  • you don't want to agree with him about the rodents but he's got a point....

  • He plays with your mind. LOL

  • Il parle bien le français, il se débrouille. Je l'AIME <3

  • this movie is only good in beginning later suck balls

  • @Toni112007

Well, everyone is entitled to their opinion. However, In no way is that a fact, and there wouldn't be many people who would agree with you. The second and third acts are just as good if not better than the first, in my opinion.

  • hans and jules best quentin tarantino characters ever

  • I dont think it was about Jews for Landa it was about the hunt and doing his job, if his job literally was in fact exterminating rats he would probably do it with the same vigor...we need him to investigate Wall St.

  • Col. Hans Landa is the best Nazi movie charater that i ever seen. Congratulation to Qentin Tarantino creating this amaizing character and to Christoph Waltz for playing this role.

  • Definitely one of the best screen villains.

  • hans landa had that charming personality but deep down you know he's a ruthless evil man/ the way he acts is like an illusion till he reveals his true colors.

  • @Fobanicco evil? that's rather useless term to describe anything...

  • He should've played Johann Schmidt/Red Skull in Captain America.

  • @pete1210able For sure, this would improve WAY HIGH his career mwahahaha

  • Even though hans is a cold, ruthless, brutal, sadistic, and intelligent villain, He's still one of my favorite characters in this movie.

  • He played that role brilliantly, I would love to hang out with hans he's so funny :D

  • is is just me, or is this clip NOT in the movie....?

  • @franksiny its just you

  • @franksiny

    Just you..

  • he's so cunning, so evil and yet so charming ... i'd run for my precious life if i'd ever see him....

  • I want to marry Hans Landa... evil I know... but so smart that I can't resist

  • I can't believe he lost best villain to twilight.

  • @killerrey That's ok because Mr.Christoph Waltz received the Oscar and that my friend is better than any MTV movie award.

  • @killerrey let me guess, in the MTV awards? Those don't mean shit, because it's only preteen girls that do the voting for it.

  • @killerrey Excuse me what??!

  • I have never commented on anything worth noting...except the sometimes bad service at Clydes's of Georgetown and the Old Ebbitt Grill plus the useless program call COVERT AFFAIRS with Miss Piper...,,..that entire ensemble should be dumped in the Potomac.....but I digress...Mr. Waltz..if he does nothing else in his career should get the Congressional Medal of Honor for a performance that is nothing less than perfection. As Ben Kinglsley said in Lucky Slevin I would take my hat off if I had one on

  • I think Hans Landa could possibly be top on my most impressive movie characters list! Excelent acting by Christoph Waltz!

  • @0000kris0000

Mine is Hugo Stigltiz. Dude he is awesome and so cool !!!!!!!

  • i never saw him as a nazi, i saw him as a detective, a damn good detective.

  • @umbrellak56 i´m german und in the third rich you got two options: be a nazior be not a nazi. my grandfather was not a nazi und he´s got few bad years.... in those years you couldt´n decide much. go with there or go not.....

  • if he wasnt so funny guy his character would be so hateable

  • Gut.

  • Tarantino just got away with a jew joke as a commerical!

  • WATCH the POWERFUL VIDEO on You Tube titled...

" Hollywood Basterds by David Duke "

  • what a brilliant bit of dialogue, such an incredibly tense scene, typical tarantino

  • Like a boss!

  • Hans Landa is the most bad-ass bad guy in a movie ever. No contest.

  • Does anyone got the name of that tune? Can't find it in the OST :/

  • Did any one actually watch this film? yes it follows a group of us soldiers who were hunting for nazi scalps. and yes some of the nazis were portrayed in a very negative light... but if you think this was an "All germans were nazis and they were all evil"... i dont think you watched the movie at all. Yes it was exaggerated, but look at the german who let them kill him without giving up his men. noble. theres more exampls but i dont have enough words left to list them

  • @WitHump actualy yep i watched the movie and i wanted to watch it without prejudice- actualy its a movie like someone who does a film about a New York and never was there... thats how it looked liked to me... if you understand what i mean. Plus the factor what quentin always do if he do movies... bad copying... Well some call it Art i wont do. The only real good film he made was and some of the watchers didnt get the clue and geniusnes of that early work film too.

