I love this song, and Franz Ferdinand generally. Good old-fashioned rock'n'roll with a nice contemporary edge. He (Alex I assume, don't know for sure) is a great lyricist too, a lot of their songs are quite dark. As is the video. Thumbs up o7

this song was originally intended to be a duet between franz ferdinand and some chick singer, both trying to get micheal's attention at the same time, but plans fell through at the last minute and the girl could not appear on the recording, so FF decided to release a version where they sing both parts of the duet. true story. i am sure a demo tape exists somewhere with the girl on it.
