Amazing place. However, it was not formed "millions" of years ago by the Colorado River. People continue to place their presuppositions and bias upon this theory. The flood of Noah made the canyon. It is a washed out spillway by an excessive amount of water in a short period. Where's the delta for it? Can rivers flow uphill, seeing where the river enters is below the top of the canyon by 4,000ft? Why are there no erosion marks between the rock layers? That river is actually drainage from 3 states
@34craigjan "Where's the delta for it? " The Colorado River delta contains over 100K cu/miles of sediment. The rest was deposited in the Gulf of California before the Colorado changed course. Now as far as the water flowing uphill bit....the Kaibab Plateau is rising and has been for quite some time as evidenced by the local vulcanism. There, now you are just a little less ignorant than you were before. No need to thank me. It's very much my pleasure.
@NorthForkFisherman your entitled to your opinion and supposive science, but it's still not even close to proving that river formed the canyon on it's own. That's ridiculous and you know it. Stop making ignorant arguments to justify your belief.
@34craigjan You are simply saying that you are ignorant of the processes, therefore god. It's your coping mechanism. And that's fine. Still has nothing to do with what the rocks say. And they speak in clear loud words. You have a nice day now.
@alanheath oh it happened and it was worldwide. There are flood legends from cultures all across the map. There was an instant rapid fossilization from the evidence found, not to mention the large amount of compressed oil under the surface, produced from the abundant loss of animal and human life that drowned and were buried.
he water receded back into the Earth Genesis 8:119 When the dove returned to him in the evening there in his beak was a freshly plucked olive leaf. Then Noah knew the water had receded from the earth). The water must have gone back into the Earth from were it came Genesis 7:11( on that day the springs of the deep burst forth) All the water went back into the Earth Proof - scientist have found underwater lakes using seismic waves.

