For my tastes, I find the lyrics it too simplistic. I like songs that tell a story. As for the music. I'm sure I feel any artist that relies completely on computer generated sound to have been lazy on the song they've done it on. But like I said, he has a good voice. @Eroticon4 The amount of time and energy that goes into "computer generated" music of this caliber far surpasses anything a "lazy" man can do. Do you have any experience in music production? If so I feel you would know this. And if you have done any research you would know that Modestep, along with alot of other popular bands/djs in this genre actually does use some real instruments whether sampling them or straight up having someone play them for the songs.

@lyingeyes07 Actually I've played with several decent CG Music programs that come with thousands of sampled instruments and sounds. You'd be surprised at what you can pump out with an hours worth of work using distorts, modulations, sustains, drags, cuts, and overlays. Still doesn't change that I feel repetitive canned tunes and a fourteen word lyrical total is simplistic. Sure it's fun to listen too when you want something mindless to sway or bounce too, but I like more substance.