  • @derblicker ;) sorry film forgoten... Pulp fiction... and its not just because the f word is so oft in there.

  • @derblicker pulp fiction is arguably his best film. Inglourious Bastards was not a remake of the 70's movie. He included homages to it, but it was not a remake. And I understand your new york reference, but this movie was not suppose to be accurate. It was not suppose to be a realistic interpretation of events. He took a setting, exaggerated the enemy so the audience will root for the hero, and took artistic liberties. you can either accept that and maybe enjoy the film, or not and hate it

  • @WitHump mm well as Kill bill too i didnt get his art. I respect that some or many see his movies as art. But i dont see to much of it. Maybe the film is to surreal so anybody can follow its real deepness. I didnt like the end even much is in purpose exaggerated. I dont seen your example of german heroism. There is also no heroism in jews who kill all for heroism. It doesnt make them better than the nazis than.

  • @WitHump

Maybe there is no real deepness in Inglorious Bastards. Look at the propaganda film in the nazi cinema. So you can see Tarentino didnt realy concerned with the nazi past isseu.

Ive seen Inglorious basterts and afterwards the original Inglorious Bastards wich is R Rated.

I havent seen much in comment with the original.

Well maybe you dont like pulp fiction ok.. i say its his best movie..

  • Did any one actually watch this film? yes it follows a group of us soldiers who were hunting for nazi scalps. and yes some of the nazis were portrayed in a very negative light... but if you think this was an "All germans were nazis and they were all evil"... i dont think you watched the movie at all. Yes it was exaggerated, but look at the german who let them kill him without giving up his men. noble. theres more exampls but i dont have enough words to list them

  • oh how perfect? i swear this man was a god in the past life. What a gift he's got? my favorite actor for a reason! Love this movie, without him, I would only be watching it for Donny ;P lol

  • That's a Bingo!

  • BRad Pitt is a fucking Joke, garbage movie

  • @12Oc7ock Christoph is in it more than him. 5/5 movie.

  • der Film wir großen i didn't wie das Ende aber. Herzlichen Glückwunsch an die Macher dieses Films:)

  • This movie minus waltz is jewish propaganda bullshit

  • @majesticmaniac What the hell? how is this jewish propaganda?!?!

  • @redmatchbox...FAct : Not every nazi was evil, not every jew is a hero...in the movie, u c different..

  • @majesticmaniac That does not make it Jewish Frikkin Propaganda!??! It makes it a caricature of the actual situation.

Also- not every german was evil, but every Nazi that believed and acted on the crap Hitler and his buddies said about jews... they were most definitely evil.

This is NOT a movie made by jews to promote jews- ergo it's not Jewish propaganda. Seriously. You frustrate me man.

  • @redmatchbox....Calm down, its just my opinion...Dont get soo frustrated, its not good for your health...after all ur 109 yrs old...

  • @majesticmaniac hehe:P

  • @redmatchbox...BTW r u really...if u are, then i really cant argue with u...a mean u must have lived with the nazis...lol

  • @redmatchbox nah, 19, way too passionate about everything. That's why I get so worked up.. teen spirit.

  • 22 cunts got Beat to death by bear jews bat

  • the german actors totally stole this film, Til was great as stiglits

  • @munit299 mm somehow he got killed in the movie and he was in the movie maybe... mm 10min oder 15...

  • @munit299 and Fassbender was amazing

  • @munit299 the englishmen and the gostapo officer were brilliant

  • @munit299 Christopher Waltz is Austrian.

  • @Gunzher With a german citizenship. Also he has been acting much more in Germany then in Austria.

  • @d4rkneo He was born in Wien. What your saying is like saying Beethoven is Austrian, because he studied and worked in Wien more then Germany. Just let us Austrians have this we need a star besides Arnold or Bruno, cause neither of them are setting good examples right now.

  • @Gunzher Well I consider Hitler a super star, so you guys have him too.

  • @661Sunshine Ok so heres the deal will will trade one Hitler and one Arnold Schwarzenegger for us to keep Waltz. Good Deal?

  • @Gunzher Good deal

  • yeah Cristoph Waltz did an amazing job with this character.

  • Even though Hans Landa is completely despicable.... he's somehow eerily handsome and charming. I must be nuts!

