  • Tv on the radio sounds so good in concert, yup, no auto tune bullshit here =)

  • that was amazing.

  • It's horrendous to see such an incredible song being performed with such raw emotion and then to see a bunch of douchers barely moving. Learn how to attend concerts.

  • @cr119809 learn how to realize people react differently to music.

  • dude....i would be destroying the building during this song!?!?!?! wussup wit da crowd!?!?!?!??!?!

  • @theplanet1985 it's Seattle, we typically don't go nuts for some reason. Hard to draw emotion out of some of our crowds.

  • @theeemurf fuck that shit. Seattle kids go nuts for good music, and this show was GREAT. Stupid Seattle hipsters think they know what the fuck is up with great bands...let me remind you - most "Seattle" bands didn't come from Seattle at all. They came from Olympia, Aberdeen, hell, even Port Townsend. So yeah, don't let dumbass hipsters from the city of Seattle ruin the good name of underground rock by claiming that sound for their own. And you can take that to the bank, hipsters.

  • Furthermore, dude, I defy you to name 5 bands that were influential in the 90s that actually came from Seattle. Like downtown Seattle. Like Pioneer, 3rd street, wherever. You can't, man, you can't...because they don't exist.

  • @cliquehop the show is taking place in Seattle, thus why I said Seattle. I didn't say anything about where bands are from, don't know why you're calling me out on that. I totally agree about bands not being from Seattle proper in the 90's. Currently though most of the best music is happening on Cap Hill, Beacon Hill, Pioneer Square (OC Notes). If you look at the show people aren't going nuts and from many of the shows I've been to people don't always get real wild in the SEA.

  • hey i was at this show! good stuff

  • @thetacomaaroma So was I, and there is great audio for this set. Too bad it's not synced up with this video...

  • @majordysfunkshun block party only days away!

  • @thetacomaaroma Wish I could afford it. Hopefully someone else will tape the set, but I'm not aware of anyone else taping TV over the past 7 years in the NW. Hope I'm wrong. FYI: also playing The Edgefield near Portland, and a couple of indoor dates in Vancouver, BC.

  • The bass guitar guy stands backwards, thats rocknroll

  • @leeph May he rest in peace.

  • that white girl looks soooo out of place

  • I think the drums make this version better than the studio version for me.

  • WTF? They just came to Mexico City yesterday and when they played this song the people went insane, this crawd look way too calmed.

  • CHILLING!

  • Rest in Peace, Gerard Smith

  • Love how the bassist's just chillin like a villain at the back XD

  • Holy fuck this sounds great live.

  • CANNOT WAIT TO SEE THEM

  • wtf?! The leader singer is black?!.....huh I learned something today

  • LEFT HAND! haha love this song!!!!!!

  • I've never seen a singer so completely into the music. Amazing performance.

  • @lellel12

    M

So you've never heard of At the Drive-in, Atmosphere, The Mars Volta, or Wolf Parade then? theres plenty of good music out there sheeple.

  • this is playhouses btw

  • Hard as fuck!

  • 3:15 is awesome, everyone goes crazy "hot! here hot! here"

  • if you play pgr4 with this song. it makes you feel good

  • @markenyou this song was in nfs prostreet too

  • HOLY SHIT. The album version hooked me, but live is just hits you SO much harder!

  • I bough the return to cookie mountain album because of the album artwork and the title of one of the tracks "wolf like me" being a massive howlin wolf fan i took it as an omen and im glad i did its a fantastic album amazing lyrics by a great band.

  • Check out my band's cover of Wolf Like Me! Visit our channel and let us know what you think!

  • @automorrow stop posting this on every upload of wolf like me, your version sucks.

  • We're just fans of the band and song and wanted to share our performance with other fans. Thanks for checking it out anyway!

  • TUNE!

  • great job but he doesn't really hit those high notes on the chorus. not the only guy these days the studio helps i realize, just sayin. his presence is definitely there tho

  • @fenticles The way a performance is recorded, always makes a difference... but low fi is the true spirit of rock & roll I think. If how good someone sings matters a lot to you, listen to RNB. I don't think rock'n'roll is about that. The nineties rescued rock from the hi fi, overproduced, wanky tedium of the eighties. I think this band does it quite well, live.

  • this band is sick

    seen them 5 times

best song of this decade imo

  • @derbystinks one of the best live bands ever

  • Katrina Ford of Celebration is that cutie girl

  • I totally agree with the guy below me...... fuking incredible song.

How do u come up with a song like this..... amazing !!!!

  • this song is so amazing to the point where i can not describe. I've listened to it dozens of time and it never gets old.

