Actually, the economic crisis is caused by the subprime mortgage fraud that the Clinton administration began. Bush just didn't solve the problem, he made it worse with his spending. Auburn - To stop a recession you have to increase spending. This is basic fiscal policy. If you don't start pumping more money into the economy unemployment keeps going up, dollar value keeps dropping, production slows... it's disaster.
If Obama wasn't doing what he's doing now America would be heading for a depression instead of a recession. It's scary that he's spending because of the huge level of debt America is already in, but that's the fault of the last 8 years.

Priceless! I think your tinfoil hat must've slipped off. If you'd done your homework, you'd know that the (grass) roots of this go back way before Rick Santelli went off on the floor of the Chicago Exchange. The impetus of the Tea Parties has been brewing for years, well before the Obamessiah was annointed. The People have been fed-up for years, the recent wave of government corruption and incompetence was just the final straw.

The Bush years were certainly rife with corruption and incomptence, from Bush to Brownie to Abramov to Vitter to Gomez and back again. Iraq was a disaster. Katrina was an abortion. Are you suggesting these tea parties are a delayed protest against a disgraced Republican regime? Funny, I thought it was all about the depraved policies of a president in office less than 3 months.

The tea parties are not a specific protest against this administration or the last, but against the corruption, violence and incompetence that has been rampant in D.C. for decades - you need to get past the simplistic left-right, "My guy won" mentality. Sorry that "your guy" was the one who finally broke the camel's back, but there's plenty of blame to go around - Americans need only look in the mirror when searching for the traitors of our ideals - we all did it together.