  • @Duma39 You are not the only one.

  • You are

  • @Duma39

like Oliver Kahn (famous german Goalkeeper) said:

    "Eier! Wir brauchen Eier!!"

    :D

  • @Duma39 I know. I love him. <3.

  • @Duma39 nah he is. And I'm a Jew... that's just his character....

  • @Duma39 Haha! I COMPLETELY fancy him too!! Fancied him in Water For Elephants too - he's pretty vile in that buuut it's the eyes and the mouth movements that get me!

  • @millyvp You know I haven't seen Water for Elephants yet :-( Sad to say Alot of actors that play the bad guy seem to really be super nice guys in real life. Judging from what I've seen of him in interviews, he seems to fall into that category.

  • @Duma39 >_> I felt weird that I was infatuated with not only a Nazi but a man who is in his 50s xDDD But yes, Hans Landa was a dreamboat in a very creepy way

  • @Egirl01 you horny bitch

  • Wow, this would almost be real if they were hunting and killing palistinians. I'm sure those weinstein boys will make that as a sequal, right?

  • Christoph Waltz is a fucking GENIUS.

  • oh look its richtofen

  • oh god Hans Landa is so fucking awesome. evil and hilarious at the same time

  • ..and people think this movie should show a different view of WW2...oô NO of course not, the movie does not show how unbelievable disturbing and sad the war was, it does not show the REAL facts... it just shows: Americans vs. Nazis. Revenge and Hans Landa.and THAT makes this movie so fucking awesome. If you want to see a ww2 movie about real facts, watch Schindlers list or something..

  • @WelcomeToLillysMind the film shows a world the americans wanted to end the war...

maybe i got not enough humor for this... but as i said before too much prejudices about germans or germany.

And yes its no real War film shure. But maybe some facts should worked well.

  • @WelcomeToLillysMind mm yep or Letter from Irojima..Red line or whatever... but that wasnt my point...

  • wait, is this from the extended version of the movie, cause im pretty sure i never saw it before

  • this film was so worse. No clue overrated violence cliches. Only good thing was the acting of hans Landas Role... Everything else was sick shit

  • @derblicker Yea man! It's almost as bad as your english

  • @sairoku i dont think so.. were are you from england:)

Whats your problem im German and i had no problems with my englisch in London and other parts of the World...

  • @derblicker Nah man I'm not from England. I'm just teasing :)

I really liked Christopher Waltz's role, it was spot on. I mean overall the movie isn't bad, its not meant to be taken too seriously. There are shittier movies, I mean WAYYYY shittier ones from 2009, if you get what i mean :)

  • @sairoku i can deal with it. But i would say there are better ones out there and with the overrated hollywood hype the film worked well in Europe and in Germany. The biggest problem is the 3/4 hour of the film they only speak french. My french isnt so good. no subtitles! Some parts of the film were realy good. The basement for example...

  • @derblicker ...... what?

  • @destinyxover right what...

my point of view as a german : i didnt like the film because it just showed a massively exaggerated and needless violent and i dont understand how those german acters just doin this film becaue of quentin, i dont see any morality in this film... Not every simple soldier was a 100percent SS fanatic... the film works with cut and dried opinions... its just a movie and no i dindt liked kill bill as well.

  • @derblicker

But some were. I do agree that German soldiers were stereotyped, but, many in the SS were like this, so at least it does show that part of it. This is coming from a Jew by the way.

  • @Astrowater dont get me wrong im no neonazi im punk so im more left than you think.

my grandpa was a german soldier by the Anti Air and he wasnt ss at all. Im no pro nazi but the problem is in here. England sees germans till today as nazis because of those stereotyped films got it?

And some parts of the States got the same problem.

As i remember right most of those Oversoldier mythologie garbage comes from U.S. game developers right?

better film choise is mein Führer as example

  • @derblicker

I did not really think you were. I respect your grandfather, and I am sure he fought nobly. He was not really fighting for Germany, as Hitler did not really care about Germany, but I am sure he was a good man. I do agree that many people see Germans as Nazis, and that is wrong, because many fought, nobly, just like your grandfather in battle. I am not sure I know what you mean about Oversoldier. You can write in German, I can understand a little.

I have never heard of that movie.