Also i wanted to add that their are many ancient storys of Nohas Ark from arround the world (in simmilar detail) like the Mayans and the Romans and just about all civilized ancient cultures.
Its cool because the found a fossle of a tree in the Grand Canyon that is verticle and going through many layers of the Canyon. The big deal about that is their is no way it would have sat their for millions of years and allowed layer after layer to settle around it. It would have died a rotted. So how did it end up like that? That clearly suggest that it had to happen instantly. As an example A Great Flood. (They also have found many whales in many layers laying Verticle)
Just keep adding time and you will have whatever result you want. So, if the scientists are soooooo interested in claiming that they follow procedure, then why are they ignoring known facts about the area? Because, they are biased and not willing to use real science to prove the obvious.
did she say " the already rising platou created a geological BURST saw or Birth saw? someone please answer my question! i need ur help its for a project
@ulovexxxable She said "Buzzsaw" This an american term for a motorised saw for cutting wood. She was making an analogy of a rising plateau and a fast flowing river of debris cutting into the earth, like a saw through wood.
Maybe it's just me, and correct me if I'm wrong of course. But my uncle was a geologist and he used to teach me all about erosion when he would take my brother and me on hikes, and it looks like, based on the erosion patterns in the sediment, that it was formed quickly, like a cataclysmic event, instead of formed over a few million years... Idk though maybe some one can explain it :P
This video presents the 'sediment ascending' theory, in opposition to the 'ocean descending'.
Evidence in support of ocean descending would be (per AiG) "marine fossils in most rock layers in Grand Canyon. including topmost layer , the Kaibab Limestone exposed at the rim of the canyon, which today is approx 8,000 feet above sea level"; and (per wikipedia) "for some reason , the neighboring Colorado Plateau was able to preserve its structural integrity and remained a single tectonic block."
They got it half right here. The thing is that the canyon was undercut from below in the same phenomena as sink holes. That is why the side canyons ALL meet the Colorado at the bottom and there are NO WATERFALLS there. Were it not for a vast lake on the East side of the Kaibab plateau feeding the underground water table the sinkhole erosion process would have stopped in a great ampitheater before breaking through the plateau. The draining of that lake cut the main channel even deeper!
Dude calm down. U keep saying things without proper reason. If u don't like what I am doing then that is your prob. U r doing the exact same thing (either u or egamble) did last time; I asked a simple question. Where did we come from? Or in other words, What was the beginning? Who ever did it gave me that exact same reaction. If u know it, then teach these "ignorant" people the "truth" instead of chickening out.
Dude take it easy, calm down. U r simply stating what u think. In reality desert storms don't cause a lot of erosion. Ther's a difference between desert storms and sand storms. Ps u still have not answered my question.
Fuck off. I'm not gonna answer your question because we've been through it at length before. If you don't remember that's your own fault. And I'm not gonna argue with you about different kinds of erosion because I've had enough trivial interactions with you as it is. I'm not going to pretend to be an expert on dirt like you are. I repeat, you are an uneducated twat. You want references for info and you can't even conduct a proper prose. Stay in school little Christian and go suck the dick of God
Dude, calm down... No one is menacing u or anything. Let me ask u a simple question... R u a christian or ever been one before? Ps come on all u r doing is giving ur opinion, next time atleast a reference so we can b sure of the info. And when's the last time anyone saw or is recorded that desert storms occur often in GC. All desert storms do is carry some of the surface from one place to the other, but leaves the ground leveled. It does not change it.
@MrLive2praise Firstly, look at how inept you are. "All desert storms do is carry some of the surface from one place to the other but leaves the ground leveled". Are you seriously contradicting yourself in the same sentence like that and then questioning my credipility by insisting I reference the fact that STORMS HAPPEN IN DESERTS? You are a complete idiot. And you ARE menacing me because we've had this EXACT conversation on a different video post!! You are an uneducated twat!
Dude desert storms??? When was the last time one of those happened in GC, cause if it happened then, it should keep happening. And btw dirt erodes and settles down. The other dirt would pile up to it. And we'd end up with quite a lot of dirt.
@MrLive2praise You're an idiot. Yes...desert storms. Do you even know where the Grand Canyon is located? I don't know when the last strom was...not something I keep track of. But yes, storms do happen in deserts. Do you think the flow of water is the only factor in erosion? Are you saying the entire GC eroded into dirt? It's not worth arguing with you. You're a 16 year old creationist that 'knows' the truth no matter what evidence describes.
@MrLive2praise you will always be blinded by religion. you live to praise a tyrannical murderer that commands you to give him everlasting praise and glory upon pain of death and eternal suffering. You need to believe in God because you are afraid of what he'll do to you if you don't. You should free your mind from such mythical restraints. Are you and the millions of aborted fetuses gonna have a big party in heaven after you die? Get real.
