@scottyboythepimp He uses the pringles can as wadding for the balloon. if he didn't use the can the waterballoon would pop as soon as it left the barrel because of the pressure from the cannon.

pringles can....it fits the 3 inch pipe perfectly and acts as a great sabo

We used a Pringles can, which is now an outdated method but still very effective.

This is a stupid question, but I want to double check. Is the sabot's open end facing out of the barrel?

And I'll be sure to build one. This'll be perfect for my senior year at band camp...for water balloon fights!

It can face either way, though balloons are much less likely to break with the sabot facing out. Another thing, you have to cut the rim off the top of the can in order to improve the seal.

The launcher in this movie is the G2 version. There's a newer G3 multiple-shot style one which I haven't had time to create a guide for building yet.