  • @Astrowater thanks for those words. ich sprach von Spieleentwickler meist aus USA oder Russland die von Übersoldat Mythen überzogene Shooter produzieren. Also kein Film sondern shooter spiele...

  • @derblicker

I understand your point, but, business is business for many companies, and killing Nazis sells well. Which view? That Germans saw themselves as super-beings, or that Americans and Russians portray them to believe this. I am not sure I understand. I do not think it is only video games, but really, how people are not educated about the difference between the SS and Wehrmacht. Most people see them as the same.

    Kein problem.

  • @Astrowater true, i rather view movies like shindlers list or "mein Führer" because these were well researched and. Lookin at the german persiflage, i laughed my balls off without the fact of killing nazis.

Or when i look at movies like benignis "La vita è bella" its sad but its brilliant, with higher morality. did you knew that inglorious bastarts was a remake? all those films got something in common. Bad translated german language. Im cool with its succes but i didnt have to like it.

  • @derblicker

I did know that. I thought the German was accurate when I saw it. No one is forcing you to like the movie, but you must understand that German is not easy for foreigners, but I think they should have got a German to make the lines with German for the other actors. Christoph comes from Austria, so maybe his German is a little different. I have never heard of the word "persiflage" what does it mean?

  • @Astrowater persiflage is from the french it means make jokes about something like hitler with higher atitude and superlativ slapstic. And yes i dont have to watch I.B. yep but i like cinema so i watched it in case christoph Waltz acts in it:) There is the scene in the basement bar, when the british bastert orders 3 scotch with the wrong fingers wich is true.

1 german soldier got Genghis kahn on his letter. or brigitte writes herself as bridged wich also is wrong if shes a german Filmstar

  • @derblicker and if tarentino wanted to have french acters take the french part germans german part etc.

Why didnt he asked those if its well translated:)

What i realy ment was the fact if a british or an acter from the states can imitate something wich is a bit like german he gets his role... or am i so wrong with this notice:)

  • @derblicker

I think they were not provided with the proper lines, or is their pronunciation off, but the words correct? I am not sure entirely what is wrong.

  • @derblicker to give myself a correction:) acter ist actor sorry...

  • @derblicker and i have to review the other version the non europe version maybe its better who knows

  • @Astrowater

"That Germans saw themselves as super-beings,"

    This is anti-german war-propganda.

  • @Ariovist12

It is a half true statement. Some did, some did not. If they were to say "Some Germans saw themselves as super-beings", it would have less effect, but I do agree with you that it is propaganda.

  • @derblicker what... ?! No- england, nor any other nation, sees modern-day germany as Nazi's. Where are you guys getting your ideas from?!

Honestly- don't you guys see that stereotyping and exaggerating is the best possible way to deal with things? So long as you acknowledge that terrible things happened, but that the germans nowadays aren't nazis, there is NO HARM whatsoever in making fun of the situation. I do not get your guys' problem!!

  • @redmatchbox mm well most of the time ive seen such Hollywood productions im pretty shure some people still think today all germans are evil and stuff. The movie is... yes its just a movie... but it shows pretty clear, ways the U.S. Americans still handle the some facts they heard about germany and work out some cheap jokes about it and most of the time they choose Nazigermany

It is the way somebody make fun off such a topic. some social satire is brilliant some not..

  • @derblicker in this case we are just not going to agree- I think ridiculing horrendous facts is probably a pretty good way to deal with it. And you know what- if you are going to joke about germany, than it' s probably not a bad idea to pick the Nazi-era as opposed to current day germany.

Modern day germans aren't Nazis, and most of them aren't going to be offended if any one makes fun of Nazis, I think they'd rather enjoy it.

I also don't think that U.S Americans really still view Germany

  • Respond to this video...as Nazi-germany, Americans are not that stupid, right? But you know what, I can't really say anything about that- as I'm Dutch. All I can say is that making fun of Nazis is not going to offend anyone here, nor is it going to make people forget about the horrors of that regime and the war.

  • @redmatchbox ok your dutch im german... I can tell i enjoy well done persiflages and no i didnt forgot about the horror regime it was and all the countrys ands lives they took. I Respekt the the historical aspect.

