this is actually a pretty hard variation. it takes a lot of effort to make your arms look that graceful. the music is quite fast, though

my favorite version of sleeping beauty - austrilian ballet company! i grew up watching it since i was six or seven xD that was sooo long ago. but i haven't seen any version danced better than theirs!

This is my favorite variation of this. She's not quite as good as Sarah Lamb is at it, but she did it to the speed I learned it, so I like it slightly better for that reason.

I'm not sure what to think! It was certainly very fast, but she had good technique and looked quite happy. Same choreography as Sarah Lamb, but this girl seemed to do it very differently somehow. Maybe it's just the speed.

Weird costume though. Not sure if I like the gold under the tutu or tall headpeice.

Odd echappes; she seemed to be very far back on her feet during that part. Maybe it's just the choreoghraphy.

No, its not just the speed. This video is like the young hyper, excited little bluebird, and Sarah Lambs performance is like the older wiser, graceful bluebird. ^^ I love them both!

The costume seems fine to me, not its not as pretty as others I've seen, but it does its job. XD If I were the dancer I would certainly like Sarah Lambs costume better, but then again- each to their own. This costume fits the younger style of dance, while Sarahs fits the wiser bluebird. :)

that's the speed I learned it at, Sarah Lamb does the slower version with a very slightly different choreography. That's my favorite version of the variation. I think the biggest difference was on her fouttes . It seemed like she didn't turn around all the way, like she stopped facing the audience, rather than the opposite side of the stage... and I also agree about her being back on her feet on the eshapes.

As one of her students at this present time...I can truelly say that she still is a technition and that of her lovely standard and technique from her time she carries that across in her teaching, which is invalid and worthy of todays much higher standard and expectations. She is not too small!!! And she doesn't have awful feet....as has already been pointed out, this is form over 20 yeats now. Do not be so cocky!!! Just appreciate this eautiful art!!!

I know her personally.If you think you can do better... then where is your footage. She is a beautiful dancer, with passion and energy take into concideration that this footage is from over twenty years ago.. sure put it up against today's standards and you may have a valid point, however it is timeless. everyone has there good and bad points. stop being hyper critical and have something positive to admire in other dancers.
