  • fuck you sun of nothing

  • @bayfield4222 this was meant for weloveclover.

  • Fuck, wow!!!

  • For some reason, when I listen to this I want to dance 50's style, like the Twist or something. Kind of like what John Travolta does in Pulp Fiction.

That or headbang. Can't decide which.

  • am i the only one that thinks of power rangers in space when it comes to this music video

  • Garcia's facial hair looks so gay.

  • @cathalcathalcathal

    hi Cathal

  • Hey niall

  • Do you like slow and heavy?

While waitin for the next new record from Kyuss...

...take a listen to "Enchanting Odyssey" from Ivy Garden Of The Desert!

  • @figliuolonumero1 to put in the least insulting words i possibly can; that song is horrible.

  • @omnivorecore

    Be clearer...

  • @omnivorecore

    Better...

What the fuck! Is an insult the only way you know to feedback a song of others?

    Congratulation!

  • @figliuolonumero1 sorry. opinions are opinions. i came to this page to listen to a great song. then someone (you) suggested to check something similar out. it was not similar. it was a sham. i felt cheated. that song was a terrible example of how stoner rock is now being commercialized just like what happened to punk. it is now being molded into some horrifying stoner rock and nickleback hybrid. its dumb.

  • @omnivorecore

    You're completely wrong man!

First: I Never suggested you to listen to Enchanting Odyssey to find a song LIKE pilot the dune!!!

Second: I never told Enchanting Odyssey is a great song! It's a simple song that can be appreciated..or not. You didn't like? Well but It's a pity you don't try to listen to the entire album "Docile". Did the bands you like produce perfect records? I don't think so. Queens commercialized stoner, band that most probably you listen to! Thanks them! Sorry

  • light it up

  • he's a full meaning of words VOICE VOLUME GAIN

  • Garcia looks liike Ronnie Van Zant.

  • This sounds good, It's heavy without pushing it, it has a good rhythm and a cool desert feel to it, but it lacks the mellow continuity that was the trademark and what I find most attractive in Kyuss.

    Still, it's good music.

  • Anyone else notice the famous rock that's in Star Trek & Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey...??

  • nasty dirty badass genius thing

  • what guitar is that? can someone tell me pls?

  • @sicknessguitar87 think it's an gibson SG

  • rain on a stoner rock music video is just so unusual xD

  • Dayum. That's a hell of a voice. Never heard this before.

Thank you wikipedia for introducing me to random bands I would have otherwise never heard of!

  • When John Garcia says rain, it rains.

  • such a shame they had to cut out the "silent" part.. its the best part of the song imo

  • One word : Garcia !

  • im planning to form a band and I want it to have a sound a little like this, along with my own music-fantasy of course. So if anyone in the gothenburg, sweden area wants to join me, your free to ask!

Great song by the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! love this band, they made a huge impact on me when i first heard em', and still do ! !

  • ja.....motherfucker with the censorshit........FUCK

  • wtf is wrong with that cencor shit at 1:39?

  • meeen how its i havent seen this???

  • wanna pilot that chick 0:34

  • finally a music video that doesnt suck

  • Kyuss Fans: The info. was leaked so I'm now allowed to announce that" Kyuss Lives" will be recording a new studio album.

"Our rehearsals are going so well that we're thinking of doing another record," said John Garcia." Brant, Nick and myself have have collectively agreed that once everything is done live and we're done with our solo projects, we're going to do another record."

  • @chiefdavidOK

i dont care. as long as they will show up in cologne this march. will be awesome :)

  • @chiefdavidOK YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!! You made my day bro!!!!

  • kick ass

  • the desert looks like the forbidden zone on planet of the apes . is that stoned thinking or what ?

  • amazing!

  • I love it not to heavy but not to soft perfect balance for stoner rock.

  • John Garcia <3 !!! He could sing like Xmast songs or what ever and I would listen, hahahahaha !

  • Avec un peu d'imagination, on dirais qu'il dit : "Passer le balais, le balais !" au refrain x)

  • mann, i really hope this videos meant to be such shit quallity, this looks so fucking.. vintage man

  • I have to agree that most of Kyuss' riffs weren't very melodic when taking in consideration that most people consider "melodic" as using 7 different tones. I'm not sure if I can remember one song from Kyuss that did this. This pooves that melody isn't really in the amount of tones. I think Kyuss and Sabbath are both melodic! So I'll say that 5 tones is all you need, and 6 is pushing it.