In this film here... and its a remake of the 70s. Tartentino didnt respect anything. Not the Nazis not the Jews no nothing. Well its humor yes.. but its no Art at all to make simple jokes about times and places he never ever was. Main time of the film is French without german sub lol

  • @derblicker making violence aesthetic and caricaturing humans is what tarantino does. Where did you ever get the idea that there was supposed to be any morality in it?

Also - you can count on the fact that the "opinions" you talk about are NOT ACTUAL OPINIONS. No-one in their right mind thinks that all germans were or are evil. No one does. But you know what; exaggerating, ridiculing and twisting the actual facts, makes for one hell of a movie. It's dark and it's twisted HUMOR!

  • @redmatchbox mm? Tarentino does Art out of Violence:)

Dont get me wrong but hes like a kid in holywood who watched too much videos in his

the movies i like dont have to be A violent and B even there are some well done Art movies with violence in it.

Example Hero... mostly no blood but well done material Art. Zatoishi Brilliant! much blood but fine Pics.

Kill Bill was for example a wannabe Material Art film and it was pretty violent and i wouldnt rewatch it.

If its art... ok for some maybe...

  • @derblicker childhood..

  • @derblicker That would be pretty accurate, yes- he is one of those filmmakers that can make films, because he saw so many of them. But he's a damn good filmmaker because of it, so I don't think that should be considered a bad thing

And I'm not saying a good movie has to has violence in it, but in tarantinos case violence is stylistic thing, that takes the movie to another level. If you watch kill bill, really watch it, you'll see that everything is highly stylized (and too me really aesthetic).

  • @redmatchbox we will never agree i guess... you love tarentino which i respect. If i saw all the cult movies of him.. i didnt see much art in it. Yes dialogues are interesting aspects of Tarentinos film estetic language.

But in Kill Bill he wanted to pay Respect to Material Art. I hated him for doin this.. The only good scene of part 1 was the end fight. Part 2 sorry i snozzed it. Watch a real Asian Material art movie and Kill bill after that and you will see so much worse differences....

  • @redmatchbox :) ive seen also a lot of movies.. am i a good film maker now?

Well i would never say i would be...

wich level or Atitude does tarentino put that? He never went to film scool... Hes also dyslexic maybe hes intelliegent... maybe hes into violence because of that and the fact he watched Grinthouse. Resivour Dog was just kill people... i didnt get the story i didnt get the dialogues and the brilliance simple spoken.. i dont see the cult aspect in tarentinos work.

  • @derblicker I'm not going to convince you otherwise. It's a shame you don't like hs films- you're missing out.

I would like to hear your favorite filmmaker, then I'm out!

Lots of love from one film fan too another

  • @redmatchbox i see a lot of films from different genres.. I dont think im missing out... for the thing i dont like Tarentinos work ive seen most of them. Hes goin to remake a western now

I didnt wanted to snub you i already did i guess.

i can tell you wich my favorite actor is.For a director ive seen to much films wich influenced me i think. Scorcese maybe Robert de niro as actor for shure... i love material art films french films a lot englisch films. Anime wich is art too in my eyes.

  • @derblicker but just to be clear- I do not like Tarantino movies because of the violence, I like it because of the amazing dialogue, twisted humor and thousands upon thousands of references. But I enjoy the way he overdoes everything, and I truly think the violence, the blood splatters and the flying limbs DO serve a purpose.

I never said you had to like it. I just said that it is not as flat as people seem to think it is.

  • Colonel Landa was a sick twisted monster.

But my, he's charming at the same time!

One of my favorite bad guys ever.

  • No, I'm not any of those guys, & neither are you, thats y u shouldn't say shit about any one of them, because you don't possess even a fraction of the art that they do. So maybe you should take some screenplay writing lessons, learn how to use a camera and make a fucking movie. If its any good, then maybe, just maybe u can talk shit about other filmmakers, if not then yr the 1 with bigmouth, who talks shit...for no good reason.Get some toiletpaper dammit.Wipe yr mouth!!!

  • Stop whining kids, go back watching your cartoons.

    this is a real movie.

  • got milk?

  • Quentin you fish face fruit cup Finochio kissing up to the hollywood jews again LOL

  • Tarantino is said to back up The Good The Bad and The Ugly as his favorite movie. Just found that out the other day. I truly believe that this opening scene leans heavily on TGTBTU's classic second scene where Lee Van Cleef's Angel Eyes is introduced.

