@parisTDR250 I bought and downloaded it from Alphasim, but they don't exist anymore. Since you can no longer buy it, I don't think it can be considered piracy to download it for free.
You can check if there are any free versions of this plane on the web.
PS: This is the FS2004-version. The alphasim-plane included a FSX-version that I use now (because I use FSX, obviously).
@clementwu03 Yes, but they don't sell the Sr-71. As far as I remember, Virtavia isn't a new name for Alphasim, but more a "spin-off" company. Anyhow, Virtavia has just three planes, of which I've bought the quite nice B-1B.
@pielordish It isn't easy :). Just like the F-106, the SR-71 had a column in the middle of the window, which must have made them quite tiring when landing and taxiing i imagine :)
@yngvefoshaug I have the same aircraft, but sometimes the engines randomly turn of on me. I've noticed that it's usually when I'm climbing to fast, but I'm not sure. Do know what's causing this? I find this aircraft to be a little to challenging for me. I was wondering if maybe you could post a full flight with captions or something for us newbies.
why you Landed ! why you didnt fly to HIGH with very HIGH speed then back down vertically with that high speed and hit the ground and let see what can happen then hmm !
@tatercito I use TrackIR by Naturalpoint. It is a bit expensive, but if you like flight simulators, I can highly recommend it because I feel it's much easier to look around with it. It takes a few hours getting used to it, but when you do you'll never go back :)
@nandansho The SR-71 by Alphasim comes in both FS9 and FSX versions. When I bought it, I could download both versions, and as I upgraded to FSX, I could simply install the FSX version :)
Some addon planes are better than others. Also, I think you can increase the gauge update speed in the settings. I don't play fs2004 anymore, so I can't check it ;)
Yeah, very nice landing...I have the same model from alphasim, I absolutley love it. Those guys really know what they're doing when they make these planes. Did you use an IR head tracker? if so what model do you have? How do you move from side to side so quickly in the VC mode?
I bought it from Alphasim, a creator of aircraft for Flight Simulator. It was definitely worth the money, because it is so much better than any of the stock aircraft in the sim. Also, much better than any freeware aircraft I've ever tried. :)
do you have to pay to download.please can you tell me where you download it from???PLEASE REPLY.nice quality of image

@yngvefoshaug It's knows as Virtavia now. So basically Alphasim is in Virtavia.

BongleJongles 11 months ago
@BongleJongles My advice is to practice on the really long runways like on Edwards AFB or maybe Denver Intl. or Munich intl.
Also, make sure you don't have a full fuel tank when landing. It makes it much harder :)

how the hell do you see out of that thing