@MrLive2praise The Colorado in the canyon is so full of sand, that years ago when ranchers tried to cross with sheep, the sheep drowned because their wool filled with silt and sand and caused them to sink. The water is literally RED.
John Hance, as a tour guide, when kids would ask how GC was made said, " I dug it". Until a 5 year old girl asked him, "And where did u put the dirt?" Having no answer, he stopped saying,"I dug it". This bothered him so much that on his deathbed he asked one of his friends, "Where do u think I could have put that dirt?"
@MrLive2praise For Christ's sake you're polluting these videos too with your crap??? Stop watching Kent Hovind seminars and get a fucking life! Where did the dirt go? Are you that daft? Dirt erodes and flows down rivers. Dirt blows away in desert storms. Or if you had actually watched this vid you would understand what 'debris flows' are. I don't think you understand what millions of years actually means. Stop being so stupid! You are a plague to the enlightenment of humanity!!!
Suppose GC was formed by the Colorado River millions of years ago, if this were true then the dirt (or the mud that was eroded) would amount up to 11.8 million billion tons of dirt, which 1.3 million cubic miles of rock, which 1,500 times the volume of GC. Which means we'd have one of the biggest piles of dirt in the world. If u look around GC u don't find any delta or dirt deposit, so it was something else.
This is how it was: Many years ago a jew was walking on the beach flipping on a coin. Then he dropped it in the sand it it was no where to be found. So he start digging after it. The spot is now called Grand canyon (thumbs up if you thinks its true)
Tributaries to the Colorado made the Canyon 18 miles wide when the Colorado itself generally didn't make it more than a mile wide?Yeah right. I know, given enough time,-------people will believe anything.
I believe Grand Canyon formed in few days when the flood waters were settling about 4400 years ago.
but sure, believe it happened over millions of years (: btw, when you hear: "millions of years ago..." think of when you was in your elementary school when all the ferry tails started with "long long ago or far far away...." usually, we know something's about to be said to us that is a pure lie.
@mikhailtsypan Or how about stories that start with "In the beginning...", that doesn't sound like what is about to be said is a pure lie? BTW, I am curious as to where these supposed flood waters were "settling". Being that the whole earth was covered right? So how is it possible that the water could recede, and where exactly did it go according to your "belief"?
@mikhailtsypan he water receded back into the Earth Genesis 8:119 When the dove returned to him in the evening there in his beak was a freshly plucked olive leaf. Then Noah knew the water had receded from the earth). The water must have gone back into the Earth from were it came Genesis 7:11( on that day the springs of the deep burst forth) All the water went back into the Earth Proof - scientist have found underwater lakes using seismic waves.
this shit did not help me so screw it its shit........... it can suck my 12 in. cock yeah (btw ima a girl i just say that) yeah im trying to study for a test and this is bull shit see ya
Everyone is wrong on the formation of the grand canyon, except for the rising plateau and the splitting of the plateau. It happened suddenly about 5000 years ago. Noah's flood did not cause this, nor the colorado river. None can find the sediments and rocks that supposedly washed out, it does not exist. The canyon formed in less than a day. The great canyon on Mars, also formed 5000 years ago, without water. The events happened with a near encounter with Mars, 5000 years ago.
@1949daxxx While true that there has been no field study on Valles Marineris but it did not happen 5000 years ago. Water, carbon dioxide and wind is resposible for the erosion but the rift began when the three large volcanos to the north lifted up. It stretched the crust creating the rift.
@Cinnarbar Miles high volcanoes do not lift up without a gigantic force, every effect has a cause, and it is questioned whether these are volcanoes. Only an encounter with a large mass, as big as the earth can be the force necessary. Gigantic electrical discharges between planetary bodies, as you see on the sun, can carve out the canyons and form gigantic volcanoe like formations. There is no water on mars. Read, the electric universe, and emmanuel velikovsky to get an inkling of new forces.
@1949daxxx The only object that is know to have a electronic discharge is the jovian moon IO. Thats becasue Jupiter has a large & powerful magnetic field. The energy is discharged on Jupiter with storms. But Mars has no magnetic field, nor dose any of its moons. Yes there is water on Mars. The energy from meteroid impacts causes rain for a brief period. Mars plantary dust storms also carved out the canyon. I am merely repeating the evidence provied by plantary geologist.
@Cinnarbar One has to forget about dust storms and floods because that is all we know and to believe that dust storms or water carved out the fantastically deep and lenghthy canyon on mars is beyond reason. We argue about things that don't make logical sense and that never happened, because we go by watching storms and floods on the earth. Near planetary encounters, and gigantic electrical discharges are the forces necessary to cause what we see. Once there is discharge, fields can disappear.
@1949daxxx For an gigantic electrical discharge to scar mars, the object would be need to have a excessive magnetic field. The only example I know is exo-planets. Planets larger than Jupiter orbiting a star in three days; sharing magnetic fields. When these magnetic chargers break, it releases a powerful payload of energy causing the star to produce a massive star ejection. If you look at a map of mars, you will see three volcanos to the north west. The uplift of these is what casue the rift.
