An alesis andromeda, the virus TI, a dj mixer, good speakers and a big monitor with cubase 5. Exactly the little powerful studio I am dreaming to have in some years. How much have you spent for all togheter?
I remember hearing this a while back and then one of my mates was listening to the Tiesto podcast from way back and I thought I'd check it out again!! Wicked tune mate, have you got a Soundcloud? Couldn't find you anywhere :)
@xflil i diddnt understand what you meant on first read.. but after re:reading i realise what you mean, you mean im showing my mastering chain? the oxford limiter on the master bus? thats not a secret or anything... anyways i had this track pro mastered :)... but... my normal stereo mastering chain is pultec > pultec > pultec > oxford limiter... :)
@Xtigma OHHH wait.. now i know what you mean :).. your saying my master bus is clipping... dont worry i bounced down each bus to 32bit stems first for the pre-master session before sending it off to master :)
wooow this is very interessting this is all that I want to see , a big music studio running in real time ! and ... !! using dynaudio acoustics! because I would like to buy it !
very nice, love the setup by the way, very similar to my own. i am jealous of that screen though. wammy what is that a 32'' LCD haha. I have no desire to add my 48'' Samsung to my setup haha.
haha yea thats what i figured after i typed it, how is cubase? is it solely meant for building from the ground up or sample too? does it compare to Ableton 8.0.4
Cubase is great.. but its more of a traditional program for creating music.. Ableton is more of a new way of producing where the tempo of your samples etc isnt as important... will be nice to see Ableton evolve over the coming years!
Nice set up mate!! Are those Dynaudio bm6a's? I've been thinking about getting a pair but can't make up my mind between the dynaudio's or the Mackie HR824 mk2's. How do you find the Dynaudio's to work with?

I used the virus Ti for that section
in fact i used the virus for most of that track apart from the bassline... the bassline is the Andromeda A6. glad you like it!
