Just a correction, the flower of the daisy is not really flower but a florescence. You can clearly see that each of the "petals" of the daisy is really a 3 petal flower. You can confirm that there are flowers with petals that are multiples of 2, 3 or 5, and if they have more "petals" its because these flowers are really a set of flowers. Check Merosity in wikipedia