@Cinnarbar It is not certain that these are volcanoes, and they are gigantic mounds. It takes a huge force to make these gigantic mounds, and these forces do not exist on the planet. If Mars passed by the earth, within 8000 miles, you would have the gigantic forces necessary, and thunderbolts of horrendous size striking. Interior of the earth would melt, mountains would form instantly, miles high tsunamis spread to the poles, an ice age shortly thereafter, all vegetation buried, miles high.
@1949daxxx These forces do not exist.... now! But that dosn't mean they didn't. Olympus Mons is the largest volcano in the solar system. It is a sheild volcano (like Manuna Kea in Hawaii) about the size of Arizona. The three volcanos to the northwest are the Tharsis Montes. If Mars passed by at 8000 miles, I would be surprise if they didn't collide. Gravity would be the force at work, but electro forces do not casue mountains. IO & Jupiter is an example of electrical activity, but not Mars.
Did you know that scientist have found many fossils of tree laying vertically through many layers. for the Grand Canyon to have formed over millions of years the tree wouldn’t have stood their while it got buried over millions of years. The only explanation for that is that it was berried quickly. Like a Great Flood.
Also their are stories of Noah’s flood from every ancient civilized culture around the world.
@KeybladePirate he water receded back into the Earth Genesis 8:119 When the dove returned to him in the evening there in his beak was a freshly plucked olive leaf. Then Noah knew the water had receded from the earth). The water must have gone back into the Earth from were it came Genesis 7:11( on that day the springs of the deep burst forth) All the water went back into the Earth Proof - scientist have found underwater lakes using seismic waves.
80 million years ago LOL. ahahahahaahahaahahaah .This was happened due to the flood where Noah rounded up the animals. Most of the dinosaurs got destroyed from the flood as well. This happened 2000+ years ago give or take a couple of hundred years.
@imthenoid69 Grand Canyon was formed after the flood. Behind it there were two great lakes. And probibly the lakes flew over cause of the melting icewater and washed out the canyon in a short time.
@AaronTrutsJC WHAT?!?!? Is you trollin? Dinosaurs existed 2000 years ago? You are truly one deluded fuck if you believe that. Dinosaurs became extinct around 60-70 million years ago. You, sir, are off by a factor of 35,000.
If some massive flood carved the grand canyon, then where is the evidence of such a catastrophic event, as surely there would be, outside of the grand canyon? Also, how do you account for the gradiated layers of rock left behind by millenniums of gradual erosion?
@sillymonkey829 I'm not going to argue about it because its not gonna change ur mind. But if you believe in god then you will start too understand.
Just think about it. If you look at a painting you don't have to see the painter to know someone created. If you look at the grocery store you go to you don't doubt if someone made up the blueprints and created.
If you look at the human body then you will see a great masterpiece. We where created as well. Evolution has so many flaws.
@AaronTrutsJC Evolution explains how life can adapt to their enviroment. This is geology, eg:- rocks, rivers, sediment, plate techtonics, volcanos, etc, not evolutuion. This is just erosion on a grand scale. The platu was once a sea bed. The soft sedementry rock was eroded away by the the river down to the hard bedrock. This happens everywhere. Its just nature. You should read a geology book instead of just simply believing god did it.
@Cinnarbar i know where i stand with god. He gave me a brain to think. Anyone can write a book. I stand by what the bible says. If I'm wrong then who cares. But if I'm right I'm going to heaven when i die. It's basically a win win situation. I'm good to go. I'm running my own race and not worrying about everyone else. You can choose to believe these theories if you want to but they are not gonna help you in the life to come. Straight up.
@AaronTrutsJC Its not a win win, its a loss. You waste your only life believing, without understanding the world around you. Yes anyone can write a book, but its takes years of reasech, training, detication and experience to provide a scientific theory. An unchalangeable explination for the natural world. Geology is the study of the earth. Not only it provides us understanding of our earths history, it provides valuable information to enhance our society. I can not ignore that for mere belief.
@Cinnarbar A loss? lol with all due respect I'm a better man because of Jesus. Before i was a christian i almost committed suicide. Now I'm uplifted and i have a purpose. I'm doing better in school and i have a good outlook on life. As i said before it is a win win. God is our provider no matter what. We are not here alone my friend. There are really smart Christians out there that have read all the geology books. They have graduated form some of the most prestigious colleges. Jesus is king,
@AaronTrutsJC Yes there are some christains that study geology, but they would agree with the geologist, not your views. They would not say evolution is flawed either. 75% of scientist are atheist, and 23% are agnostic. I can understand how that the idea of god and jesus sounds nice, but not true. Ignorance is bliss until reality bites you in the back. I accept reality dispite how wonderrful or bitter it is. Becasue of the bible, 64% of Americans beleive the Noahs flood happend! Thats not a win.

