@FireKracker44 We used an ARRI III (Super 16mm film) then transferred to video for editing. Two days of shooting. Ninja Scene - 8 hours of shooting. Final Fight - 17 hours of shooting. We needed to shoot more coverage, but there is only so much you can ask of people working for free.

Elektra in a lab coat made me roll my eyes a bit. would've been a lot cooler to use Misty Knight. no sais, but bionic arm would be fun. and you can always bring Colleen Wing in for the sword fighting. ;) fun stuff...just a lot of little things would make it a lot better.

Iron Fist is a better Martial Artist, but Batman has the gimmicks like smoke bombs, ball bearings and stuff. If Batman couldn't beat Bronze Tiger, no way could he beat Iron Fist, who has gone toe to toe with Captain America.
Thanks for the kind words. We tried to capture the feel of the 1970's Iron Fist comic as well as the superhero films (TV movies) of the time. Younger viewer should be aware that superhero movies used to be more campy action fun!

it was colorful..looked more like a high school production. The movie isn't racially PC kind makes the asians look inferior. Director and writer needs to do more research.
The martial arts were impressive. The dialogue, acting and story were not. Danny Rand-Kai is not that intense. I give it 2 fists out of a possibble 5.

@someUtubeguy I was just dissapointed in the slow feel of the White Lotus vs Elektra fight. I mean, complaining your opponent isn't dead after 2 attacks? And a simple video x2 speed would have made the swings much more, sword attack-like.
Other than that, it was overall not bad at all for a fan film.
Dont listen to these douchebags, this is a really good fan film, especially since it is, as previously formentioned, a fan film. You did a really great job at finding actors who could also fight. The one thing i would suggest working on is speeding up your weapon fight scenes, which really is just a bit more practise.
Cool fan film, nice effort, Iron Fist's a great character. Ray Park was supposed to star in an Iron Fist movie, but production was cancelled because of legal problems Park was having with his agent. Bummer. This fan film kinda reminded me of Dirk Diggler in "Boogie Nights"... ;)
If I ignore my Comic book geekdom, it was ok. Now with that said would have been nice to see buddy style MA fan film with Power man and Iron Fist. For the Fem back up you could have use Misty Night and/or Collen Wing. your could have even pull out White tiger for the "Hero For Hire" re-launch.
This Iron Fist fan film was created as a class/personal project for a class (Comics To Film) I teach at Five Towns College, NY. It cost several hundred dollars (even with free use of college equipment) and took two major days of shooting. The first night was 8 hours of shooting in the streets of New York City (ninjas), and the second day of shooting took 15 hours. The crew was mostly students - many play ninjas. The main actor was a professional martial artist/actor. Thanks for watching.
Is it me or does elektra always get her butt kicked in fan movies never the less it was a great fan movie great fight choreography, interesting story and decent use of special effects, lighting and camera angles.
I have watched a few fan films lately, and I must say that they have something in common; something that big-budget Hollywood films don't usually show in their superhero movies: that is a genuine respect and -yes, we can say it- love for the character. Limited resources are the mother of creativity and wit. Good job Auxlia!
I've seen a lot of amatuer comic movies made and this one has got to be the worse. The story was ok but the acting and fight scenes were very bad. Whats worse, you gave IF lines that he would have never said in the comics. He sounded too ghetto. IF would have been more philosophical. Being a big IF fan, I was very disappointed. Please don't try a Shang Chi film unless you know what you're doing

I thought it was very well done. It was a definite plus that the person playing Iron Fist seemed to actually know martial arts. The acting did seem a little forced and I don't know if Iron Fist would just let Fang Lee go though.
Work on the acting and the dialog and this would be f#@%ing awesome.
For been an amateur short, is very good, I love how Marvel turned this cheesy charachter into the most awesome superhero of today, good film, a little bad the acting, but who cares, I loved the Iron punch at the end, it looked awesome, hope to see more episodes.

