  • Omg I wish you would live in Singapore! I would be absolutely happy to give that sweetie a new good home as my last bird died of old age....

  • bella is soo pretty!!

    god bless

  • This may not be the best place to ask: I heard from a friend that some birds, namely african greys/ macaws, will self-destruct/ hurt themselves in extre,e absemce of their owners or people they are attached to. Is this true? I kinda called BS on it at first but then it almost made sense in a morbid way...

  • hahah so cute!! my love bird name also bella!! (peachfaced)

  • Would they be too noisy for a house pet?

  • @Jaanloka of course not.

  • @stargazrt4

I have four of them and of course they are loud! That´s why many people get birds and then they recognize how loud they are and give them away...

  • @Jaanloka its not noise, its music :)

  • @Jaanloka they are not noisy i have one

  • I'll take him, if he's still available..

  • Hi bella !!!!!!

  • He looks like a peep

  • My lovebird looks like this one. Same age at this time. But mine is a girl. Does anyone have a suggestion for her name?? I want it to have a fruit theme though. I was thinking Peaches but it doesn't match her colour.

  • @Jockalicious1 hello maby you like Chiquita it's a bannanna

    good luck

  • @smokeysmook Thanks I loove that name. I was kinda thinking Nello but then there was a girl and her Lovebird named Nello. Thats her new name. Chikita and Melon. Thanks soo much. Wait what is Melon in another Language?

  • babygirlx24 and Jockalicious1 are both my accounts :P

  • @babygirlx24 hi you're welcome

    hope you're happy with it

    named Chiquita

mine is now 13 weeks old

    I called him Dumpie

  • @smokeysmook What Language is that?

  • no offense but, how come you named a boy love bird Bella?

  • I love it,...

  • i do

  • hehe.

  • so cute i have one but its a girl cute

  • @TheNarutofan2009 You should not just have ONE - lovebirds need a partner, what you do is absolutely not right! Go and get her a partner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That's a myth. As long as you provide enough time for her social needs, one lovie is fine. Would you say that about an amazon parrot also?

  • @stargazrt4 Yeah that's a myth. Love birds are just vary needy a lot of people get more then one because of there size and the fact that it gives the bird a play mate to keep them occupied even when they aren't with you. I had two love birds myself and not at the same time. They love YOUR attention more then anything while they will enjoy other birds or a flock it's not required if your willing to spend the time they want with you. Just keep them with you watch TV whatever they love you for it.

  • @Crixe

    Nonsense.

  • @stargazrt4

I am a veterinarian and I have four lovebirds and as an expert I tell you: What you say is NOT right - of course they need a partner - every bird needs a partner! Did you ever try to read a book about lovebirds? You should, because obviously you have no idea of these birds.

  • @Vanrico12,

A single lovebird's partner is their human companion. I read many books about lovebirds and they all say they don't need another lovebird partner.

  • @marillblu

Yeah, idk what that person was talking about 'pick up a book' every book I have says it's a myth that they have to be kept in pairs.

  • @Vanrico12 thatt nott truee. i have one lovebirdd & hes absolutly PERFECT by himself. i have enough time to spend with him so he dosnt need a partner. partners are only for breeding or if you dont have enough time just foor your one loviee

  • @Vanrico12 it is not good to have a mate for a bird because they will bond with the bird and not humans. same sex pairs are not so bad but if you get a mate for them it should be a breeder bird. Just because they are called lovebirds does not mean they cannot be alone. it is better for them to be alone if you want them to bond with you.

  • @hazeful420

How cruel! I mean: What is more important - a happy bird or a bird that is tame because it has no other partner! I am a veterinarian and so I tell you: Please read a book about these birds before telling such false things!

  • @Vanrico12

One is enough as long as you keep it occupied. Two actually complicates things.

  • @lilbluependragon

How cruel! I mean: What is more important - a happy bird or a bird that is tame because it has no other partner! What you say is really egoistic!!!!I am a veterinarian and so I tell you: Please read a book about these birds before telling such false things!

  • @Vanrico12

You sure don't sound like a avian veterinarian. I bred lovebirds for almost 10 years and had large flight aviaries for them. It's not cruel to keep one alone just like it isn't cruel to keep one parakeet alone. It's not egotistic. I've had several single bird pets that were kept alone and they were fine. As long as you give them lots of toys and care they seem perfectly fine. If you have two they will just try to breed and they will get upset if you don't provide nest boxes.

  • @Vanrico12

Even if you get them a partner of the same sex they get jealous of each other since they are both tame lovebirds. My lovebirds were tame because I hand fed them all, they loved being around people. They were never tame 'just because' their was no other animal to interact with. Books? I have a shelf just for birds.

  • @Vanrico12,

A tame lovebird means it was fed and cared for. It means it enjoys human company. Maybe "tame" isn't the right word for it, but because it had social interactions with a human, it isn't scared of people like wild birds are. So I really don't get how a "tame" bird cannot be happy only because it is not afraid of humans.

I have read many books and articles on lovebirds. And again, they all say it doesn't need a partner as long as it has regular interactions with people.

  • @Vanrico12 False

  • GORGEOUS!!♥

  • bella is not right name if your bird is he!

  • is very beautiful!

  • wow those are interesting colors shes a mix of what.

  • Oh my god. He's beautiful.

  • wow what a pretty bird. what type of lovebird is it?

  • where are you located

  • Winston-Salem, NC.

  • So why did you choose to raise lovebirds?

  • They came with eggs.

  • @stargazrt4 lmfao!

