It always gets me laughing when they pull these quotes that are huge and they all are basically saying the same thing "The man was innocent, due to fault in the Private DNA labs" This is what Ron Paul brought up in the debate a few weeks ago, he said that the Americans need to change and regulate DNA labs instead of having them privitized. In my opinion that will save billions in wrongful convictions,free up court time etc.

Ron Paul is a very smart man. He's an excellent economist, but beware. Given the chance, he would strip the government to bare bones and leave millions with no scholoarships, no social security, or any other reasonable government benefits. Ron Paul is very intelligent, but he's still a Republican. Republicans have elite retirement plans and plenty of money, so they don't have any need for government benefits.
I highly doubt that electing Ron Paul, or anyone else, will change a damn thing in this country, as the president doesn't have the power to change the country. However, I'd rather vote for a decent candidate than a horrible one.

Tax cuts help the rich, not the poor. Right now taxes are lower than they have been since the g. depression. AKA increase productivity, and what will that lead to? it will lead to the WORKER earning more as he is in command of more resources, as he alone produces more not only does it free up labor to do other stuff but it makes him in command of more resources, aka worth more and therefore will earn more. on top of that, it increases the amiability of resources and therefore the price.

Billionaires tripled their income in the last 10 years while the lower and middle classes saw little to no growth. the gap between the rich and poor is higher than in the last 80 or so years, taxes r lower than they've been since the Korean war. The 2 are linked, cause tax cuts help the rich.

We've been implementing "trickle down" economics since Reagan and this is where it got us -obviously its a system designed by the rich to help themselves to get richer.

Why does that lead to higher wages? simply because the laborer is in command of a bigger amount of resources. remember government cannot create money basically it can only steal it, either trough the inflation tax, income tax, sales tax or other taxes.

@imtonasty If you really want to end crony capitalism (as do I), there needs to be a cap on corporate campaign contributions. When the Supreme court voted to remove this cap, they opened the floodgates for corruption. Another way to limit it is to not create a system where corporations can become so rich and powerful that they can influence legislation. You do that by taxing people more if they make more (like we do). Currently, the inequality indicates that we need to tax the rich more.

I'm not in favor of dividing the cake out evenly -that would be communism. But there is a balance that must be maintained if you (assuming you are not a billionaire) don't want to find yourself doomed to poverty.
@tneighbors Under a Progressive Tax system (like the US has) you would naturally find the rich benefiting more from a tax cut because they pay more in taxes. The bottom 50% of wage earners in this country share 3% of the Federal Income Tax burden. Many of the "poor" pay zero income taxes. So, let's see...if I get a tax cut from zero...I'm not going to benefit anything! Hence the advent of "tax credits" to help the poor "benefit" more from a tax cut.

Given the chance, he would strip the government to bare bones and leave millions with no scholoarships, no social security, or any other reasonable government benefits. Tax cuts help the rich, not the poor. Right now taxes are lower than they have been since the g. depression. As a result, the rich have gotten richer throughout this recession and the income gap between the rich and the poor has not been greater in the US since the g. depression. 127 individuals own 30% of the wealth in the US. AKA increase productivity, and what will that lead to? it will lead to the WORKER earning more as he is in command of more resources, as he alone produces more not only does it free up labor to do other stuff but it makes him in command of more resources, aka worth more and therefore will earn more. on top of that, it increases the amiability of resources and therefore the price.

Billionaires tripled their income in the last 10 years while the lower and middle classes saw little to no growth. the gap between the rich and poor is higher than in the last 80 or so years, taxes r lower than they've been since the Korean war. @imtonasty If you really want to end crony capitalism (as do I), there needs to be a cap on corporate campaign contributions. When the Supreme court voted to remove this cap, they opened the floodgates for corruption. Another way to limit it is to not create a system where corporations can become so rich and powerful that they can influence legislation. You do that by taxing people more if they make more (like we do). Currently, the inequality indicates that we need to tax the rich more.

The bottom 50% of wage earners in this country share 3% of the Federal Income Tax burden. Many of the "poor" pay zero income taxes. So, let's see...if I get a tax cut from zero...I'm not going to benefit anything! Hence the advent of "tax credits" to help the poor "benefit" more from a tax cut.

Ron Paul said "We are overtaxed"? the reality is our taxes are lower relative to the GDP than they have been since the great depression. Read Between the lines people. Tax cuts help the rich far more than they help the poor. That is why the rich have been prospering and billionaires are doubling their income throughout this recession while the rest suffer. We need to stop falling for the "lower taxes" carrot these fake politicians keep dangling in front of our noses. Do NOT vote for Ron Paul!!

Even being a Canadian, hearing Ron Paul speak makes me so excited to see him run for president. He's such a smart, educated, and logical man that you just can't help but agree with him. He is a soft spoken doctor with a heart of gold. I would vote for him. I would vote for freedom.

Too often I hear that the constitution should be viewed as a living document which means that we should focus more on implications throughout the constitution rather than its literal meaning. However, a living constitution is actually a DEAD one. When the government has the power to justify its uncostitutional activities by suggesting their actions are derived from constitutional implications, the orignal constitution has no power. Yeah, I hate Rick Perry and if he ever grabbed me like that I would give him one warning to let go before I broke his nose.
I also hate Mitt Romney. But what happened in the guys family tree is very inappropriate. So what if his Mormon ancestors were polygamists? Are we to judge a man based on the actions of his father now?
Romney has done plenty of things to warrant discrediting and ire. What his fore bearers did is not something that should be held over his head.
