What makes the Rambo cartoon intro friggin epic is the actual use of Jerry Goldsmiths score from the movies, something I have yet to have heard in any other animated series since.
haha the part where Daniel san is surfing on the torpedo fucking win they should make a ridiculous action movie with all those scenes throw reality right out the window
I couldn't blame anyone for forgetting star wars cartoon.
I think in latest 80's there was a star wars cartoon, other than Ewoks or Droids, it was include luke skywalker fight stormtroops, I saw it on Kuwait TV 2nd channel, But no body remember it, or wrote about it on internet!!
Wow - cartoon Clarence Boddiker @ 2:17. Sure they didn't do the whole torture-murder scene from the Robocop movie, but it's cool that they at least made the villain's that killed Murphy look the same as they did, and not just generic bad guys.
Rambo is al legend even in cartoons.....before Rambo movie everyone knows that knife like "military knife", after Rambo movie everyone calls it "Rambo Knife".
I remember a Cartoon that used to be on ITV or Childrens BBC around 4'ish that was foreign Sci Fi remenisent of Flash Gordon called 'The Golden Crown' it was Fuckin Awsome with a green Martian like evil queen character epic Space adventure like a 50's pulp SFcomics anyone else out there remember it let me know.
Honestly I only heard of Robocop & Police Academy, but the worst one I would have to say is the Star Wars Droid one. Who'd want to watch anything with just 3PO who along with Jar-Jar were the 2 most annoying characters in the whole saga
Chuck Norris and the Asian Cliche Commandos! Don't forget Chop Suey, the Chinese chef who can beat the hell outta baddies with chopsticks and constantly spouts corny Confucius fortune cookie dialogue! YEAH! And the wicked cool of Surf Ninjas from outer space!!
Gyuh. Rather watch that Karate Kid cartoon. It's cheesy, but in a good way. Love to see Miyagi beat Chuck Norris down. "HONK".
Wow, amazing how kid's movie adaptions of PG-13 to R-rated movies are so much better than the "kid freindly" watered-down shows cartoon network and (especially) 4Kids gives kids...
Things have changed since then.. Now everything is reversed. They are making movies about cartoons now.. Fat Albert, The Grinch, Narnia, Scooby Doo, I heard about a Smurf movie being made, Chipmonks, UnderDog, Rocky and Bullwinkle... And I know Spongebob has to be right around the corner!!
No, I wish thats what was said, it might make sense. He says, "From the canyons of skyscrapers to the canyons of remote mountain peaks." Maybe it was an 80's thing, street level being called a canyon. Oh well...
oh. don't blame yourself. it's not your fault. I just hope I wasn't too serious. by the way, there are five TV series of GB's, and four films, including the fan films of Hank Braxtan. do you know which one of them you like? if you don't know, you may want to see them, and try to decide.
In the 80's it was the violence in cartoons, in the 90's it was rude behavior and fart jokes, and in the 2000's we have cartoon characters talking suggestively and talking about promoting anorexia through diet talk. Oh how much I like anime and Disney so much better than this stuff!
Before 2000, movie studios knowingly marketed R-rated films to the under 17 demographic, so it shouldn't be surprising that R-rated films such as Rambo and Robocop were made into cartoons. Although, from my point of view, I saw Rambo when I was 10 and I didn't think it was especially violent, and looking at it now, it almost seems cartoonish; Temple of Doom and Red Dawn were far worse and only got PG-13
actually you kinda got that wrong, Temple of Doom was the CAUSE of the PG-13... That and Gremlins, they were never PG-13 due to Steven Spielberg's name on it.
Ah, yes...I remember that Temple of Doom was the cause of the PG-13, but I keep forgetting the fact that the film itself was never given this rating...Poltergeist, which also derived from Spielberg, was another PG film deserving of an R rating...
What makes the Rambo cartoon intro friggin epic is the actual use of Jerry Goldsmiths score from the movies, something I have yet to have heard in any other animated series since.
