Batch files are not considered, "Viruses." Too much CPU consumption will always crash your computer (ANY program not just .BAT.) A real virus would be either keyloggers, trojans, laggers, CPU hack, and other malicious files that includes, "Messing, screwing, and logging." Try searching up scvhost.exe. That's the real deal, it'll consume all of your CPU and your computer will DIEEEEEE.

Command Prompt viruses are just simple commands. It's not really a virus since you're just physically clicking and typing a command like DELETE C:/SYSTEM32/. Which will devastate your computer and it will cause the B.S.O.D.

A real virus would contain encrypted data/files that will actually harm your PC.

In notepad write exactly this @echo off :A start goto :A save it as anything as long as it has .bat on the end when opened this will keep opening the cmd prompt using nearly all of your cpu usage causing the computer to crash.
