  • I remember this was hot back in the day on Hot 97. Being a teenager in the 90s... In NY!!!! No words to describe it :) The best Hip Hip scene and era.. Ever!

  • radio version so sick. BOOM SHAKALAKA YO HERE COME THE CHIEF ROCKA THE LORD CHIEF ROCKA NUMBA ONE CHIEF ROCKA

  • BOOM SHAKA LAKA YO HERE COMES THE CHIEF ROCKA!

  • LOVE THE RADIO VERSION...VERY HARD TO FIND

  • WHEN RAP WAS RAP!

  • This was probably the best song in nba street volume 2.

  • actuallly heres the trick. i clicked to searchnabmp3..com to download thiss song as an mp3.

  • Is this Redman in the back at 3:48 ?!?

  • Lil Wayne does not compare. So called artists nowadays blow like Monica Lewinsky. They have NO STYLE!!!! Lords were down and true cause they chief rock!!! Break dancing was real even then. Has anyone seen this new stuff called "Jerkin" it sucks. Jerkin is generic break dancing for real. Kids now do not know what the hell to do anymore. Long live real hip hop cause that's where my hearts at !!!!!

  • i love 93-94 raps.because real rap.fuck 2000 raps.because not rap.HIP POP

  • check out for RedMan @ 3:47

  • this jam changed my life the first time I heard it...never felt energy from any one song....it's totally HIP....

  • this version is a classic

  • I see that I wasn't the only one who noticed the difference between the album version and the video version. Long live classic hip hop!

  • awesome! I was looking for this version. Thanks for posting this

  • Yeah, me too! The other versions didn't go " Boom skakalaka, here comes Chief Rocka"! That made the song, I didn't like the album version as much 'cause it lacked that!

  • This version was played more than the album cut.

  • this banger comes from an era where Hip Hop wuz UNMATCHED & UNTOUCHABLE compared 2 the BS the industry is puttin out now-wayne, gucci, plies, yo gotti-STR8 GARBAGE when put up against catz like the Lords, Rakim, EPMD, Ice Cube, RedMan, Onyx, Black Sheep, PharCyde, TCQuest, Nas, Common, Pac, Biggie, Snoop...need i go any further? these were TRU LYRICIST that brought style, creativity, & innovation 2 the genre that these yung catz 2day have reduced 2 jus RAP with no thought, no msg, no meaning...

  • i agree with everything you just said but you have to understand the rapper that have skillz will never get record deals today ,i believe the record labels just wants to make money ...........inaddition it's not only happening to rap music most of the r&B singer today have nothing on the old school artist

  • @dssmith71

one thing you left out after no meaning....no brains either...,that's what today's cats are lacking.

  • Nowadays rappers still arent at this level:

    POWERFULL filled with SOUL&BEAT&100% InspiRatION

  • I used to have all these guys cassette singles, damn...

  • CLASSIC !!!

  • All you kids have said it all for me! I've been lookin' for this version for a minute and comin' up with squa-dush!

  • Oh my gosh, I never thought I'd meet the same type of people that prefer this version over the messed up dirty version. True to the lyrics this song is about the only version preferred over dirty. Yes sir. The Break dancing came back in a big way after this came out back in 93'. Pharcyde, tribe called quest, souls of mischief, alchoholiks to name of few of that great time in hip/hop. Lords are definately down.

  • hi 5 joelese, i loveeeeeeeeeee this verson

  • I thought that I would never hear this again. A classic tune. I would love a music channel that only played Hip Hop from the Eighties up to 1998. After that Hip Hop died. R.I.P.

  • i could not agree more with your last statement...

  • This is the rare (and superior) "Boomshakalaka" version. Much harder to find. Good get.

  • Hey dude. I have the single to this song if you want it. It wasn't hart for me to find.

  • Yeah man, hit me off with a message and I'll send you my email. I love this version but only have it on cassette!

  • I remember this like yesterday.I was still breakin' before this video came out & people would say "Give it up that shit is never coming back" and when I seen this I screamed in complete joy because I threw right back in their face! If Crazy Legs & Kwikstep are dancin' then it's legit. Breakdancin' died...BBoyin never did.

  • ohhh I remember when i met the second guy that rhymes, i was with my cousins and we were downtown Newark NJ shopping and he was driving on broad st, he signed our autographs and everything, very nice guy!!! MEMORIES!!!!

  • I walk with the funk

    I talk with the funk

    I eat with the funk

    I sleep with the funk

    I live for the funk

    I die for the funk

Classic hip hop without a doubt

  • dammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm what happen to hip hop? Watching this video made my day:)

  • i want the version from nba street volume 2!!

  • Omg Luv this song~~~~!!! =)

  • BOOM SHAKALAKA CHIEF ROCKA!!

  • This is better than the album cut...no doubt.

  • man i want the dirty version of this

  • No you wouldn't.....I know you wouldn't...This is a better version than the dirty version.

  • no im mean the the dirty version of the radio cut

  • You wouldn't want the dirty version of the radio cut....I would forbid that....The dirty version made this single worse. If you put the radio cut on the radio, it would be the most listened to.

  • I agree. The dirty version blows. They should have had both on the album.

  • The clean versions are the real mccoy in hip hop...dirty version make hip hop a bad name.

That's why I play the clean versions because I respect hip hop to the fullest.

  • Whatever you say dude. This is just one of the times where I think edited outweighs unadulterated because it sounds like it belongs there

  • Too true. The dirty version fucks up the hook and I hate that. This is probably the only song that I prefer clean over dirty.

  • Only if old if old school hip-hop was back again.....

  • This track is dope.

  • It almost is like hes saying cheif cracka lol

  • Haha yeah, almost.

  • yeah it is

  • I love this joint!!!!

  • Damn. You know a song is still good when you rewind it a few times.

  • In 1992/1993 I was in college in Virginia. This song would play non-stop out of cars, the college dorm rooms. Damn they don't make tracks like this no more.

  • I'm 13, and i listen to hip hop like this. hip hop is billshit nowadays.

  • I think what wayhep means is that people dont keep it real anymore when they rap. It always about guns, girls, and drugs. There not keeping the artform alive

  • Rap back then would make you say What the hell are we listening to now! This ish they comig out with now is a bunch garbage!!!
