yes it is god who will judge our outcome. of course. everyone knows that. but we're taught from very early on that homicide and suicide are such serious hellbound sins. if we are to now try and change that rule, then where is the incentive not to kill ourselves or others if we are to think we are still going to heaven?
we were taught by brother mccary by preaching and by his example. he let us all down.

It's too bad that most of your church is trying to fool each other and themselves in thinking otherwise. It's a shame but that's how it goes when something happens close to them. Suddenly the rules "change". Well, it might with them, but they do not change with God.

I happen to have known, loved and sat under Pastor Mccary for over 10 years and I don't believe for one minute the Lord overlooked the fact that he was such a good hearted, and generous man that delivered the Lords word to thousands of souls and sacrificed all he had for his saints and family...

chrissy87, you confuse posting basic rules of god as outlined in the bible as condemnation for this man. it's rather sad that you consider that bad morals (assuming you were being sarcastic).
i guess i have to remind people that to murder someone, even if it is yourself, is not approved by god. not even close. if you continue to doubt what i say, i strongly urge you to read the bible. im ashamed that i attend church with so many ppl who dont understand god's law.

well unless you have re-written the bible and we didnt get the word, i will take what you say also with a grain of salt. suicide is a betrayal to jesus, church and family. if you do not agree with this, then i suggest you take a long hard look in the mirror. the 'full story' (which you couldnt possibly know if i know or not) is not important since i never learned that suicide is ok with god if certain circumstances are met. and i didnt judge the man, i stated facts according to my bible.
Yes its a tragedy i cant imagine how his family is feeling i think hes in gods hands now and we cant say for sure a righteous pastor will go straight to hell. Its a terrible thing

stevenc2007, well i am not the one who decides obviously, but any christian regardless of what denomination knows quite clearly that suicide is not tolerated by god. it's quite that simple. i said i feel badly for the family and it is a tragedy, but that doesnt mean we can fool ourselves thinking that someone who commits suicide goes to heaven. i didnt make the rules so everyone can argue with the bible if you dont agree with the rules. :-)

stevenc2007, doubtful. im much less concerned about his fate and more concerned about the people in his life who suffered from this selfish decision. these are the people who he's hurt. these are the real victims. but ultimately you're right it's out of our hands. have a blessed day.
How could i be insensitive? I said so very sad. I heard he commited suicide i was very shocked about that .i have a lot of respect for him i never meant offend anybody

i feel sorry for brother mccary's family. why was he so selfish to do such an act without any regard to his family or Jesus? sad. well, suicide is a serious sin and that's why he's in hell now. so sad.
