleast wait until the summer because the iPhone 4g should be out :]. So its like me with my 3g not knowing about the 3g s!! Just a type ;]

    Thanks for announcing this. :)

  • thanks a bunch man

  • is it just for 3g s?

    or for 3g too?

  • Shoot

  • thanks Soldier

  • According to the iPhone hacking community (not malicious but jailbreaking and such) they have taken a look at the code in the malicious text message and the updates and found that the 3.1 update does not even come close to stopping the problem. They only patched a small bit of the problem that would be very easy for a hacker to create a workaround for. Source: @MuscleNerd on Twitter

  • he wasn't going to unveil it for hackers to know. he was going to warn the general public that it is possible. and something to look out for. the same guy warned apple about another thing last year too (forgot what) and they fixed it days after getting the warning but he probably figured "hey if i know how there must be other hackers out there that do to. and apple hasn't done anything about it yet so i might want to warn people about it"

if i find sources i'll post them. but anyways its fixed.