  • Worst Quentin Movie ever.Never seen such a crappy, sloppy, clueless plot ever(not atleast by Quentin).

What happened to Bradd Pit,in second half he is clearly doing mimicry of Godfather legend Marlon Brando.Only Christoph Waltz has given something to watch.

This garbage is nominated for 8 Oscar.I wonder, how overrated a movie can be?

This last line is 4 those psycho viewers who are enjoying the movie just because of Jew vs Nazi revenge based fiction-''Two loathsome evils do not make a right''

  • @shishirwoike

hahaha lighten up, its bout having fun and suspense.

  • @shishirwoike I bet you can't even begin a sentence to write a screenplay, let alone turn on a camera to shoot a movie as good as Quentin...If you can't, which i no u can't, SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!

  • @trilseka Somebody's is teaching about screenplay and all..huh! So who r u bigmouth?...think urself cameron?Spielberg?Nolan?Eastwood?who r u?Tarantino?Lolz.:-D

  • @shishirwoike Don't talk shit, Tarantino is an artist at work, and he's too busy and rich to give a fuck what you say, so stfu and eat a lambchop lol

  • @Fishstixj4l No, his movies suck ass and are of poor quality. They feel like being written by a 12 years old. Well, at least those he didn't fucking copy from other, real artists. Don't take it personal bro, but he sucks.

  • @Parkerkun Tell me what directors he's copied from.

  • @Parkerkun That's the whole point of his movies you ignorant turd. He just creates films based around his favourites ones from childhood. And his writing is Tarantino writing, 'nuff said

  • @Fishstixj4l This movie is filthy lousy work of a good artist..U lick this shit but i can't admire crap.

  • The best movie ever!

  • tarantino's masterpiece.....

  • I was SPELLBOUND from start to finish.......WHAT A MOVIE 10 out of 10.

    PERFECTION

  • @DustyMantelpiece perfect? it only shows that every german soldier was a nazi. hahahah, what an fucking wrong way. but ok its hollywood. every germans = nazi. when i see how they kill yvery young german soldiers, they are still boys, like they were Adolf eichmann in person...bah hurensöhne

  • @mathiehesse

Do you know the word ironic or sarcasm?

  • @DustyMantelpiece i mean people like hans landa and the whole organisation of the SS, Gestapo are biggest devils of the world and have to be killed, punshied what ever...but we have to distinguish between wehrmacht and the rest....

  • @DustyMantelpiece you must have very low standards of film making

  • Hans Landa makes this film. Hands Down

  • @cocobrown3001 I actually read in several places online/ in articles that Tarantino apparently would not have gone through with production of Inglorious Basterds if he didn't have Christoph Waltz as Landa. Makes a lot of sense.

  • @cocobrown3001

    AND melanie laurent, amazing woman

  • bin gespannt habe mir die DVD gekauft aber noch nicht geguckt

  • Hans Landa - Best supporting actor !

  • please wath is the song ???

  • Wath is the song?

  • 20 people don't know that "rat" is a compliment.

  • 20 Jew Rats disliked!

  • avesome move, lol at the ending there was allmost a mass suicide. LOL!!!

  • I really hate this film.

  • If you take the rat speech in comparison with the rest of the film, you realize that Hans is referring to himself in many ways.

He too is an unbiased survivor.

  • Waltz is a genius, and Landa, one of the most amazing characters of ever!

  • This is one movie where Waltz really shines, very talented actor and Tarantino is very lucky to have him in this film.

Also if you think there was too much talking in this movie, then you clearly don't like Tarantino movies.

  • @boahnico- It is the same in the english version, German/French parts have subtitles. Hans was an awesome character, definately my favorite villain to date!!

  • In the german version they speak the frech parts in frech, with subtitles.

Its sad that the american version seems to be completely in the english language. That takes away much of the charme i think...

  • without landa the film is boring

  • you spelled bastards right...

  • The jew played an awesome jew hating nazi.

  • Awesome movie!

  • this guy is fuckin awesome i was scared of him while watching the movie!

  • God its just a Movie .... Calm down ....

  • What is the piano music that plays at the start?