  • This "Sabbath Formula" thing is bullshit with some sense...

Pentatonic scale riffs with blues solos (lots of bends, vibratos and etc) is the simplest way to make music... but IT'S NOT EVERYONE WHO WORKS ON THIS FORMULA THAT MAKES WONDERS!!!

It takes some talent, and Kyuss had it (Josh, Brant, John, Nick and Scott). And so did Sabbath (Ozzy, Dio, Tony Iommi)

The real thing is: SABBATH CAME FIRST!!! That's why they set these standarts, man...

  • why are you guys saying that kyuss worked on the sabbath formula? I dont think that at all. Some tunes must have something in common but the overall majority doesnt sound nothing alike. Btw, I love both bands.

  • i miss kyuss...

  • pretty cool

  • I think this version of the song is better. becaus you can here the chorus a third time at the end

  • One of My favourite songs.

  • (IF you catch my drift = they are just another band influenced by the big boys

That's how I look at it.. is all

  • haha still trying to escape the 80's glam rock~? :P

  • At the end its heavy and Sabbath sounding...badass

  • @DruNation Sabbath? haha hardly

  • @Getitinya0069 yeah that guitar riff towards the end is very Tony Iommi!

  • @DruNation Nooo, not as 'quality' as Sabbath.. sure it's 'similar' but really, it's miles off > I'd run and listen to Sabbath if that was the case :s Often imitated but never duplicated..

Don't get me wrong I do resect this tye of music, even though it may not sound like I do.. haha I just get annoyed daily by people who hear me listening to some Sabbath tune and they ask me.."Hey. is that Ozzy?" to which I answer "Noooo, it's not, it's Black Sabbath ya tard!" ;D ;D :P

  • @Getitinya0069 Kyuss took the black sabbath formula and worked wonders with it, they are definitely on par with Sabbath

  • @ConiferTreez Meh, there's no convincing a 'Kyuss fan' that Kyuss isn't on par with Sabbath. My main point is that Tony Iommi has always been severely underrated within the music industry as a guitarist. And he is a much better guitarist than this guy playing for Kyuss, no doubt. Monster Magnet worked more wonders with the Sabbath formula even.. but neither of them are 'on par' with Iommi's genius.

  • Anyone else think John looks like Saul from Pineapple Express???

  • Где бы ни пел Гарсиа он лучший вокалист в стоунер роке!

  • I enjoyed the song live :-).

    It was awesome.

  • this song almost kicks TOO much ass!!!

  • great song to smoke a blunt to

  • fucking desert stoner rock rulez

  • this song is unique

  • great john garcia!!!

  • curious, since talentless hacks like britney and christina make millions upon millions... how do you guys think a real musician like Garcia has done for himself with all he's over the years, financially?

    random question I know :D

  • @papasaun01 Didn't he end becoming a Vet or something working with animals?

  • @RootJensen what teh fuck?

  • @panzerny It was something I heard years ago not long after Kyuss.. I'm just glad he got back into the music :)

  • @RootJensen well right after Kyuss he was in Slo Burn, then Unida, then Hermano and right now Garcia Plays Kyuss , so he has not got back, he has been into music all the time.

  • @panzerny Garcia vs Garcia.!! Hell yeah.!!

  • Such an awesome song and that woman is gorgeous!

  • Didnt even know a video for this song existed, nice. The endings a bit shit though, how theyve changed it. Whats the fuckin point!

  • John Garcia is the hombre.

  • I miss the 90's. Sort of.

  • Sweet solo shot of yours truly @1:37... Fun shoot, good tune.

  • John Garcia is so awesome! His voice is unique! He's my favourite singer. Thanks for posting!

  • @BigGirlWithAGun

Try "Enchanting Odyssey"...I hope you like it!!

  • megafangoddamntastic.

  • Garcia <3 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 1:41... this shit brings me back, a friend gave me a cd and said hey check out my cousin's band, and this turned out to be the album that led me into stoner rock

  • One word: BADASS.... This is like Mad Max 4 with no Mel Gibson... Garcia's in charge now

  • Yeah, I asked here because the lyrics say "a pilot" on most of the lyrics sites but on urbandictionary "pilot the dune" had the same definition than yours. Anyway, most of the lyrics sites copy each other so someone submitted the wrong lyrics and everyone copied it. Thanks!