There should be rock flows in the canyon all the time? Where is the delta to the Colorado river? The video of the flood in China proves the power needed to move big rocks. I think its funny that "scientists" avoid all possible chances the earth flooded even though its clearly almost covered with water. I wonder why this is? At the same time "scientists" believe mars was flooded and there isn't a drop of water there. Science is funny.
4. There is no fossil layer, there are many layers of different kind of rock, evidence there was no flood. One layer of dead forest did not make hundreds of feet of coal.
Noah's flood? I thought that crap was a fairytale. But hey, I guess fairytales is a better explanation than science? "Small amount of river cannot carve the grand canyon no way. That's impossible"
Impossible? Excuse me are you a science major? I think the people in the video know what they're talking about.
small amount of river cannot carved the grand canyon no way. that's impossible. you need huge moving water to do it. noah's flood is best explain imo.
@JumpStartation There were huge amount of water that cut through the grand canyon taking note that 90% of the water are gone and enter into the Gulf of California and for other use of agriculture. If you look at the Colorado River today, of course, there is no possible way that tiny puddle of river could carved the canyon. That's because one look into the present and draw false conclusion. Btw, school would be nice but unfortunately they only show one side of the story.
@djcreation24 Have you been down at the river, it is bigger than it looks from the rim. And a lot of the rocks are shale and mudstones and desert sandstones, really soft. I would go with the low estiment of 5 million years to cut it.
@djcreation24 I don't care which personal view that people take on on age of the earth or such things people are free to discover life as they see fit. My main problem is there are other points of view that aren't being mentioned.
I never learned the biblical point of view till after schooling and I spent a lot of time learning about a world of billions of years. It was actually surprising too. A lot of trust has to be placed to "science" to accept millions of years.
@gregrutz It's not about ignoring facts, the facts are still there. The point of view explains where the differences in interpreting the facts are. This is an interesting video, watch?v=Yr42pNV-Eyo&p=45EF1B713A923F1F&feature=BF&index=7
@smoothpeople33 your link does not work. Floods don't make distinct layers of different kinds of rocks. Geologists only have one point of view. Watch the video.
@smoothpeople33 It's easy to create a strawman version of science and paint it as "just another religion". It is not. Indeed, that's the whole point of science. Nobody takes anybody's word for it. Ever. Evidence is checked and re-checked. Experiments are repeated many times by multiple independent researchers. And the logic of every scientific theory has to be absolutely watertight, expressed in a testable mathematical way so that it can be readily refuted.
Plate tectonics have huge issues like, how did they get the energy to move themselves. NO good explanations are out there except a water layer collapsed and heated faults which broke the plates in the right way causing a quick slide and then coming to a stop as they now have, some having dove down under each other and others ramming into each other.
@Cheshie This video "tells" you how it happened versus offering a competing theory as those "assholes" who call themselves creationists do. Do you realize how many theories there are which differ on how it was formed? the facts are still despite this video, catastrophic accounting explains the sea creatures, speed in which it was created, the oppposing dirctions of erosion, the uphill erosion problem, the new lava flow being dated older than the oldest layer, the 900 cubic miles missing . .
@Cheshie some of us "assholes" accept that this is very possible and likely the way the grand canyon was formed. we know the earth has been changing and moving since beginning of time. please don't lump us all together like that. it's not nice. i do believe God created the earth but i also believe the earth has moved, changed and evolved since then.
@fairtiffb Well if you don't think The Grand Canyon was caused by the Biblical flood and accept the reality of the natural (AND AWESOME!) processes of erosion and plate tectonics, then I wasn't criticizing you, so you shouldn't take any offense. I'm glad to hear that you are reasonable, and have enjoyed this discussion!
@Cheshie lol, thanks! but i'm not saying the flood has no role in it. there is evidence of oceanic life in the rocks of the canyon. the flood may be responsible for this. according to the Bible the waters were only there for 40 day. is that even enough to carve a whole canyon (i don't think so) or put enough oceanic life over that area for there to be fossils? the down fall of us Christians is we try to explain with Biblical events but there are many years and events not covered in the Bible.
@fairtiffb On the contrary, oceanic fossils are exactly what you would expect to find in the upper layers of mountains. As small crustaceans die out at sea level, their shells are fossilized and rise up with the mountains as the mountains themselves are formed by the collision of tectonic plates over the millennia . It's all entirely explainable and easy to understand and does not require any sort of theological intervention.
@Cheshie I didn't think about that! obviously i knew rocks were pushed up with the plates but i didn't think about fossils! i as i kind of put, but ran out of room to fully say, i don't think the flood waters were even there long enough to make a huge difference in the shape of the earth. there is also some debate that the flood was just the "known world" and not globalized. but this isn't about the flood lol! i never like science but i am finding this topic very interesting!
@fairtiffb You are suspiciously optimistic. I won't belabor the Flood topic, so I'll just say that I'm happy to exchange ideas with someone so willing to listen to reason and I'm happy you're taking an interest in science.
LOL! What rubbish! There are gazillions of "tributaries" around the whole planet off of main rivers and there are no other "Grand Canyons". So this grasping-at-straw-conjecture is entirely LAME.
please let this not be a creationists viewplease let this not be a creationists view please let this not be a creationists view please let this not be a creationists view please let this not be a creationists view- YAY!
O oh! Here we go again. @Machiavelli76•Youre just like those people talkin smack about it not raining before the Flood. God gave those people 120yrs in which Noah built the Boat and preached the end of the world was coming. They didnt believe until those first few rain drops. Too late then. Door was closed a week before it rained. Keep talkin' smack.
If it wasnt for Galileo Galilei, we as fools as the church would have wanted everybody to be as we speak, we would be walking around still thinking that Earth was the center of the universe. But people like him made us see the world and the cosmos as we see it today. No God, nor no human was around to see how this canyon was made. so stop the BS, most of you dont even know what your talking about.
All of you, most of you are SHEEP! Following scriptures some crazed out fanatics wrote to brainwash pagans. Let me tell you, Jesus, he aint never comming back To this piece of shit world, never. Keep dreaming boys and girls. And that goes for Allah to, he would be laughing at Jihadists right now, dumb apes. The planet would go through changes with or without us, you people think you are so exclusive cause we have evolved our brains to think some guy lives in the clouds. LOL! wake the EF up.
what did allah do? did he line up a couple of million fanatics with semtex strapped on and then detonate them all-that might have worked.Psg 23272327 your an idiot and stop talking shit
@psg23272327• Allah never made anything except Muslims.
He's just another man who claims to be God/Jesus. Satan wanted to be God. How could he when he couldnt create anything? He was a creature, not a creator. Thats our problem. Everyone wants to be a god.
The bible? Noahs Arc? LOL! THOSE ARE NICE TALES. Tell me, how did Mr Noah fit 2million to 100million species on some large boat, and thats without counting the dinosours. The bible is a book of fairy tales, wake up and smell the coffee. The bible is a book written by jews to brainwash pagans in that land, and in that time, and it aint brainwashing me in this era, I and many others are to smart and not inocent enough to believe that crap. Move on ALREADY!
Unless you were there and saw the "jews" physically write the bible then this is just your opinion. Opinions can be right, but they can also be wrong. You sound like a really negative person...
@Machiavelli76-Here's my take. The Bible says species of its kind. So a cat, not the whole family of cats (lions, tigers, jags, panthers) they are all cats. Male & female. God never allowed Dinosaurs of any kind on the Ark. ALL were destroyed in the Flood. I choose to believe the Bible. Moses, who wrote Genesis wasnt there in the beginning. God told him what to write. Now is that diffcult to believe?
I thought the Bible was fairy tales until I read it.
Coconino Sandstone is a geologic formation that spreads across the Colorado Plateau
This rock formation is particularly prominent in southeastern Utah. It is also in the Grand Canyon, where it is visible as a prominent white cliff-forming layer. Coconino sandstone appears below the Kaibab Limestone and the Toroweap layer. Coconino layers are typically buff to white in color. It consists primarily of sand deposited by eolian processes (wind-deposited) 260 million years ago.
@gregrutz.SORRY my man! the earth is NOT millions of years old. We have been lied to by some very smart and stupid beings. More like SIX THOUSAND YEARS. God created this earth and he almost took it down, except "NOAH found grace in the eyes of God" God waited 120 years for the people to straighten up. Then it started to rain when it never rained before.NOW, God has given us warnings over 120 years ago. Next time by FIRE.The earth is ripe and ready. BEWARE my friends.
Never had a big interest in it. If I did, I would always use the Bible as my foundation for my studies. If Geologist or any other scientist, would use the Bible as their point of reference they would discover alot more than they have. And would come to some startling conclusions, im sure.
The God that I know want us to study how He made the Universe and all that He has made. It would show how awesome He is. He taught Adam the secrets of the Universe.
One principal that most miss is that, with God the natural cooperates with the Supernatural. God is not confined to the natural world. He is outside of that. Thats why the Bibles says God made the earth stand still. He became a man to know what we go thur. So we can have power to do what we cant do. Whatever Jesus did on earth, we can do.
It is absolutely amazing to stand at the rim and admire the enormity of the canyon!

