  • God... this music shivers my soul...

  • I'm going to record this song & put it on my next CD..there will NEVER be another Harold "Conway" Jenkins Twitty!

  • He never talked in his concerts or carried on conversations while on stage. He let his singing do the talking for him. All that was needed.

  • conway twiity was the best country singer back then he was a man that had a voice that the lord blessed him with

  • been a Conway fan since a kid...im a little diverse in my music...country jazz blues and rock...seems all has its good points...jusy love music...to me music speaks to the soul and soothes it....

  • WOW!!!!!

  • Wonderful!! He does it sooooo Good!!

  • I'm not gonna lie. I've always thought this was a Blake Shelton original. But this is much better!

  • Conway had a commanding stage presence...no Britney crap needed just him and his voice.

  • You can tell this man loves to sing and does not take his audience for granted. Fabulous job!

  • one word:chills

  • conway could have sang the ABC's and 8 out of 10 woman would have came by the letter M,lol

  • Conway sung to every womans heart. He felt what he sang and the pain he projected reflected he felt it to.

  • this is one hell of a song and conway does it best just like everything he ever did including the song i sang for my dad when he died, "thats my job!"

  • my 14 years of age daughter, walked in while i was listening to the music of my day. she asked me where these people are, because she never hears them on the radio. i tried to explain to her what was happening to the country music industry best as i could. her reply was, what a bunch of idiots running the music business uhh dad. she and i sat for over and hour and listened to the great CONWAY TWITTY.

  • @headredbone your daughter is obviously wiser than the suits in trashville are.

  • now thats music

  • They just don't make em like Conway anymore! I was honored to open for Marty Stewart at the 1st Conway Twitty Memorial festival in Shannon, Ms back in the mid 90's. Conway is one of my alltime favorites! thanks for sharing!

  • This is the real DEAL!! This is how it's done, man I miss this guy!! love you Conway!!

  • Simply the best.........

Could someone pls find the song he did, "I Just Had You On My Mind" and put it on here????? I have searched and searched for it. I love it soooooo much!!!

  • PURE RAW TALENT THAT IMPROVED WITH AGE !!!! NONE BETTER

  • so much passion, heart and soul. I love Blake's version too but it can't hold a candle to Conway. I totally feel the sadness in his voice. Genius!!

  • Now THAT is singing with with your heart and soul!

  • I saw conway when he first started singing country music. He was peforming on the back of a flat truck at the Morristown Tn. plaza. Great song.

  • Great voice

  • Conway perfection.

  • @MegaLesterS He should of been entertainer of the year repeatedly. That sums it up

  • good performancee,,

    when did he die?

  • the man gives me chubbies

  • @zuckstud

  • what a voice the late conway twitty had such a great talent

rest in peace conway love always your fan - barbara .

  • There is no one left in Nashville that can hold a candle to Conway. He was one of a kind-a legend whose music will live forever. RIP, my friend. Seventeen years after your death, we still miss you.

  • the man very few counrty singers can reach this kind of legacy

  • amazing song and man one of my first crushes as a young girl

  • Crazywulf would like this

  • Wow!! What a voice, he puts his heart and soul into every single word.

  • lovr this man and anything he sang

  • I like Blake Shelton's version, but there is no comparison to Conway's version. He is truly missed.

  • Damn!!!!!! this is simply awesome

  • Simply Awesome.

  • I love this song bought the cd as soon it was out love it.Gives me goosebumbs everytime I hear it,never get tired of hearing MINE CONWAY,Like I said ther is no other tks for posting

  • I know some of my younger friends first heard this song on the Blake Shelton cover and didn't know Conway did it first. I can't imagine them going back to that after seeing this performance. I got a kick out of one person sending me the Blake video and then sending the original back to them with the message, "This is how it's done."

  • Amen my friend.

  • @ramey58 Amen! Any singer who dares to cover one of Conway's songs is going to fall short of the master. Conway was one of kind-the greatest ever! RIP Conway.

  • @ramey58 hell yeah same here dude!!

  • I don't know of any song that conway sung that he didn't put ALL of his heart into....... There will never be another like him

  • thanks again Mark, I love Conway, ALWAYS have... and this IS my very FAV Conway Twitty song, came out right when my ex hubby and I were divorcing KILLS ME EVERYTIME I hear it to this day, and it has been 11 yrs... miss Conway, shame he left us so soon... RIP Conway... ♪≈♫≈♥≈♪≈♫≈

  • They say Conway Twitty was the best friend a song ever had,I say your damn right.

