Can Muslims Eat Meat From the Christians and the Jews?

@ksarose and there are more evidences even in teh video if you actually listen to it that they were kuffar and yet we are still allowed to eat from them. akhi as you said the shaikh has much more knowledge than you and this matter is no exception, he has much more knowledge than you in it also.

@ksarose And Allaah says in the quran in surah bayinnah verily those who disbelieved from the people of the book (jews and christians) and the polytheists are in the hellfire and that is the evil torment.

These are just a few of MANY examples that the christians and jews were KUFFAR and not on tawheed.

@ksarose Akhi, do you read the qur'an, all throughout the quran Allah is telling christians to stop worshipping jesus as the son of Allah and the jews to stop worshipping uzair so they WERE kuffar at the time of the prophet and that is why the prophet sallah Allaahu alayhi wassalam said if ANY christian or jew hear of me and rejects me then they will be in the hellfire.

ive been brought up not knowing this so it is strange to me but inshaaAllah i will get it . just want to confirm though that if i were to go shopping, i could buy meat that everyone else is buying with no knowledge of the way it died/slaughtered and eat it?

because most folk are using machines nowadays (its easier) its not something we can rule out. I supose i should stay away from it then because we should avoid what we doubt?

the non muslim supermarkets dont sell halal meat and we all know this. its already proven and said by the non muslims them self that they dont slaughter in the legal way. thats why we need to buy meat from muslim shops.

since when do we muslims ask the kuffar what is halal and what isnt for us? you think they have any idea? the muslims were allowed to eat from the christians during the time of teh prophet sallah Allaahu alayhi wassalam even though they worshipped jesus alayhi salaam. if it becomes apparent that they do electric shock or something then stay away but we dont do in depth investigation, listen carefully to the whole talk

we dont ask for it but we already know they dont slaughter in legal way. i already know there meat is haram becuz they them selfs showed it. u can not deny this. this fatwa speaks about the rulings of eating the meat of the people of the book and i agree but still the meat they sell in macdonalds and all non muslim supermarkets are haram. well at least here in holland they are no doubt.

It took me a while to overcome this, but I have eaten from christians and jews since this was made apparent to me... I still do it with a bit of wisdom (not as to create a stir) but alhamdulillah... I will not avoid that which allaah has made halal for me...

we are not to have douts or be vary ??? hmmmm...... i wouldnt walking in to a McDonalds and pick up a Big MAC - and say Bismillah - and now its halal - this manner of approaching hallal /haram food is a new concept.

mashaallah akhi you made a excellent point! i remember once when some tabligees were sitting behind me in a takeaway store & they made a remark "those who hold eating from the kuffar only use "ONE" proof to support "their" claim SUBHANALLAH when the proof comes we should submit to it whether it is a single or 100 proofs, rather when you do bring many proofs regarding issues of creed etc that they have strayed in, they will still hold fast to their madhab for dear life & reject the truth!
