This all stems from the Caps series. We had to play games 4 and 5 on back-to-back because of a Yanni concert in Pittsburgh. Ted Leonsis, the Caps owner, whined about it like he whined about everything else. Yanni issued a public statement and became something of a hero to Pens fans. There was a picture of him with that jersey. I think he wore it during the show.

Pittsburgh (and a lot of Penguin fans, especially on Pensblog) took Yanni's side on the matter, supported him with his concert -- the rest is history. It is pretty bizarre and random in a way that I find very funny. :D