  • this was one of if not his final number one song. such raw emotion! blake shelton does a fair version of this but noone living can ever come close to the greatness of this legend!

  • It just doesn't get any better than this.

  • ramey58 thanks for sharing this with me. Loved it, one of my favorite singers miss his great music!

  • Thanks Mark. I really like Conway's singing. I haven't heard this one. I need to do one of his songs soon. 5 *****, Sherrill

  • Nice Song. I never heard this one before.

    Thanks. Mark

  • I like this Phil, but have never heard it before, He put a lot of passion into this one,

  • As you know, Mark, Conway is my idol....never heard this before...thankyou!

  • Thank you Mark for this link. I had never heard this song by Conway. He's a terrific artist. Listening to this reminds me of two other songs of his "Hello Darlin'" and "Fifteen Years Ago", both of which are so emotional about feeling sad over a love lost. Remembering just the good times is the main thing. I do miss Conway. Thank you for posting - Paula

  • This was on the award show when he received the "Living Legend" award. He was called out for this encore and didn't have time to redo his bow tie. (How do you knot those things, anyway?)

  • Powerful performance! Thanks for sharing, Mark.

  • Wow Wow Wow. One of the most moving performances I have ever seen.

  • The best voice that country music has ever had.....fantastic!!

  • He was the best is the best and always will be iI love this song its so powerful tks for posting

  • Thank you...I love him so much. I will never forget him.

  • i just love this song. brings back some old memories. makes one wonder where time goes. seems like yesterday just being a teenager learning what love was for the first time. now 25 years later. watching my kids fall in love for their first time. god bless.

    your hero mj .

  • another great song by the great conway twitty god he sure knew

how to sing rest in peace our dear conway love always your fan

    - barbara .

  • Can you ever remember seeing anyone who threw so much into a song as he did.

  • From someone from a younger generation, and not completely country, I have one word: OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i agree....

  • i love this song it has sooo much meaning to it

  • I bet women were throwing their panties up on the stage........ Talk about putting your heart into a song????????? Do it Conway!!!!!!!!!!

  • holy shit heart, soul, nuts and guts that man brought it all and left the stage spent

he truly is the man i seen him once when i was young at the houston rodeo fukk he is still my favorite after all these years

  • best song he has

  • They called Conway "the best friend a song ever had" and I certainly can see why - he put his heart and his soul into every song he every sang and always gave the audience his best!!!!

This song is incredibly hard to sing - one way you can tell is that there are very few covers of it here on youtube..... When most people do try to cover it they realize how hard it is and that it is best to leave it to Conway!!!

  • iam sorry to say this but conway was the best and still is the best country singer nashville ever saw and did not get the credit he deserved typical nashville

  • Never apologize for Conway.

  • @ramey58

    You're welcome!

  • Simply great. The best voice country music has ever seen, in my opinion.

  • no dout why they call him the golden voice

and know one puts everything they have to it,you can actually feel the power

    miss you conway

  • What heart and what passion! As only Conway can do it. You don't just hear the song, youb feel the lyrics. Blake did a nice cover and video in honor of Conway, not to try and out do him. I believe Conway is in Heaven leading Gods choir at Gods request. He is so dearly loved and so dearly missed. Thank you for the love Conway :=)

  • True Thanks

  • Conway OWNS the stage!!!

  • I Sent This 2 My Wife Of 8 yrs She Left Me 4 days ago ...she said crying n your beer music ....and she called 2 day and ask if i am mad and when did i get upset with her ... becase i am not takeing her calls

  • It pissed me off when Blake Shelton tried to cover this....he doesn't even come close to delivering it like Conway...

  • Some things just were done right the first time. No sculptor would attempt to recreate Michelangelo's David, no painter would dare try to repaint DaVinci's Mona Lisa and a singer should have the good sense to know when not to cover a song because the audience can only take it one of two ways - as a heartfelt (but not as good) tribute to the original artist or as a butchered mockery of the original artist's work. Most cover artists don't succeed. Sorry Blake, shoulda left this one to Conway.

  • This may be the greatest country song ever.

  • still think he has the sexiest voice to date. LOVE him!

  • Long live Conway...

  • So much is lost on today's Country music. This is a perfect example! We miss you Conway!!!!!!

  • Such a wonderful voice we miss you Conway