  • thx, so it's "I said I pilot, I pilot, I said I pilot the dune?" instead of "I said A pilot...?"

  • what does "a pilot the dune" mean?

  • WTF? Whoever cut this was a complete asshole! The song is awesome but the video is bullshit. Seeing John in that net-top is absolutely ridiculous. And to rape the original heavy ending is blasphemy to say the least! Some people simply don't have a heart...

  • at 0:34 to 0:36 is that Shannon Sossamon?...I'm just saying.....John Garcia is so killer in this song..

  • no one can do vocals like garcia.....sexcellent...simply sexcellent..

  • fucking amazing vocalist

  • john garcia. kyuss.

  • i knew that ;O

  • mammoth volume

  • a good song with the baddest video

  • put the full song on you foll

  • R.I.P john Garcia

  • Why RIP?

  • aye??

  • He`s not dead

  • Comment removed

  • josh was good and his sound is very original but if u look at their post kyuss work u can tell homme wanted to be the boss of his own band that could go in whichever musical direction he wanted, he probably felt his talent was going to waste cos kyuss were never big. But this song is as good as any kyuss song and that says somethin about johns input. I'll always respect josh for what he did with kyuss but i'll never forgive him for leaving the motherband of stoner for a shot at being a rock star

  • I like and respect the way you put that, but look at what homme did do. He is a rock star now. I do understand what you mean tho.

  • Solid comment, although I disagree about this being as good as any Kyuss song, because it's definitely not. It's all right, but come on...this compared to Whitewater? Gardenia? Spaceship Landing? None of these post-Kyuss bands with Garcia have guitarists that can belt out those monstrous riffs like Josh. Plus, Scott Reeder and Brant Bjork had a lot to do with the music as well, it was definitely a group effort.

  • i know the rest were important to kyuss' sound and knowing they were the originals erns them extra respect but cant u imagine this song being on circus? if i didnt know better id say this was josh on guitar.maybe im just under the spell of johns voice and its clouding my judgement. im just really happy theres more john garcia stuff out there to be discovered.

  • I dunno man, I don't think Garcia's vocals or lyrics here are nearly as strong as in Kyuss. If anything, Hermano is better. And no, Circus was much more chill and jam-like. The closest thing this song sounds like is something off Wretch, which was definitely their weakest album.

  • thanks for the tips guru

  • Aye well said, as a massive Qotsa fan, and a big Homme fan as a guitarist, I understand what you mean totally. But I reckon overall, if Homme hadn't left Kyuss, then we wouldn't have amazing bands like Slo Burn, Hermano, Qotsa and moving further away from the genre, EODM or more recently TCV. But well said man

  • Not to say Kyuss, should have split up, Kyuss were fucking amazing :) but it certainly could've worked out alot worse.

  • yes at least we have them, but i would trade them all for kyuss back in a heartbeat.

  • john was the reason kyuss was so good, not homme. and why is this record so fucking hard to find!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • right because you know Homme only played the lead fucking guitar. His sound was unique as fuck. Scott Reader also made them awesome.

  • ^ Brant Bjork was awesome as well.

  • If you dont like this, you are a huge pussy. .

  • JOHN GARCIA FUCK YA

  • john garcia is the man

  • john garcia is the shit man...a legend

  • Kyuss, Slo Burn, Unida, Hermano = the best stoner music in the world. And the same BEST stoner vocal - Johnny 4ever!!!

  • check out sleep i f you liked kyuss and garcias side projects.

  • I fucking love Sleep, but I wouldn't associate them much with Kyuss; Sleep went much more for the whole doom vibe. They still kick ass though.

On a different note, anyone who doesn't rate this as 5 stars is a bollock juggler

  • yes, sleep has little familiarity but it is still worth checking out.

  • uf.

    pure stoner rock

  • John looks fucking sexy during the rain part.

    And I'm not even gay.

