Though I still kind of get annoyed at the overuse of filters/effects, this is incredible, and I wish I was that good. The ending with the cuts of Benoit winning, and his the shots of his house from the news footage, is seriously one of the most poignant things I've seen...
I totally respect Chris Benoit for what he did for wrestling, but the crime he committed cannot be forgiven ever. Benoit was the one of the best technical wrestlers together with Angle, Michaels & Bret Hart.
I think it is disgusting how you are glorifying a fucking MURDERER. I'm sorry, but New Jack was right when he said that when he did the shit that he did he lost all his fucking good points. Stopping putting this monster over. I don't care how fucking good you are, IF YOU MURDER A CHILD YOU ARE FOREVER DOG SHIT. Why don't we glorify Hitler for the good things he did for Germany during his tenure as it's leader? Hm? Because he MURDERED 6 MILLION JEWS. Fuck Benoit and people who support him.
This video in no way glorifies Chris Benoit. The title of the song is "No Bravery" as is the title of the video which to me isn't very glorifying at all.
his body of work is still among the very best ever done by a man and always will be. he will be remembered as a monster, and rightfully so. but his work will always be unmatched.
This is the most epic, emotional, touching MV in all youtube history,,,Th3rd,good joob in this one...seriusly,the first time when i saw...i cried...maybe Benoit it was too bad and he want to kill his family and he to be in heaven (yeah,is a excuse...but,think it about it...)...my uncle suicide a year and a half ago because he was so sick of his life...think it...
@titos814 The way i look at it he had the brain of an 85 year old Alzheimer patient because of sustaining many concussions and never got treated for any of them. He was also on steroids, he must have had a blind rage and that's how it went down because if you mix his brain with steriods you get a man who doesnt know who he is or what he is doing in a blind rage. His fate is a sad story. The WWE should induct him AND his family into the hall of fame.
@3LD1ABLO I agree with you except for one thing: Inducting a proven murderer would be not only a PR disaster, but who in their right mind would want to be inducted into the hall of fame in the same year as Chris Benoit? I can even imagine some people who would ask to be taken out of the HoF if that were to happen... don't get me wrong, Chris Benoit was a great wrestler, but his last hours completely overshadowed it. There is nothing redeemable about this tragedy and that is all there is to it.
they need to make it a dvd it sucks just coz they 'THINK' he killed his family they still should make a dvd theyd make millions off of it and the fact mcmahon is a douche anyway he totally should. i would totally buy it
@jesustramp1 nobody "THINKS" Benoit killed his family... we KNOW he did. That is a proven fact. And as for the DVD, to promote a murderer is a kiss of death for any company's PR department, who in their right mind would do that? Yes, Benoit was a great wrestler, so what? His last hours overshadowed all of that, there's no arguing about it.
@Nelogenazea its not even that its the fact they would make billions and macmahon is more about the money so he totally should and this video is so amazing im not starting an argument i LOVE this video thanks for making it my friend showed me it and i had tears its so good i just wish they had a dvd and didnt just delete him from existence from previous dvds coz he was such a great wrestler
@jesustramp1 Your first sentence sorta contradicts itself, but either way, Chris Benoit might have been a great wrestler. But to the general populace, those largely unfamiliar with wrestling and even those fans that do, Chris Benoit is only one thing: A murderer. And that won't change.
I mean, how would you like it if, say, Tom Cruise would take the lives of his wife and daughter because of his space religion? Nobody would praise him for his movies anymore, so why is Benoit special?
@Nelogenazea If Tom Cruise did that, he would be vilified in the media like Benoit does, and rightfully so. But every article about it would include the fact that he's one of the best actors of our generation. You can say someone is a horrible person and still recognize their talent.
How this only accumulated 10,000 views in the past year is insane. This was an incredibly unique take on a tribute video and you implemented the whole "darkness" of it brilliantly.
Seriously, an excellent bit of film-making. Definitely one of the most emotional "tributes" I have ever seen
So, if anyone here had the opportunity to, would they ask Benoit why he did what he did? I know I most certainly would just so I could finally have a chance of comprehending why and feel like I had some sort of closure. I still love his in-ring performances but I know what he did was completely reprehensible and it leaves you with this feeling of sadness, shock, anger and confusion and this video sums that up perfectly. The feeling of your own personal hero actually being the villian.
This is easily one of the best WWE MV's I have ever seen. The lyrics matched well with Benoit, incredible editing, very tragic indeed. This is amazing work.
i remember that this happened around the time i learned that pro wrestling was staged, and i thought this was a publicity stunt, then i saw this on the news, thought is was a joke, then changed the channel. now i feel remorse for not believing it, all these years later. a great loss
I miss the guy, shoot me. It just isn't right. None of us will know what really happened but lets all admit Benoit didn't have it upstairs and didn't know what to do...I read online that he googled stuff about the bible and bringing up a dead son (Meaning he would want to meet Daniel in the after-life) and things to that nature. Pretty disturbing read but he wasn't right
my only thought while watching this was the same question I had the day I found out about the murder/suiside aspect of Benoits death "Why did you do it Benoit WHY DAMMIT?"
Everytime I watch this video I get chills. It honestly pains me to know that someone that amazing at what he did will never be able to get named in the hall of legends after all he gave to the business that he loved...ugh...goddamnit
Hard to watch. What happened was a true tragedy, considering the circumstances. Very well made video, but very hard to watch if you were a fan of his.
He crops the logos out. What you basically do is in Sony Vegas (I don't know how you would do this in any other program) you would click the square that is on the clip. That brings up a screen where you can just zoom in (Also called cropping) the video so that the logo is no longer visible.
Also, if you wish to get better at making videos why not join the site? It's free and you get to meet a bunch of people that are more than willing to help you get better at editing.
Its a shame that a legendary career has been forever sullied by an unspeakable act. Chris gave everything for wrestling and it ultimately cost him his life and those of his wife and child. I wonder what could've been if he'd have just gotten out of the business.
