  • There is an eight minute version of this that has so much more.... it used to be on youtube but then it got taken down for some reason. vevo gives us three minutes... go figure.

  • Com certeza ninguém toca melhor do que Jimi Hendrix

  • so right the vivid of a dull world

  • brought a tear to my eye :)

  • nice job, music sounds great

  • I want the 11' version track

  • Vevo sucks but this is the greatest quality video of Jimi in YouTube.

  • Why in the HELL would you CUT this song???!!?? They spliced out all the best guitar work!!!! Clueless wipes...

  • Why am I only 15? Fuck.

  • BobDylanVEVO?

    JimiHendrixVEVO!?

    THE HELL MAN!!????

  • There's two other versions of this song form the Winterland shows. Each of which is better because Jimi does extended soloing and masterful improvisation. Maybe the audio quality isn't that good, and maybe that's why Sony and Experience hendrix LLC don't promote those other versions, but they blow this one out of the water. This version, by Hendrix standards blows chunks.

  • vevo negro

  • I downloaded the full version of this before those dickheads copyrighted it and took it off youtube, I tried to put it back on youtube but it got removed. I'd like to make it available for everyone but i don't know how so if anyone knows how i could do that that id like to know.

  • Jimi was/is/always will be a GREAT period!!! Its hard for me to purchase his music as his SO CALLED wannabe called family is profitting & I'm not donating a penny to the bitch. He was always getting ripped off one way or another in life & it still continues to this day. Jimi = infinity!!!

  • His songs were deep as you could ever go yes there are guitarist that can play more tight than jimi but his music is timeless and i wish i had 1/4 of the song writing ability that Jimi Hendrix had and yes i know Bob Dylan wrote this but thats not the point I'm making haha the point I'm making is there will never be another like Jimi Hendrix

  • FUCK VEVO!

  • So slow.. So intense.. So good..

Wait... is Jimi making love with my ears?!

  • Hey Experience LLC, we want Albert Hall Concert !!!

  • great job

  • I have a man-crush on Jimi Hendrix

  • Like Jimi Hendrix)

  • he is my idol :D he is soooooo good stfu w/ adverts

  • have to sit through an advert for now thats what i call 80, more like thats what i call bull shit !!

  • @marein242 hey man, it's worth it 4 a Hendrix vid!

  • 1 dislike doesn't that say something.

  • Jimi,Jimi,Jimi...........................

  • How could anybody not love this?

  • I want to hear the full version that was on the CD. Not the three minute cut down version. Jimi jamming is part of what he did best.

  • Wheres the intro from the winterland cd version?? its missing and its awesome !!!

  • this fucken fucken fucken fucken corporate shit is stupid!!! all his money went to the company! not a cent whent to his mother.

  • @OMGsuperTAG His mother died in '58. Jimi didn't die until '70. I understand hating corporations, but at least sound moderately intelligent.

  • @YeaFooFighters i mean his family

  • dylan braught the tracks. jimi braught the pimp train.... and yeah, this vid could use the winterland intro... good shit

  • dylan may have done what better??? is that a joke or what???

  • Vevo can eat a dick. They don't care about the music they care about the money.

  • 2:40 wow

  • There is part of this recording missing!!!!!

  • Like jimi..............

  • Comment removed

  • i love jimi's music, but i think dylan may have done it better

  • FOREVER..WE LOVE YOU..R.I.P.

  • Vevo -_-

  • THE VERSION WITH THE GREAT GUITAR INTRO PRIOR TO VOCALS RECORDED ON ANOTHER DAY AT WINTERLAND IS FAR SUPERIOR TO THIS ONE have heard all sounboard tapes from these concerts

BRING OUT ALBERT HALL WHILE ENOUGH FANS LEFT TO BUY IT i know its finished with sound done by ED KRAMER

  • THE VERSION WITH THE GREAT GUITAR INTRO PRIOR TO VOCALS RECORDED ON ANOTHER DAY AT WINTERLAND IS FAR SUPERIOR TO THIS ONE have heard all sounboard tapes from these concerts

  • This video looks like Jimi Plays Berkeley to me.

  • Wow, his playing here is beautiful, quite different from the Monterey version.

  • We still miss you Jimi...

  • good song but the video looks really amateur at parts as in "lets try all the visual fx we can right here" we know how that worked out in the 80's

  • any true hendrix fan knows that no matter who put their brand name on it or whoever the highest bidder was, or the winner in some legal bullshit. NO ONE, not even for a second, EVER owned/ owns this man's music. No amount of boxsets or commercial sponsorship could ruin that. "If I don't see you no more in this world..." sheeit u know the rest. He's worlds ahead of all that.

  • "deep comment to appear cool to strangers" great cover

  • The greatest.

  • Hendrix? VEVO? Are you kiddin ' me? Jimi can't have his awesome music next to the commercial shit of today. FUCK VEVO!