@34craigjan You are simply saying that you are ignorant of the processes, therefore god. It's your coping mechanism. And that's fine. Still has nothing to do with what the rocks say. And they speak in clear loud words. You have a nice day now.

@34craigjan I think you will find that the flood of Noah - if it happened at all - occurred in a completely different place on Earth.
alanheath 5 days ago
@alanheath oh it happened and it was worldwide. There are flood legends from cultures all across the map. There was an instant rapid fossilization from the evidence found, not to mention the large amount of compressed oil under the surface, produced from the abundant loss of animal and human life that drowned and were buried.

Idk though maybe some one can explain it :P
evysayshello 4 months ago

Who ever did it gave me that exact same reaction. If u know it, then teach these "ignorant" people the "truth" instead of chickening out.
MrLive2praise 10 months ago

MrLive2praise 10 months ago
@MrLive2praise Firstly, look at how inept you are. "All desert storms do is carry some of the surface from one place to the other but leaves the ground leveled". Are you seriously contradicting yourself in the same sentence like that and then questioning my credipility by insisting I reference the fact that STORMS HAPPEN IN DESERTS? You are a complete idiot. And you ARE menacing me because we've had this EXACT conversation on a different video post!! You are an uneducated twat!
lorenzopearson 10 months ago
Dude desert storms??? When was the last time one of those happened in GC, cause if it happened then, it should keep happening. And btw dirt erodes and settles down. The other dirt would pile up to it. And we'd end up with quite a lot of dirt.
MrLive2praise 10 months ago
@MrLive2praise You're an idiot. Yes...desert storms. Do you even know where the Grand Canyon is located? I don't know when the last strom was...not something I keep track of. But yes, storms do happen in deserts. Do you think the flow of water is the only factor in erosion? Are you saying the entire GC eroded into dirt? It's not worth arguing with you. You're a 16 year old creationist that 'knows' the truth no matter what evidence describes.
lorenzopearson 10 months ago
@MrLive2praise you will always be blinded by religion. you live to praise a tyrannical murderer that commands you to give him everlasting praise and glory upon pain of death and eternal suffering. Are you and the millions of aborted fetuses gonna have a big party in heaven after you die? Get real.
lorenzopearson 10 months ago
@MrLive2praise The Colorado in the canyon is so full of sand, that years ago when ranchers tried to cross with sheep, the sheep drowned because their wool filled with silt and sand and caused them to sink. The water is literally RED.
Mozart1220 7 months ago
John Hance, as a tour guide, when kids would ask how GC was made said, " I dug it". Until a 5 year old girl asked him, "And where did u put the dirt?" Having no answer, he stopped saying,"I dug it". This bothered him so much that on his deathbed he asked one of his friends, "Where do u think I could have put that dirt?"
MrLive2praise 10 months ago
@MrLive2praise For Christ's sake you're polluting these videos too with your crap??? Stop watching Kent Hovind seminars and get a fucking life! Where did the dirt go? Are you that daft? Dirt erodes and flows down rivers. Dirt blows away in desert storms. Or if you had actually watched this vid you would understand what 'debris flows' are. I don't think you understand what millions of years actually means. Stop being so stupid! You are a plague to the enlightenment of humanity!!!
lorenzopearson 10 months ago
If u want more look up Jonh Hance's (one of GC's most famous tour guide) story.
MrLive2praise 10 months ago
Suppose GC was formed by the Colorado River millions of years ago, if this were true then the dirt (or the mud that was eroded) would amount up to 11.8 million billion tons of dirt, which 1.3 million cubic miles of rock, which 1,500 times the volume of GC. Which means we'd have one of the biggest piles of dirt in the world. If u look around GC u don't find any delta or dirt deposit, so it was something else.

1949daxxx 1 year ago
@1949daxxx While true that there has been no field study on Valles Marineris but it did not happen 5000 years ago. Water, carbon dioxide and wind is resposible for the erosion but the rift began when the three large volcanos to the north lifted up. It stretched the crust creating the rift.
Cinnarbar 1 year ago
@Cinnarbar Miles high volcanoes do not lift up without a gigantic force, every effect has a cause, and it is questioned whether these are volcanoes. Only an encounter with a large mass, as big as the earth can be the force necessary. Gigantic electrical discharges between planetary bodies, as you see on the sun, can carve out the canyons and form gigantic volcanoe like formations. There is no water on mars. Read, the electric universe, and emmanuel velikovsky to get an inkling of new forces.
1949daxxx 1 year ago
@1949daxxx The only object that is know to have a electronic discharge is the jovian moon IO. Thats becasue Jupiter has a large & powerful magnetic field. The energy is discharged on Jupiter with storms. But Mars has no magnetic field, nor dose any of its moons. Yes there is water on Mars. The energy from meteroid impacts causes rain for a brief period. Mars plantary dust storms also carved out the canyon. I am merely repeating the evidence provied by plantary geologist.
Cinnarbar 1 year ago
@Cinnarbar One has to forget about dust storms and floods because that is all we know and to believe that dust storms or water carved out the fantastically deep and lenghthy canyon on mars is beyond reason. We argue about things that don't make logical sense and that never happened, because we go by watching storms and floods on the earth. Near planetary encounters, and gigantic electrical discharges are the forces necessary to cause what we see. Once there is discharge, fields can disappear.
1949daxxx 1 year ago
@1949daxxx For an gigantic electrical discharge to scar mars, the object would be need to have a excessive magnetic field. The only example I know is exo-planets. Planets larger than Jupiter orbiting a star in three days; sharing magnetic fields. When these magnetic chargers break, it releases a powerful payload of energy causing the star to produce a massive star ejection. If you look at a map of mars, you will see three volcanos to the north west. The uplift of these is what casue the rift.
Cinnarbar 1 year ago
@Cinnarbar It is not certain that these are volcanoes, and they are gigantic mounds. It takes a huge force to make these gigantic mounds, and these forces do not exist on the planet. If Mars passed by the earth, within 8000 miles, you would have the gigantic forces necessary, and thunderbolts of horrendous size striking. Interior of the earth would melt, mountains would form instantly, miles high tsunamis spread to the poles, an ice age shortly thereafter, all vegetation buried, miles high.
1949daxxx 1 year ago
@1949daxxx These forces do not exist.... now! But that dosn't mean they didn't. Olympus Mons is the largest volcano in the solar system. It is a sheild volcano (like Manuna Kea in Hawaii) about the size of Arizona. The three volcanos to the northwest are the Tharsis Montes. If Mars passed by at 8000 miles, I would be surprise if they didn't collide. Gravity would be the force at work, but electro forces do not casue mountains. IO & Jupiter is an example of electrical activity, but not Mars.

