@ooamaimomooo Well, you have to remember that most people watching Unfabulous have no idea who Jill Sobule is. If you've never heard the original it's a beautiful song - even if it is being sung by a 13 year old. But yes, JS' version is WAY better - genuinely heart wrenching.