@TheShootTruth10 Once again. I'm having to explain: I do not condone someone killing anybody else. You can keep saying that I do over and over again like an idiot. But I don't. End of story. If you're going off of what makes sense to you then actual facts that have been presented. We're done talking. Benoit was a cowardous bastard for what he did. However, I believe he was not in his right mind when he made the choices he made.
@TheShootTruth10 I hope you understand you're saying that the evidence the scientists have is fake? It's the same people who have been studying players in the NFL for years. You're saying they're wrong while the physical evidence is there. There were also trace amount of steroids, deemed not enough to make him roid rage. There was a lot going for him at that time in the WWE. So why would he randomly do what he did? Once again read before you speak.
benoit wanted to be big himself and was always inferrior little man. I cannot believe people still like this murderer. he is a murderer no matter how you look at it.
I truly wish things had turned out differently for Benoit, I truly do. However, even with the dementia/brain damage he was suffering from, he was still the one who killed his wife and child, and it's perfectly understandable that he has effectively been "erased" from wrestling history. It's a true pity though; moments as genuine as the Eddie Guerrero/Chris Benoit bro-hug at Wrestlemania 20 will never be appreciated again due to the events that followed.
I remember wearing the Benoit shirt I had the day after I found out he died and being proud to be a fan of his. And 2 days later hearing the real story and feeling so ashamed that I wore that shirt. I still have his dvd. I want to get rid of it, but I can't.
He was possibly embarrassed of his son 'cause he supposedly had Fragile X Syndrome BTW. I forget to clarify that. Long story short people. I don't condone what he did. As you can tell by my Username I was a Benoit fan before this happened. Almost for every piece of evidence that protects Benoit, there is one thats incriminating. Read up on the situation as much as you can before casting judgement on the situation. I like this video because it perfectly fits how conflicted a true Benoit fan feels
@TheShootTruth10 Let me restate: ". . . I don't condone what he did. . . As you can tell by my Username I was a Benoit fan before this happened. . . You're a stupid troll because you had the time to read what I said, ask a question that pretty much ignores what you just read, and you're trying to get some sort of response from me. To answer your question: Nothing, you dumbass.
@TheWWEfanCB you condome a man murdering. he had had the mind of an 85 alzheimers patient? lol, funny. he called and talked to friends perfectly fine a week or so before he murdered his family. if he had alzheimers and the mind of an 85 year old man people would have noticed.
@TheWWEfanCB if he was not in his right mind he would not have had an idea of putting the bible there for a blessing or whatever. a person who is not in their right mind (insanity) doesnt know right from wrong or show any signs of regret.
It was said that maybe he was embarrassed of his son, and that maybe he couldn't handle it anymore. Even though all his friends have said he LOVED his kid. They said violence wasn't part of his nature. Although his wife had filed for a restraining order because she was threatened by Benoit but she later dropped it. So there were signs of domestic violence. There was also rumor of financial problems in the Benoit house hold. But at the time, everything seemed ok to all the friends and family.
They don't know exactly what led to the damage in his brain. Might have been the headbutts, chair shots, or just getting dunked on his head too many times. Who knows? But it's said that they found TRACE amounts of Steroids and that it wasn't enough to cause "Roid Rage". He had the mind of an 85 year old with Alzheimers. Not to mention he showed signs of regret by putting a bible by both his kid and his wife. I don't think Benoit was in his right mind when he did what he did.
@lohee0303456 You're not the only fool. Let us be fools together, or in this case, people who do not take the media at face value. Here's to Benoit! May he rest in peace, and may the truth one day finally come out, as this talk of him being a killer is just one big pile of media-fed BS!
@Juria316 I am almost certain that chris benoit killed his family but I do not blame him for it. Almost everything I heard about this was that chris went into some kind of steroid induced rage and killed his family then killed himself probably due to guilt. The person I blame is Vince McMahon. He was the one who fed these steroids to chris Benoit just like he fed them into Lance cade another wrestler but not as famous who died in his 30s either from health problems or from suicide due to roids
@TheAlien21755 Vince McMahon did not "feed" Benoit the steroids, Benoit got them from a doctor outside of the Wrestling industry, McMahon only ever dealt with steroids during the 80's and the Early 90's, and even then he only took them himself, did not distribute them out, the person to blame is Benoit for taking them, on another note, Vince IS guilty of at one point getting stoned out his mind on coke and then attempting to rape a female refferee and partly for the Owen incident.
2) Remember Chris for the things he did in the ring, not outside it.
3) Doctors say you couldnt blame benoit because the dementia he suffered from, due to years of Chair Shots to the head caused him to have the brain of an old man (No excuse for killing wife and kids yes I know)
4) Id like to believe that Deamonds went into Chris Benoit's house that weekend and Deamonds killed Chris & his family
5) I blame myself for ever cheering for a chair shot to the head
First of all, steroids don't cause roid rage, that's a lie, second they never mentioned the different foot prints that were found around the back of the house, different shoe size compared to Benoit on that fateful weekend, I smell Conspiracy....
Beautiful. Benoit was my favorite wrestler at the time and his death was a total shock. This video made me feel all those emotions again. Looking back at his matches, his title reign, his moves. Man...
when Wrestlers can't physically continue they gotta know when to stop. This is something I pray never happens again especially when I loved this man and respected him so much. Its hard for me to hate him because I still believe there's an excuse of why he made a mistake like this
I miss Chris Benoit and I also miss Eddie. Its a shame that there both gone, pro wrestling would of been different with both of them alive. Thanks for the memories R.I.P <3
wow this is an amazing video, i loved benoit in the ring he fought with such passion i won't go into the theory on why what he did what he did i believing what i believe in all i can say is Rip chris, may you have found peace
That's the best video about Benoit ever made.

