  • Hm...I wonder why it's called Peperoncino. Anything to do with pepperoni although there's no pepperoni involved? Just curious.

  • @coolboxbueno The Pepperoni word (this word doesn't exist in Italian: the thing you called pepperoni we called it "salame piccante") is a corruption of the plural of the Italian word peperone (that in English is pepper, the vegetable), peperoncino (i.e. the hot pepper) has nothing to do with "pepperoni" :o)
