Its an awesome video because you can tell the guy, even though he is japanese, really understands the depth of this song, sings it his way for a while, (he prounonces hand when he should say and.) he sings it very literally, but rocks it out at the end to put the crowd, so I bet that was a pretty sweet show.
He's not nearly as bad as people made him out to be. I've heard worse covers by English speaking artists/bands (I'm looking at you Pearl Jam). Also he has an accent but I think it isn't difficult to understand what he is saying.
He is not triing to imitate Bob Marley..he is just interpreting a wonderfull song with is own style....and what the hell this is a "SONG OF FREEDOM" ... if you really are fans of Bob Marley you should open your mind a lil bit.

i honestly love this song and bob marley but this cover really does it no justice at all. in a way its emberassing to hear this cover especially when bob, ziggy, and joe strummer made such amazingly beautiful versions of the very same song.
I think this resembles Bob Marley's idea well enough. Also, I've heard the acoustic version sang by just Mr. Marley and it wasn't the music that inspires, it was the lyrics. He did a good job translating it to the crowd that wanted to listen, I think Mr Marley would be proud.

It`s not that he`s black/white/yellow whatever, Bob himself was a bit of a mix, and Dragon Ash are a decent band ( check Viva La Revolution ). It`s more that it`s just a dismal version .....so what ? i honestly love this song and bob marley but this cover really does it no justice at all. in a way its emberassing to hear this cover especially when bob, ziggy, and joe strummer made such amazingly beautiful versions of the very same song.

I think this resembles Bob Marley's idea well enough. Also, I've heard the acoustic version sang by just Mr. Marley and it wasn't the music that inspires, it was the lyrics. He did a good job translating it to the crowd that wanted to listen, I think Mr Marley would be proud.