  • Wow!!!!!!!!!!!

    This is power !

  • Wow the white girl is so hoooooot...!!!

    I rated 5/5 stars...Awsome...!!!

    Great song...Great band...Great music...

  • By the way the girl from the yeah yeah yeahs is Karen O.

  • he looks like eboue from arsenal

  • or the bassist from Silversun Pickups, Nikki Monninger.

  • that band is good 2. but this is better

  • i totally agree, this band is waaaayy better.

  • Who is Katrina Ford?(the white girl)

  • from a Baltimore-based band called Celebration, David Sitek(of TVotR) is their producer/friend. (source: wikipedia)

  • it says katrina ford right on there you dummys. how does she look like the girl from yea yea yeahs? no way jose. i love this guy! he dances around and expresses every feeling he has with everybone in his body on stage! good stuff.

  • lol this isn't about white people or black people. this is about music and these guys rock!

  • thank you!!! good comment. that's exactly what I try to tell people. I've expanded my musical horizons, so to speak. I just started listenin to rock and metal last year.

And I can honestly say I've been missin out....this is wus up right here.

  • OMFG 3:12. So awesome

  • as if this crowd isn't going nuts..

  • who's the white girl???

  • margaret thatcher

  • i feel bad for them those fans are so calm

  • No kidding. Great performence though.

  • I really miss a afro american vocalist in a rock.band!!! I love the vokal and the rest of the band!

  • you can say black now.

  • yes it is ok. so say my BLACK friends.

  • this song fuels my drive as pure alcohol does to fire !!!

    awesome tune guys !!

  • I have seen your video like 5 time over the last year, great upload, true gem

  • saw them live--they're good live, but the problem is that they lose a lot of the layered vocals live, as well, that they have in the albums

  • ive seen plenty-a-bassist have fun on stage dude.

  • Man. Two years after the fact, this song is still a legitimate barnburner!

I wish I had seen them on this tour but tix sold out just as soon as they went on sale.

  • HELL YEAHS>>>>>COACHELLA!!!!!

  • This guy acts as the husband in "Rachel getting married" saw it last night and I thought it was him.

  • I missed this show, but when my friends got back they raved about it! They are much better live than on their albums - rare by today's standards of music. I 100% suggest to watch them live, it's worth the money.

  • Wow, most people say the opposite, but considering their last two albums are probably in my top 20 all time, they must be fucking brilliant live if you're right

  • I have to say that this is untrue; I have seen them 3 times and they are pretty bad live.

  • Incredible. It makes me want to see them live even more.

  • Chills down my back

  • That song is simply ingenious!!!

  • thats Katrina Ford of the band Celebration.. ;) but very powerful song..makes me want to kick some A**!!!

  • makes me want to take a woman, but to each their own

  • I love these guys and this song, but whats with the skinny white girl?

  • girl looks a bit faggy

  • really good

  • trop bon cette musique. J'aime trop!!!!

    continuez les gas ca déchire!!!

  • she loves the BBD

  • WOW! How can you tell? Maybe cause there's three of them in the band! Ha!

  • is that the bassist for silver sun?

  • I hope so, she is hott!

  • brilliant!

  • poweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer song

  • Haha. The girl singing with him is cute and skanking like a pro.

  • these dudes r sic

  • why is the bassist being so anti-social?

I can't say that he isn't having fun but it doesn't look like it.

  • Hahah, you should watch John Paul Jones at a Zeppelin show if you think that's bad.

  • Most bassists look like they don't have fun playing, it's practically normal. Very rarely do u find a colourful bassist- case in point, Peter Hook of New Order

  • ever see pete way from UFO?

  • whos the chick. she needs a pounding

  • um if you've listened to the album version of their songs it's actually quite layered. They incorporate a wide variety of string and brass instruments while using electronics as well. It's actually quite original.

  • youre stupid. SO MUCH about this band is original and groundbreaking. its rediculous

  • fuck grounbreaking or original. it's passionate and it beats anything usually fed to you on tv/radio. try feeling it x

  • i don't know man, i have to disagree as well. what band do you think they sound like? i can't really think of any bands that combine such a raw, complex sound with melodies that are so beautiful when you strip them down. and yeah the lyrics are great too. i applaud you for your calm and objective argument though.

  • what bands do you listen to since you seem to mention groundbreaking in your side of the arguement/comment. I know you werent trying to talk shit about them but it came out that way.