  • i wish i could find a bird again

  • cute little birdy. I have a creamino too. She just turned 16..unfortunately she developed some chataracts in her eyes and cannot see as well..we used to let her fly around the house while we were gone but not we have to put her in her cage once we leave due to her limited ability to fly now. :(. this bird looks exactly like mine when it was a baby. they are the most loving little birds on earth.

  • A boy named bella? o-o

  • Ever heard of Bela Lugosi?

  • And your an ass, but I did not want to say anything. For your information, all our birds are flighted and loved. Their is no money in selling birds. I worked in a shelter for years and the adoption process for one of our babies is just as strick. We ae very picky. The ones who adopt our babies are the people who give $1000's of dollars to parrot conservation and bird shelters every year just like we do. We have personally placed over a dozen birds who needed homes from second hand sictuations.

  • I have also been responsible for the adoption of 100's of dogs and cats also bringing them in my home and socializing them. What have you done for "abandoned or neglected ones?" People can not buy a bird from us. Money means nothing. They have to be approved. We only clip our babies so they will get used to their new homes. They can still flutter across the room. It's a baby clip. Do you want them to fly outside so hawks can kill them? In 3 months the birds can fly again once they have bonded

  • to their new families. Our babaies love people and are very socialized. The more socialized a baby is, the more their families will see them more of a family member and not just another bird in a cage. Plus, we stay in contact through thck and thin, love and problems with all our clients, our new families. When our babies leave, we cry. We feel and love each one of our babies. They are with us for their first 9 weeks 24/7. Their parents feed play with them all the way also. We don't take them

  • away. As much time as we spend with them (love, training), why in the world would we "sell" them for profit. We are here to change the steriotypes of lovebirds and destroy bird farming. Through our babies and websites, we are! What are YOU doing except making rude comments on YouTube before you know the facts and our cause.

  • Our babies were adopted even before they were eggs, and we have a waiting list even now. But we don't know if and when we will have more babies becasue it is so much work and emotion that goes into the process. Only bird mills can make profit and God will judge them.

  • God gave me birds in my life to teach me to love again after the death of my mother when I was only 10. Our videos and our BeBe has changed so many lives for birds who just live in cages. Do you want me to send you the emails? You head would explode. What ave you done? Out of our ten birds, 6 of them were from second homes. So don't you dare talk about adoption to me!

  • One of our birds has cancer who was only supposed to live 2-3 months. That was 3 years ago. He is happy and enjoying life. He was an adoption also. So don't you dare play judge on us. If every breeder did what we do, their would be NO birds in shelters. Before you condemmed us, what are you doing to benifit the innocence in this world that live in our homes. Don't talk about the people who are here making a real difference. You have been served.

    ~Rodney Money

  • Read the above comments. You picked the wrong person on the wrong day.

    ~Rodney Money

  • thisworks2007 if you say birds are designed to fly outside then that means becouse humans are designed to walk outside they should not be allowed to have a house

it's called a home where you can feel safe and be happy same for the birds they are happy in their homes where they feel safe and are loved

so get your facts straight before trying to be a "animal friend"

  • i have a question.. i have 3 love birds a male, female, and a 4-5 week old baby..

the thing is about 2 days ago i noticed blood on the baby's back and blood on the males beak.. sense then i've removed the baby.. is this normal?

  • Yes and no. Sometimes it happens and you did the right thing.

  • The baby still needs to be fed by you then.

  • omg thats such a beautiful bird

  • i have two peach face

some 1 email me for training help

its bad cuz i got it as adults

  • I never seen a bird so beautiful.

  • I have a question...I have a female lovebird named Pumpkin with a male named Cary and a newborn named Tina, but the mother won't seem to pay any attention to the baby, only the daddy is. What could be the problom?

  • I am sure the baby is fine. Do you have them mixed up? Male and the female?

  • So cute!

  • Stunning color! Beautiful. I know I have been asking many questions, sorry about that but I was wondering, many people buy a male and a female, but what if you don't want them to have eggs? I see many videos of love birds together and many people seem to get a male and a female when they don't know how to care for the eggs/babies..?

  • she so beautiful!

  • فعغهق5فغاتالبيسشصثبلفات

  • That's a great bird!

  • where do you live i want a lovebird wich one is one sale

  • wow bella is a very bueatiful bird.

  • i dont rili like keeping birds cuz they supose to be free...flying free!!!

  • actually if these birds were set free they would be attacked because of their colours so that would be a bad idea :S

  • Our birds are flying free. Do dogs want to be set "free?" No, they want their family. There is no difference with our birds.

    ~Rodney

  • rili should be really and cuz should be cause. My birds have a great life and fly free.

    ~Rodney

  • My love bird "bip bip " would like to ask bella's hand for marriage.

  • How much are Lovebirds???

  • Depending from where you get one, their prices can range from anywhere between $90-$200.

[Luckily, I found someone who lives near me and is willing to sell me one for $45. :'D]

  • And you'll get what you pay for.

  • I hope I'm not coming off as rude or anything, but what exactly do you mean by that?

  • It's all good! We have found that lovebirds that are around $50 are normally not properly socialize since the breeder doesn't want to invest their time in relation to profit.

  • Oh, okay~

I'm not worried about it too much. The guy I'm going to get my lovebird from is a breeder, and the only reason he's selling her/him for so cheap is because he's a friend of the family. x3

  • Make sure he actually socializes the baby.

  • Oh he does. I've already checked with him and everything seems to be in order.

    I can't believe I haven't said this yet, but Bella/Carlito is gorgeous!
