@humansevryware well if you look carefully at the small print at the end of the ad, it says the toys don't speak. And it seems likely the characters do talk in-game. By the same token, I wonder who'll voice Spyro? I know his last VA was Elijah Wood, who voiced him throughout the Legend of Spyro trilogy.

@5757Gamer Well its kind of imposible to have the game and just one skylander cause the game automatically comes with 3 skylanders. You don't even have to use all 3, but its more a matter of how fun playing the game is gonna be with however many skylanders you have/want.
This is depressing to watch. Once upon a time, the "Spyro" series provided some of the best games ever made for the Playstation. Insomniac Games needs to get the rights back and reboot the series, and hopefully make something remotely comparable to the first three games.

Spyro and Cynder's backstories in Skylanders are based on their LoS counterpart's stories. That doesn't mean they're the same exact characters. Skylanders is indeed a reboot of the Spyro series and a spin-off for the franchise. Please do your research.

@zergswarmling you can get upgrades with the gems, you have to go to the fairy in the ruins once you complete that level. The upgrades give you special moves! Overall a pretty good game! Only the story is not the best. But it was worth buying.

I agree. I've been with Spyro since the very first game, and I don't feel like Skylanders is 'ruining' my childhood. Because I still have the original three Spyro games that are my childhood and play them whenever I miss playing the original Spyro, they haven't changed a bit nor have them altered by the new publishers.

The fans are picky because Skylanders isn't the type of Spyro game they selfishly want so badly. They hate it so much, that they're only giving Spyro fans who are calm about Skylanders a bad name. And the fact that most of those raging picky fans are adults makes it even worse that they're not acting 'mature' as they claim when they're sending pointless death threats to both Activision and Toys for Bob all these months in a useless attempt to cancel this game.

Tell that to the now out of control older Spyro fanbase. @CrystalBlazier Well I'll have to disagree a little there, they "changed" Spyro's look witch is tetchily a "change" and its no longer a platfomer so that's a big change. I like the idea and all but as a original series not as a Spyro game, just really never thought they would take away what Spyro was known for.
Though Insomniac never owned the rights to the Spyro franchise, Universal did, and they were later renamed Vivendi Games that made the LoS, and are now merged with the company of Activision. So in total, fans who are raging uncontrollably over this game are also flaming on the original creators of the Spyro series who are now within Activision.
This game is for little kids, and if you play this and you're older, that's sad...

For piss's sake it's a video game not a movie, acting shouldn't be THAT huge in a game, and the actors weren't bad, just different.

The older fanbase has turned picky. Some fans honestly think that Spyro should grow up with the fanbase, and that didn't turn out well with the LoS. I know most of the older fanbase who are nostalgia hoarders want Spyro to be the same and stay the same since Insomniac stopped developing the game. Picky much?

The fans are picky because Skylanders isn't the type of Spyro game they selfishly want so badly. They hate it so much, that they're only giving Spyro fans who are calm about Skylanders a bad name. And the fact that most of those raging picky fans are adults makes it even worse that they're not acting 'mature' as they claim when they're sending pointless death threats to both Activision and Toys for Bob all these months in a useless attempt to cancel this game.

@CrystalBlazier I see what you mean, I can get why there mad at somethings but I never imaged something like that. I guess they should move on, Spyro is never gonna be the way they want it, after Insomniac left.
Find something new, a new franchise that makes you happy people, and live long and prosper. ;)

Tell that to the now out of control older Spyro fanbase. Some of them are trolls flaming on fans who like the game and post repeated spam comments on how much they hate the game on every Skylander video, like chadwarden1 here for example. I'm just glad that Activision is ignoring the older, raging fanbase and are more focused on the young target audience who don't act like obsessed fantards...

@robertsfunny1995 I always saw games as interactive movies, because there was a time not to long ago when Movies were considered art, but not video games, and it really doesn't matter if it has a fan base and it gos through a change like this people well get mad.

@CrystalBlazier Well I'll have to disagree a little there, they "changed" Spyro's look witch is tetchily a "change" and its no longer a platfomer so that's a big change. I like the idea and all but as a original series not as a Spyro game, just really never thought they would take away what Spyro was known for.

Though Insomniac never owned the rights to the Spyro franchise, Universal did, and they were later renamed Vivendi Games that made the LoS, and are now merged with the company of Activision. So in total, fans who are raging uncontrollably over this game are also flaming on the original creators of the Spyro series who are now within Activision.
