  • An alesis andromeda, the virus TI, a dj mixer, good speakers and a big monitor with cubase 5. Exactly the little powerful studio I am dreaming to have in some years. How much have you spent for all togheter?

  • @Synthescheisser how much in total? not sure.. still paying it off! :(

  • @Xtigma I guess the gear was around 10000 in total...and you have chosen very good synths. I want an Andy so bad but i can't find it anywhere :(

Good luck to you and enjoy making music with your small big studio.

  • Fantastic vocals on the track ;)

    Nice studio- small,but powerfull :)

  • I remember hearing this a while back and then one of my mates was listening to the Tiesto podcast from way back and I thought I'd check it out again!! Wicked tune mate, have you got a Soundcloud? Couldn't find you anywhere :)

  • @Plewinski18 yep do have a soundcloud but i havent got much on it.. just some bootleg remix i did once

  • need to ask you something.. are you signed under any label or whatsoever?

  • @FingerstyleTV yep had a few releases out, typically nobody signs to just 1 label tracks are signed on a track by track basis

  • @Xtigma hey! bought your ff800 yet? btw, mind if we hook up in facebook?

  • @Xtigma hey! bought your ff800 yet? btw, mind if we hook up in facebook?

  • @FingerstyleTV yeah fire away just facebook /xtigma

no fireface yet :( saving up for a UAD2 quad first!.. im running out of power way too fast...

  • dude your stereo out is in clip (:

  • @xflil i diddnt understand what you meant on first read.. but after re:reading i realise what you mean, you mean im showing my mastering chain? the oxford limiter on the master bus? thats not a secret or anything... anyways i had this track pro mastered :)... but... my normal stereo mastering chain is pultec > pultec > pultec > oxford limiter... :)

  • @Xtigma OHHH wait.. now i know what you mean :).. your saying my master bus is clipping... dont worry i bounced down each bus to 32bit stems first for the pre-master session before sending it off to master :)

  • Hey, what stands are you using for the Dynaudios? I just got the bm6a mkiis and I'd like a desk stand but I can't find them

  • @gambonen

Monitor stands by Gale Arc 120

    gale.co.uk

  • what audio interface are you using?

  • just a crap one.. EMU 1820

  • you should have gotten yourself rme fireface 800 for a setup like that!

  • I know... RME fireface 800 is on my list!...

  • haha! mine too! the best!

  • Hey jst bought Xtigma - Redemption ! Nice one!!

which synth did you use for the arpeggiator part in the breakdown I LOVE IT!

  • thanks! :-)

I used the virus Ti for that section

in fact i used the virus for most of that track apart from the bassline... the bassline is the Andromeda A6. glad you like it!

  • UAD DSP noted :P

What do you use for AD/DA conversion ?

  • Actually i just leave the AD/DA conversion to the soundcard... no separate unit

  • very nice, love the setup by the way, very similar to my own. i am jealous of that screen though. wammy what is that a 32'' LCD haha. I have no desire to add my 48'' Samsung to my setup haha.

  • its only a 24" monitor :)

  • haha yea thats what i figured after i typed it, how is cubase? is it solely meant for building from the ground up or sample too? does it compare to Ableton 8.0.4

  • Cubase is great.. but its more of a traditional program for creating music.. Ableton is more of a new way of producing where the tempo of your samples etc isnt as important... will be nice to see Ableton evolve over the coming years!

  • i'm wondering what program that is?

  • cubase 5

  • Loving this tune playing it down at Classique in Coventry Dave Pierce night keep these sort of tracks coming loving the voice clip!

    Keep up the good work:D

  • nice! :) hope it goes down well :)

    thanks a lot

  • Amazing tune, heard it on Gareth Emery's Podcast. Also its really good to see the production involved!! Inspirational 10/10

  • any info about the release of this amazing choon? :D:D:D

  • Early june :)

  • Cheers for the reply mate. Keep up the good work!!! :)

  • Nice set up mate!! Are those Dynaudio bm6a's? I've been thinking about getting a pair but can't make up my mind between the dynaudio's or the Mackie HR824 mk2's. How do you find the Dynaudio's to work with?

  • Yep they are BM6a's they are a complete Joy to work with.. I noticed a huge jump in the quality of my productions the day I started using them