If you look at the human body then you will see a great masterpiece. We where created as well. Evolution has so many flaws.
AaronTrutsJC 1 year ago
@AaronTrutsJC Evolution explains how life can adapt to their enviroment. This is geology, eg:- rocks, rivers, sediment, plate techtonics, volcanos, etc, not evolutuion. This is just erosion on a grand scale. The platu was once a sea bed. The soft sedementry rock was eroded away by the the river down to the hard bedrock. This happens everywhere. Its just nature. You should read a geology book instead of just simply believing god did it.
Cinnarbar 1 year ago
@Cinnarbar i know where i stand with god. He gave me a brain to think. Anyone can write a book. I stand by what the bible says. If I'm wrong then who cares. But if I'm right I'm going to heaven when i die. It's basically a win win situation. I'm good to go. I'm running my own race and not worrying about everyone else. You can choose to believe these theories if you want to but they are not gonna help you in the life to come. Straight up.
AaronTrutsJC 1 year ago
@AaronTrutsJC Its not a win win, its a loss. You waste your only life believing, without understanding the world around you. Yes anyone can write a book, but its takes years of reasech, training, detication and experience to provide a scientific theory. An unchalangeable explination for the natural world. Geology is the study of the earth. Not only it provides us understanding of our earths history, it provides valuable information to enhance our society. I can not ignore that for mere belief.
Cinnarbar 1 year ago
@Cinnarbar A loss? lol with all due respect I'm a better man because of Jesus. Before i was a christian i almost committed suicide. Now I'm uplifted and i have a purpose. There are really smart Christians out there that have read all the geology books. They have graduated form some of the most prestigious colleges. Jesus is king,
AaronTrutsJC 1 year ago
@AaronTrutsJC Yes there are some christains that study geology, but they would agree with the geologist, not your views. Science is funny.
smoothpeople33 1 year ago
@smoothpeople33
1. Why, it is in the desert
2. the delta is downstream
3. water moves the biggest rock given time.
4. No global mud layer
gregrutz 1 year ago
@gregrutz
@gregrutz 1
1. The delta should be at the end of the river. The river moved more dirt then possibly any other canyon.
2. Downstream is where your should see alot of dirt. Very absent
3. Water will move the biggest rocks given enough time but evidence is left behind.
4. The rapid burial of the animals that make up the fossil layer, the coal deposits, and the continental shelfs are all evidence of flood events.
smoothpeople33 1 year ago
@smoothpeople33
1. the delta is at the end of the river.
2. where did the flood move the dirt?
3. the evidence is left behind, a big canyon.
4. There is no fossil layer, there are many layers of different kind of rock, evidence there was no flood. One layer of dead forest did not make hundreds of feet of coal.
Read a geology book.

Noah's flood? I thought that crap was a fairytale. But hey, I guess fairytales is a better explanation than science? "Small amount of river cannot carve the grand canyon no way. That's impossible"
Impossible? Excuse me are you a science major? I think the people in the video know what they're talking about.

djcreation24 1 year ago
small amount of river cannot carved the grand canyon no way. that's impossible. you need huge moving water to do it. noah's flood is best explain imo.
djcreation24 1 year ago
@djcreation24 Is it now? You should spend some time at school.
JumpStartation 1 year ago
@JumpStartation There were huge amount of water that cut through the grand canyon taking note that 90% of the water are gone and enter into the Gulf of California and for other use of agriculture. If you look at the Colorado River today, of course, there is no possible way that tiny puddle of river could carved the canyon. That's because one look into the present and draw false conclusion. Btw, school would be nice but unfortunately they only show one side of the story.
djcreation24 1 year ago
@djcreation24 Note to self: Don't feed the creationist troll. They will always be "right".
JumpStartation 1 year ago
@djcreation24 Have you been down at the river, it is bigger than it looks from the rim. And a lot of the rocks are shale and mudstones and desert sandstones, really soft. I would go with the low estiment of 5 million years to cut it.
gregrutz 1 year ago
@djcreation24 I don't care which personal view that people take on on age of the earth or such things people are free to discover life as they see fit. My main problem is there are other points of view that aren't being mentioned.
I never learned the biblical point of view till after schooling and I spent a lot of time learning about a world of billions of years. It was actually surprising too. A lot of trust has to be placed to "science" to accept millions of years.
smoothpeople33 1 year ago
@smoothpeople33 Point of view? So you are going to ignore the facts because of your point of view?
gregrutz 1 year ago
@gregrutz It's not about ignoring facts, the facts are still there. The point of view explains where the differences in interpreting the facts are. This is an interesting video, watch?v=Yr42pNV-Eyo&p=45EF1B713A923F1F&feature=BF&index=7
smoothpeople33 1 year ago
@smoothpeople33 your link does not work. Floods don't make distinct layers of different kinds of rocks. Geologists only have one point of view. Watch the video.
gregrutz 1 year ago