@Thehardyboyz2000 someone who thought that killing one's family makes them a bit of an asshole.

Moving video. Would have been good if at the end you included the Vince speech about his name not being mentioned from now on.

@lohee0303456 You're not the only fool. Let us be fools together, or in this case, people who do not take the media at face value. Here's to Benoit! May he rest in peace, and may the truth one day finally come out, as this talk of him being a killer is just one big pile of media-fed BS!
Juria316 1 year ago
@Juria316 I am almost certain that chris benoit killed his family but I do not blame him for it. Almost everything I heard about this was that chris went into some kind of steroid induced rage and killed his family then killed himself probably due to guilt. The person I blame is Vince McMahon. He was the one who fed these steroids to chris Benoit just like he fed them into Lance cade another wrestler but not as famous who died in his 30s either from health problems or from suicide due to roids
TheAlien21755 11 months ago
@TheAlien21755 Vince McMahon did not "feed" Benoit the steroids, Benoit got them from a doctor outside of the Wrestling industry, McMahon only ever dealt with steroids during the 80's and the Early 90's, and even then he only took them himself, did not distribute them out, the person to blame is Benoit for taking them, on another note, Vince IS guilty of at one point getting stoned out his mind on coke and then attempting to rape a female refferee and partly for the Owen incident.

1) This video....AMAZINGLY DONE
2) Remember Chris for the things he did in the ring, not outside it.
3) Doctors say you couldnt blame benoit because the dementia he suffered from, due to years of Chair Shots to the head caused him to have the brain of an old man (No excuse for killing wife and kids yes I know)
4) Id like to believe that Deamonds went into Chris Benoit's house that weekend and Deamonds killed Chris & his family
5) I blame myself for ever cheering for a chair shot to the head
joe88john 1 year ago 2
First of all, steroids don't cause roid rage, that's a lie, second they never mentioned the different foot prints that were found around the back of the house, different shoe size compared to Benoit on that fateful weekend, I smell Conspiracy....

when Wrestlers can't physically continue they gotta know when to stop.