  • Don't get me wrong - there's no one like him (although Stevie Ray came close). But there's a much much better version of this floating around. It's about seven minutes fifty five seconds.

  • @ibrahimtamerm Yes, this version : watch?v=LXDbSJL8ZzE&feature=related

For me, it's his better version of Like A Rolling Stone.

  • wtf is wrong with everybody this song is not by bob dyland, its by muddy waters.

  • The performance this comes from is from the 1st show on Oct. 12, 1968, the fifth concert in the series of 6 in 3 nights. The version in this video is edited down from more than ten minutes, eliminating some flubs by Jimi but missing some lines like "...who carried on his shoulder an artificial Siamese cat...".

This version, even though it is edited down, is still a great "single" release. The edits are suave and beautiful.

  • Classic Hendrix interpretation of Dylan's song. One of my favourite Hendrix tracks.

I'd take this to my "Desert Island Discs"

    Love and peace

    Malcolm

  • It sucks that we lost Jimi so young. The world could use his genius right about now.

  • thanx for sharing

  • I went to one night of this run. Fifteen years old, my friend's mom drove us and waited outside in the car for us. Hendrix, Albert King and John Mayall were all on the bill that night.

  • Great stuff. Wish it was longer.....

  • man i love how he intoduces it

  • Why does Vevo has to control everything now! im fuckin sick of that shit!

  • music is awesome...video is horse shit.

  • wonderful

  • 27th commenter!

  • LEGEND

  • Jimi puts Bob Dylan in the shade once again! (sorry Bob but Jimi puts everyone in the shade - period).

  • @Paligap7 While I'm sure Bob thinks very highly of himself, he thinks even higher of Jimi.

  • @Paligap7 I"ve said this before, once hendrix does anyone song it doesn"t belong to them anymore

  • @Paligap7 They shoulda worked together Hendrix and Dylan would have been amazing

  • amo jimi!!

Mto obrigada pelo presente de ouvi-lo e ve-lo...saudades.....

  • I never fail to be amazed at the variety and invention of his fills - the slow tempo *really* brings this out. Wonderful version!

  • Alegria me da al escuchar a hendrix mi artista preferido gracias por volverlo a recordar

  • Can we cut down on the special effects and cgi and just show footage of Hendrix? You're not going to fool the younger generation by modernizing old music. You're just pissing off people who want to see the real thing.

  • My gosh I haven't heard the Winterland set in SO LONG. Not since I owned the original cassette on Ryko many, many years ago. Forgot how good this version was, a little bit slower and more intense than the better known Monterey version.

  • Love Jimi

Hate this corporate Bullshit milking his legacy

  • @KanecoPT

Experience Hendrix LLC is owned and controlled by Jimi's Half sister Jani. So now instead of Jimi's music only enriching Alan Douglas (who had control until the late 1990's) and shareholders at warner brothers, it is enriching Jimi's rightful heirs and Sony shareholders. Hendrix's father Al had to take Douglas to court for over 20 years to get rights to his son's art.

  • @KanecoPT Ya I'm pretty sure Hendrix would love this corporate VEVO bullshit so much... For fucking out loud...

And 19 videos? The greatest guitar player in history for some of us and 19 freaking videos on his "official channel"? Hahahaha... this is so funny.

  • @KanecoPT Its not milking is legacy. Its letting people know that this is what music used to be but it will never be the same

  • @qwickiller While they make money out of the legacy of a dead god of music?

In a way your both right but they are more out for the money than showing people what good music is, if that was the case we would not have lady gaga, bieber and shit like that.

  • @qwickiller agreed

  • it's nice to hear Jimi in good spirits.... giving it the extra effort on the vocals... so many concerts he was just going through the motions... this is special

  • Muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuito loco!!!

  • Love this song! RIP Jimi

  • very nice video, its a shame theres no new footage though.

  • @tosiek1000 - Check out the video for Jimi Plays Berkeley. Wonderful performance - I remember (??!!) seeing it at a theater in SoCal in the early eighties. God, I love rock 'n' roll movies!

    Roger

  • @3708bole its a shame that they let people like you make posts on this music. go hate on your parents maybe then theyll give you some attention prick.

  • Love when Jimi did this song.

  • Music is my religion, Hendrix is my God.

  • @CaptainBananahead Orthodox is my religion and God is my God

  • @CaptainBananahead and I'm a polytheist!

  • Isn't the intro way longer??

  • Like Jimi Hendrix!!!

  • mmm..nice editing..but no new footage....OK no more stuff available..but something new it's around...

  • Is it better than the monterey version?

  • I feel privileged to be the 46th person to see this video!

  • the fuck is jimi hendrix doing with a vevo

  • They should have collaborated (Hendrix & Dylan), I mean, Dylan made the basics of these great songs and Jimi made those songs legendary!

  • Dylan's songwriting & Hendrix's guitar/ voice <3

    Great editing btw :)
