  • With Natural Gas pizza ovens the flames should burn predominantly clear blue without sooting, as should LPG pizza ovens. On LPG pizza ovens yellow tips with sooting on propane indicate too rich a combustion mixture and this should be adjusted with burners on full-flame power by turning the aeration screw in the burner until the flame burns pure blue without yellow and sooting. If you use butane cylinders at 28mbar pressure some yellow tips without sooting become present but this is normal.

  • Thank you for your comment! Unlike other gas burning appliances that rely on the flames direct contact with a cooking vessel, and where a yellow flame would result in sooting and carbon monoxide issues (think gas burners and pans on range tops), in a Wood Stone oven the flame does not come into direct contact with the surfaces you are heating or cooking, so we can achieve a clean cooking flame that is also aesthetically pleasing. We have posted additional info on our blog if you are interested.

  • I help build these things truley nice ovens from start to finish you can trust that

  • Natural and LPG fired ovens have a fast heat up time and with LPG you get a moist heat which ensures a really nice cooked pizza base and well cooked topping!
