  • I still love this band. The memories this song/band brings back to me. I thought they sounded good, IMO. This was the last time they were all on stage together for 18 years. Great song. Thanks for posting.

  • GREAT SONG OF ALL THE TIME! MY SONG OF THE HEART!!!!!!! I LOVE YOU SIMONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Não foi a melhor apresentação...

  • In responce to some who said this perfomance was bad. I have the Live Aid DVD's and many of the performances were bad sounding. Black Sabbath was pretty bad, Led Zeppelin( which was later cut from the DVD) was terrible. However other bands like Simple Minds sounded great.

  • Arcadia and Power Station on the same stage!!

  • coke binges/boozing+management wrangles+hectic touring schedules/publicity bollocks+side projects+escalating petty squabbles+constantly being in the public eye= DISASTER !!

  • cocaine up baby!!

  • he,s shit live

  • la señal que hace al principio apuntando al microfono, ¿es para que bajen el volumen de el?....

  • Definately something wrong with the sound mixing on this one. The keyboards aren't as loud as they should be, and the bass is way off.

  • omg

  • I think we should remember the band was not at their best inter-personally, that combined with linguistics mentioned below could cause any group to have an off night. But, despite all of that, I believe they were well received and performed well under the extreme circumstances. If you watch "The Reflex" from Live Aid Andy wanted nothing to do with Simon on his side of the stage. I noticed that and I had no clue while I was watching the concert way back when.

  • Great performance! I love it!! "Cat on a dustbin"????? I don't think so.

  • He was never a strong vocalist live but this one go's to the sound engineer. You can see him point to the monitor in the beginning of the song, he can't hear himself and big shows like Live Aid were a nightmare foe most bands. They were lucky to get a line check, Never mine a full sound check. Other songs in the set have feedback all over.

  • i am english but i will say this ! that man cannot sing live he sounds like a cat on top of a dustbin !! lol

  • @sweetassugar69 Really not at all - this is what he always sounded like. Not the best singer in the world and nasal at higher pitches, but in fact this performance, he is pretty consistent with the studio recording, sound balance aside (which was bad for many at Live Aid).

  • @colino72 Yup, I agree

  • really? So what? do you think I just "appeared'? No reference of past experience? Oh, I get it,....you have a mental problem, huh? They have medication for you "types".I suggest you get yours,b/c you make no sense.......sad actually.Hope it works out for ya...

  • Well,....you have yer opinion & I mine....

  • This song & that year bring back so many great memories.......the 80's was such a great time to be coming of age.......

  • one of the best songs in history

  • te amo simon ,como puede existir hombre tam bello en el mundo

  • very sexy song....

  • i really like this version of Save a Prayer... this was their better performance compared to the other ones that night... i still liked the other performances that night, but this one was the best one... xD

  • From the age of 15 yrs old till 38 which I am now. I am still in love with Duran Duran since the first day I saw them live in concert..I hope one day to meet them then all my dreams would come true

  • brings back great memories of live aid i couldnt wait to see them. they are the best. i love simon

  • Not their best performance probably?

  • This is only marginally better than their disastrous version of "View to a kill" at the same show. I don't think Simon can hear himself though. He signals to the roadies for more volume in his mic monitor pretty early on.

  • Oh is that what he's doing, i assumed he was asking for a drink or something as he sounds kinda out of breath at times.

  • The sound mix at Live Aid was notoriously disastrous. There were no sound checks and so many bands playing that all mixing had to be done on the fly. Unfortunately it yielded some horrific performances such as Elton John and Led Zeppelin. However, Duran Duran hadn't played together in over a year and that only made matters worse.

  • i love simon le bon!

  • my favorite duran duran song, thanks for the upload. randy suesakul

  • I'm loving the Jupiter-8 used by Rhodes. Very good synthesizer.

  • I do admire Nick Rhodes a lot. He makes great sounds for the band.

  • me too...he's the songwriter for the group. Great keyboard sound.

  • I LOVE this one!

  • I remember watching this when Live Aid aired. I thought these guys were Gods. I still do! I need to grow up, I guess.

  • One of my all-time favorite versions of this song. Beautiful!
