  • People insure themselves to protect their house, car's, life, dog's etc, yet they do not insure their terms and condition's at their place of work, .roughly its will cost you 1 and a half pints of lager/beer per week union subsciption. Don't listen to the boss.........

  • Unions help hard working men & women earn a living wage. (PERIOD)

  • We need real trade unions and a real Labour party

  • The traitorous behavior of Union leaders will not be forgotten.

  • wats the name of this song

  • @kestin100 "One" (sometimes known as "One is the Loneliest Number") by Harry Nilsson.

  • @mbmjson Check out your mother's gaping vagina, racist.

  • Respect from workers in Baltic States!!!

  • hitler was socialist who advocated workers rights?why did he oppose unions?

  • Union advert?! wtf?! Welcome to the new world order...

  • @bousias how can it be a new world order if they have no way to organize their members or leadership, let alone their income?

  • Unions are the best hope for working people.

    Viva UNISON!

  • Unison SUPPORTS THE BOSSES and wants the British working class to be happy getting food and a roof over their head, but not there members. They even give the Labour party millions and soon well have 3 million unemployed again!!! And not 1 a Unison public sector working. Unison is a pathetic bunch of Stalinist Nazis

  • the wobbilies number around 40 members in britain, why is that? could it be that you talk shite? or is it that your stratagy is wrong? why dontyou all join one existing union and take over a section of it and show the world what wobbilies can do? or is it that you prefere to be outside the ring rarther than in it taking the knocks? there are good people in the ring why not get in and help them? or do you preferlooking up your own arse?

  • The unions are useless though. At my dad's work the union "representatives" all got pay rises for sucking up to management. They didn't do fuck all to help my mum when she needed it either. Me - I'm joining the IWW once I'm employed full time. I'd never pay to be part of one of these useless groupings.

  • If only they could all be like the Wobblies.

  • Yeah well, I'm an optimist. One day perhaps!

  • Complete and utter rubbish .Unison is not a trade union ,unison is a government agency and it's leaders agents....

  • There is no trade unions left.Unison has given the labour party millions.A party that has reduced the working class to 1840s levels. This is not big brother

  • For a union to affiliate to a political party it has to ballot it's membership. So I'd wind my neck in if I were you, and respect the democratic decision of the Unison membership.

  • @RepofMundania

Unison membership, members of a so called 'Trade Union' dont make me laugh. What sort of trade union gives money to a political party that actively seeks to make the poor poorer? I know it's called 'UNISION' they union of the I'm all right Jack public sector brigaded'

I cant wait till the next election and the British people make their democratic decision, hopefully labour will get 50 seats and go extinct followed shortly by the scum unions that support it.

  • @freddy77777 Thing about that is, until recently, Labour and the Tories had different ideologies. Labour's one was pro-workers and pro-trade unionism.

  • @Applemask

As a socialist l can honestly say that l will never ever vote Labour again

  • @freddy77777 How can you be a socialist and be against public sector workers organising?? I don't agree with much New Labour does, but realistically it's them or the Tories (unless you see a revolution in the next 5 months). And the workers in a union have the right to decide to support whatever political party they choose, or not to. That doesn't make those workers scum.

  • I'm against public sector workers donating money to a political party that hate the working class.

Maybe public sector workers have been too busy counting their wages and are so happy with their job security and pensions they have failed to notice the effects of labours anti working class policies since 1997?

It must be great to be immune from neo capitalism.

  • Are you a student by any strange chance, or just studenty in your politics? What do you spend your hard-earned pay on? Whatever you damnwell choose. Why should that be any different for Unison members? What right have you to be 'against' their democratic decision? They aren't trying to make you affiliate. Also, in case you haven't noticed, there have been many areas of the public sector who have suffered redundancies and pay freezes over recent months. Get off your ill-advised high horse.

  • Aslef Knapkin.

  • Go and suck the boss's dick then!

  • I think trade unions give management a taste of their own medicine. Why should workers allow themselves to be exploited so you can make 'profit'?

  • No profit = No company = No jobs. Everyone loses. Why do you think so much British industry has moved overseas to areas where employees really are exploited! Unions have helped drive some companies into the ground. My original post did specifically point towards 'lazy and incompetent' workers who use the unions to further their own ends. It's not as if employees aren't protected - current Employment law alone does that.

  • Unions don't drive out companies the greed of managers and owners does. If a company is crippled by industrial disputes then it is obviously not giving good enough terms, conditions or pay to its workers. Whats the point having a job if it isn't enough to live on. Without TU's most bosses would treat people like shit and this country would pretty soon end up like those 'business friendly' countries in the east with sweat shops and a starving population. Like here before workers unionized

  • Quite right.

A lot of these idiots who spout about banning unions probably owe their very comfortable existence or indeed their lives to their forefathers getting themselves a decent living.

At the turn of the 20th century the average life expectancy in the UK was under 40 and it was the richest country in the world.

When the WWI started the army was shocked by the health of men who volunteered as many joined to get a decent meal as to fight.

  • @cushy1900 Spot on!

  • Comment removed

  • Don't be an arse-licker, ahdoormat.

  • He is a boss, we are workers. He got his interests we got our. No wonder workers and bosses hates eachother.

  • Exactly. :)