Do you realize how many theories there are which differ on how it was formed? the facts are still despite this video, catastrophic accounting explains the sea creatures, speed in which it was created, the oppposing dirctions of erosion, the uphill erosion problem, the new lava flow being dated older than the oldest layer, the 900 cubic miles missing . .
brother234 1 year ago
@brother234 It's pretty clear you don't know what you're talking about. Please don't vote.
Cheshie 1 year ago
@Cheshie some of us "assholes" accept that this is very possible and likely the way the grand canyon was formed. we know the earth has been changing and moving since beginning of time. please don't lump us all together like that. it's not nice. i do believe God created the earth but i also believe the earth has moved, changed and evolved since then.
fairtiffb 1 year ago
@fairtiffb Well if you don't think The Grand Canyon was caused by the Biblical flood and accept the reality of the natural (AND AWESOME!) processes of erosion and plate tectonics, then I wasn't criticizing you, so you shouldn't take any offense. I'm glad to hear that you are reasonable, and have enjoyed this discussion!
Cheshie 1 year ago
@Cheshie lol, thanks! but i'm not saying the flood has no role in it. there is evidence of oceanic life in the rocks of the canyon. the flood may be responsible for this. according to the Bible the waters were only there for 40 day. is that even enough to carve a whole canyon (i don't think so) or put enough oceanic life over that area for there to be fossils? the down fall of us Christians is we try to explain with Biblical events but there are many years and events not covered in the Bible.
fairtiffb 1 year ago
@fairtiffb On the contrary, oceanic fossils are exactly what you would expect to find in the upper layers of mountains. As small crustaceans die out at sea level, their shells are fossilized and rise up with the mountains as the mountains themselves are formed by the collision of tectonic plates over the millennia . It's all entirely explainable and easy to understand and does not require any sort of theological intervention.
Cheshie 1 year ago
@Cheshie I didn't think about that! obviously i knew rocks were pushed up with the plates but i didn't think about fossils! i as i kind of put, but ran out of room to fully say, i don't think the flood waters were even there long enough to make a huge difference in the shape of the earth. there is also some debate that the flood was just the "known world" and not globalized. but this isn't about the flood lol! i never like science but i am finding this topic very interesting!
fairtiffb 1 year ago
@fairtiffb You are suspiciously optimistic. I won't belabor the Flood topic, so I'll just say that I'm happy to exchange ideas with someone so willing to listen to reason and I'm happy you're taking an interest in science.

LOL! What rubbish! There are gazillions of "tributaries" around the whole planet off of main rivers and there are no other "Grand Canyons". So this grasping-at-straw-conjecture is entirely LAME.

Found some more evidence of a world wide flood.
Animal fossil footprints in mountains are found mostly going up hill.
"Nuff said.
Splovengates7 1 year ago
What????
Fossilized animal foot prints were made on the flat. Whatever direction they point on mountains is due to earth movements.
TheBaldmeister 1 year ago
@Splovengates7 No, nuff. fooprints don't go uphill, and if they did it would not prove anything.

@Splovengates7 What flood? There is not evidence for a global flood, it sure didn't kill the Chinese.
gregrutz 1 year ago
If it wasnt for Galileo Galilei, we as fools as the church would have wanted everybody to be as we speak, we would be walking around still thinking that Earth was the center of the universe. But people like him made us see the world and the cosmos as we see it today. No God, nor no human was around to see how this canyon was made. so stop the BS, most of you dont even know what your talking about.
Machiavelli76 1 year ago
All of you, most of you are SHEEP! Following scriptures some crazed out fanatics wrote to brainwash pagans. Let me tell you, Jesus, he aint never comming back To this piece of shit world, never. Keep dreaming boys and girls. And that goes for Allah to, he would be laughing at Jihadists right now, dumb apes. The planet would go through changes with or without us, you people think you are so exclusive cause we have evolved our brains to think some guy lives in the clouds. LOL! wake the EF up.

@psg23272327• Allah never made anything except Muslims.
He's just another man who claims to be God/Jesus. Satan wanted to be God. How could he when he couldnt create anything? He was a creature, not a creator. Thats our problem. Everyone wants to be a god.

200 years ago, the first geologist went looking for evidence of the global flood.
They believed the bible story, like all people of the time.
They couldn't find any evidence of a GLOBAL flood, None.
They found that the deeper you dig, the more primitive the life forms you find.
They studied the rocks and concluded the world was Millions of years old,
Before dating methods were discovered that showed the earth is Billions of years old

The canyon is not wide, if it was not in a desert, it would be too wide, gone.

The bible? Noahs Arc?
Machiavelli76 2 years ago
Unless you were there and saw the "jews" physically write the bible then this is just your opinion. Opinions can be right, but they can also be wrong. You sound like a really negative person...

Maybe it was a big fuckin boat thats the size of Texas that nobody can seem to find any remants of! LOL

Same Kind? YES! That is why; all humans are still apes,
and all apes are still monkeys,
and all monkeys are still primates,
and all primates are still mammals.
and all mammals are still tetrapods.

Splovengates7 2 years ago
@Splovengates7
You have never studied geology, have you.
gregrutz 2 years ago
Never had a big interest in it. If I did, I would always use the Bible as my foundation for my studies. If Geologist or any other scientist, would use the Bible as their point of reference they would discover alot more than they have. And would come to some startling conclusions, im sure.
The God that I know want us to study how He made the Universe and all that He has made. It would show how awesome He is. He taught Adam the secrets of the Universe.

We used the bible once, it was called the Dark Ages.
Science does not use the supernatural, it changes no experiment.
gregrutz 2 years ago
One principal that most miss is that, with God the natural cooperates with the Supernatural. God is not confined to the natural world. He is outside of that. Thats why the Bibles says God made the earth stand still. He became a man to know what we go thur. So we can have power to do what we cant do. Whatever Jesus did on earth, we can do.
Splovengates7 2 years ago
@Splovengates7
''god is outside of that"
That is why geologist don't use the supernatural.