More delightfully cheesy than comic book guys bathtub full of nachos! Forced acting(as was stated earlier) banal writing, decnt enough production-and ya just got to watch it for three reasons-IRONFIST, the fight scenes and that Ironfist punch toward the end-badass!
And to be certain to but the icing on the cake, it concludes with one of the most badass and duly appropo MOTORHEAD songs ever written!
Makes you wonder why the guys at Marvel film seldom think to do shit like that...:)

Great film! I have to disagree with the post requesting a beefier actor. Martial artists should look like your actor even if many comic artists defer to one standard bodytype for most heroes. I have a bodybuilding friend who might make a good Cage if you plan on doing a sequel. He looks the part of a modern Cage but being from St. Thomas I'm not sure if he sounds the part. How long did it take you to shoot this and what city was this shot in?

This Iron Fist fan film was created as a class/personal project for a class (Comics To Film) I teach at Five Towns College, NY. It cost several hundred dollars (even with free use of college equipment) and took two major days of shooting. The first night was 8 hours of shooting in the streets of New York City (ninjas), and the second day of shooting took 15 hours. The crew was mostly students - many play ninjas. The main actor was a professional martial artist/actor. Thanks for watching.

Is it me or does elektra always get her butt kicked in fan movies never the less it was a great fan movie great fight choreography, interesting story and decent use of special effects, lighting and camera angles.

I have watched a few fan films lately, and I must say that they have something in common; something that big-budget Hollywood films don't usually show in their superhero movies: that is a genuine respect and -yes, we can say it- love for the character. Limited resources are the mother of creativity and wit. Good job Auxlia!

I've seen a lot of amatuer comic movies made and this one has got to be the worse. The story was ok but the acting and fight scenes were very bad. Whats worse, you gave IF lines that he would have never said in the comics. He sounded too ghetto. IF would have been more philosophical. Being a big IF fan, I was very disappointed. Please don't try a Shang Chi film unless you know what you're doing

Great video. Yes I agree they have. I love what they have done with the character. Iron Fist is my favorite marvel character and I hope we see a big screen movie of him soon.

I thought it was very well done. It was a definite plus that the person playing Iron Fist seemed to actually know martial arts. The acting did seem a little forced and I don't know if Iron Fist would just let Fang Lee go though.
Work on the acting and the dialog and this would be f#@%ing awesome.

This looks like some scenes from a well done TV film despite the low budget it has.
The talk is a little slow at some moments, but it isn't bad.
This is the second scene that makes me feel guilty for not collecting Iron-Fist comics, and sense that this guy is underrated by comic audience

For been an amateur short, is very good, I love how Marvel turned this cheesy charachter into the most awesome superhero of today, good film, a little bad the acting, but who cares, I loved the Iron punch at the end, it looked awesome, hope to see more episodes.
p.s.Put some white shades to the mask it really needs them

More delightfully cheesy than comic book guys bathtub full of nachos! Forced acting(as was stated earlier) banal writing, decnt enough production-and ya just got to watch it for three reasons-IRONFIST, the fight scenes and that Ironfist punch toward the end-badass!
And to be certain to but the icing on the cake, it concludes with one of the most badass and duly appropo MOTORHEAD songs ever written!
Makes you wonder why the guys at Marvel film seldom think to do shit like that...:)

This turned out INCREDIBLE! YEA Galiardi and YEA Greg!! Everyone on this shoot did SUCH a great job! Especially Albert and Jeff for doing staying way past scheduled wrap to perfect the fight scene. And Amber for getting cut by a sword lol!

Great film! I have to disagree with the post requesting a beefier actor. Martial artists should look like your actor even if many comic artists defer to one standard bodytype for most heroes. I have a bodybuilding friend who might make a good Cage if you plan on doing a sequel. He looks the part of a modern Cage but being from St. Thomas I'm not sure if he sounds the part. Kool!!! Elektra could of been alot more aggressive and she didnt handel the sais all to good. The acting could be better. There should of shown more of Iron Fist using his powers. But still pretty awsome.
