That's because Red State Update is mocking Blue Collar Comedy's target audience. But, instead of mocking them at an intellectual level, Blue Collar Comedy actually tries to legitimately target their style of humor toward that same target audience. Which, of course, is why Blue Collar Comedy wreaks of failure to anyone with half a brain.
It is based on my subjective opinion of what is funny. If we are judging their success purely by how much money they have made, then yes, they are a great success.
Also, saying that Blue Collar Comedy is not funny to anyone with half a brain was just a joke that you are free to not find subjectively funny.

Ouch! Some funny lyrics but the delivery was downright scary. Good thing MY sister and I were not in the audience, Dunlap would of had to cut his painful singing painfully short when if he'd a thrown his leg up over one of our seats...LOL! That being said, I did I like the line about "running my balls further down the field for you". The whole video plays better if you close your eyes..