THey are really great and you should consider that in fact they dont call themselves groundbreaking or original, or in anything at all, its only magazines calling them that, it all depends on you, i fucking love this band but its not for everyone

  • dude.. the drums rock your balls off.

i'm not going to be an ass.. you're entitled to your opinion.

a lot of their percussion is african influenced.

add on some low end bass and nothing can go wrong!

but i'm the type of person who really digs on some drum/bass.

  • ahh, much better then the Letterman show... much much much better lol

  • yeah, yeah - tequila rose shots and bongs!

  • kick ass

  • some douche thinks the cover by local h is better. I think he must be higher than all you guys!

  • Not higher than me.

  • that shit was funny right there!!

  • Hell yeah! Katrina Ford is a fox!!!

  • oi, they come along ways since this, got to start some where though, live and learn.

  • What a stoned musician? Next you'll be telling me priest touch alter boys.

  • word.

  • omfg who is that girl?

  • Katrina Ford.

  • Great song. Btw what's the name of that girl? Is she connected to the band in any way?

  • yes

  • i luv these guys they kick ass!!!!!!!!

  • ...and this matters how? they're producing great music.

  • Hey, as long as they're not into the hard stuff. We have enough talented artists leaving us before their time.

  • and look where they are

  • no offense, man, but i'm significantly less than shocked to find out these guys are stoned

  • they're musicians, it's not like a little ganja and inspiration is gonna kill them. it shouldn't come as a surprise that these guys are blazing it all the time. its part of the indie music culture.

  • im high as fuck right now

  • best comment i've seen on myspace in a while! awesome! haha

  • -_- this isnt myspace!

  • lmfao, this guy was obviously high

  • lol me 2 dude im fuckin roasted toatsed caked and baked

  • same. listening to this song high is ridiculous. i recommend it highly.

  • haha lol

  • I love her 80´s two step dance.

  • Wow... his voice, listening to them so much right now, Katrina Ford looks like mel out of Flight of the conchords at the beginning hehe

    x

  • soul

  • Is the basist a little bit shy or what?

  • that's what i hear. i also hear he's a hell of a bassist

  • He might just be doing the big rock star back-turned-to-the-audience kind of thing. =)

  • heard he has stagefright.?

  • Love this band, wanna hear more of there stuff

  • were howling forever.. oh, oh this song is the shit~!~!~!~!~!

  • the girl is fuckin brilliant.

i don´t know her but i´m in love..

  • who is the girl? no interaction with the band at all. kind of funny

  • tv on the radio is the coolest band

  • ça déchire :)

  • that white chick is pointless, other than for comedy effect for lack of any rhythm

  • live is better..much..

  • actually ImNotReal gym class heroes and tvotr are completely different and before gch went mainstream sell out they played really good indie hip hop not your average BET MTV VH1 bullshit

  • T.V. hasn't sold out, you hater. Musicians got the right to cash a check, pack a theatre, make another album (corporate or not), and otherwise live a life that rocks the way they want. People need to get over their juvenile ideas of what art can be. It can be fuckin' huge and real. Wank off.

  • why are they so good?

  • its because they harmonize better than anyone since the beatles.

  • Yeah, and they actually use their talents to make good music. Unlike the beatles.

  • dumb ass.

  • Interesting observation from a guy called ManLoveMonk

  • Was that a come back? I'm hoping it wasn't, I was under the impression that comments were only for intelligent conversation.

  • You can't insult The Beatles and expect to be taken seriously.

  • Your mum takes me pretty seriously.

  • What a dumb ass remark.

  • Again, it's nice to see the quality of intelligent retorts from users who choose names like peestandingup. Did your sister teach you how to do that?

  • Yeah, thats real original making fun of something as generic as a youtube user name that doesn't mean shit. That seems to be your bag given your past comments. How old are you again??

You dont have to like the Beatles' music (Im not a big fan either). But saying something as asinine as they weren't talented is about the stupidest fucking thing I've heard in a while.

Keep your dumb ass comments to yourself, you immature dork. Grow up.

  • To say the beatles didnt use their talent is idiotic, no offense. They had a huge array of talent with Ringo, John, Paul, George, all of them could play multiple instruments, sing, and write.

No saying TV isn't hugely talented, but the Beatles had more talent and did use that talent.

The huge amount of Beatles songs, and albums is proof of that.

  • not all hip hop is bad, just alot of it thats on tv is

  • Agreed, a lot of popular hip hop is worthless.

  • i disagree.. maybe the lyrics are a bit stupid/meaningless but definatly not worthless. lots of hip/hop is good to jam to and dance to.

  • ...or white guys. That's all I'm saying

  • Friggin kick ass, wonderin' where other black rock bands are at? Shame.