  • But you should find out in anycase sweetie :)

  • ahaha

    No I'm pretty sure ;)

  • I have the same sensation to Brody Dalle and i`m not even lesbian so i believe you ;) Cheers

  • i like to see you make sure your not a lesbian lol. i love john garcia best voice ever!

  • haha, john looks like dicaprio in the dune scenes.

    kyuss, slo burn, unida RIP

  • OH MY GOD O_O

what have i been missing all my life........x_X

  • even after some 10,000 plays on my ipod this never wears out, fans should also check out hermano, not AS great as slo burn or kyuss but a nice couple of CD's for your collection :)

  • Also check out Unida...John's band after Kyuss and Sloburn

  • AND Hermano! :)

  • I Bought the Sloburn Cd in a shop after checking out the front cover.....didnt know who was in the band didnt know i tell ya....i discovered he was in kyuss through that record...and Kyuss took my breath away...couldnt breath ....but man what a fucking band.

  • this jersey boy bought this cd in vegas in 97 during a cross country jaunt in a 66 elcamino. the car is a wreck ,but the cd keeps kicking ass.

  • Who cares. John was the reason Kyuss existed, and he's equally good on the Slo Burn songs.

  • wow. have not heard this edited mix before. threw me off a bit!

Slo Burn kicks ass! Took me six years to find a copy of their CD in New Zealand after it was deleted by the record company.

  • Yeah, wonderful stoner rock!

    Lay on, prey on!

  • Comment removed

  • You can't compare any other stoner band with Kyuss. All other bands can be similar...but the difference with Kyuss is simply too large!

  • Well the guitar isn't as "free-wheeling" if that's the right word than Kyuss, but other than that I would agree.

  • Nah brah, Kyuss hada blues-ier sound to thier songs, especailly thier later CDs.

  • i can sit totally smashed of my face and listen to kyuss not so much to slo burn well maybe i can but they only made like 4 songs monster magnet i now worship or desert sessions love stoner/desrt rock so much

  • yep

  • Enough with the hate people. All the bands I've seen mentioned here are awesome in their own right. Unite and rock on!

  • jajajajajaja si señor este juan garcia es la hoxtia jajajajaa

  • To me it's more Sabbath-y than Kyuss, they are kinda similar but they aren't the same.

  • I fuckin love it, garcia is an amazing singer

  • PS - I gotta admit though, theres a really nice chorus in that song 'The Prizefighter' .

  • Comment removed

  • anyone who rags on this song or band dont realy listen to music, coz these little Douche bags are sayin its "to similar to Kyuss" or "they copied Kyuss"

well you guys dont deserve an opinion coz yous dont know how to listen to music and see good in it, its all just negative with yous, listen up! or shut the Hell up! props to HomelessKev and anyone who likes this band, this song and anyone who loves Balls out Rock music!

  • First of all I do 'really listen' to music. My entire life is music and Kyuss started it all for me. Kyuss were an incredibly original band, and if they had given into the temptation of imitating THEIR favourite band, then Kyuss as we know it wouldn't even exist. Same goes for any artist. If it's not something fresh and original then you may as well lie on the couch all day with cheeto crumbs on your face.

  • Who cares if they sound like Kyuss? Kyuss were effin' A! and so are sloburn, Unida and Hermano!

  • i will always love anything with garcea in it.

i would just love to see him work with homme on an album just to fuck around

he's just gotten so music singing talent now

  • It's an amazing song.

  • It's alot less layered then kyuss. Also sounds alot more distorted? I like their EP alot , i dont mind they sound like Kyuss. I mean that's like a good thing.

  • shut up man! slo burn is unique, and nothing like kyuss.

And even if you think its sounds too much like kyuss, who gies a fuck, they do it well and sound amazing.

  • Comment removed

  • To similar to Kyuss

  • yeah man i seen hermano live there about 2 or 3 months ago, i tink....man im fuckin stoned! and Garcia can still rip it up man! his vocals are Phenomenal! man thats a great word, Phenomenal! its so great that i had to look it up in the dictionary! coz i cant spell for shit, but ill never give up weed, coz its a necessary tool of life! if everybody in the world smoked weed, it would be like the best day on weed....every day!

  • Who´s on drums??

  • Brady Houghton on drums

  • Incredible.

I wish I had vocal chops like John's.

  • pure stoner :D

  • garcia is a god, but that shirt has got to go..
