  • IT'S BALOO

  • @rickardroll Baloo, Thomas O'Malley from the Aristocats, and Little John from Robin Hood. Phil Harris did a LOT of Disney and was from Linton, in my home state of Indiana.

  • Dean Martin always portrayed a drunk, but wasn't one. Two cool guys back in the day.

  • oh Mr.Martin ...

    oh Mr Martin ...

would you put your fingers in my coffee too :)

so sweet ... so classy ....

  • Phil Harris was Boxing manager of my Great Grandfather Donnie Maes Falcon. Wish i had my grandpas old photo scrap book

  • I'm 14 and this is genuinly fantastic

  • Abraham Delacie

  • @killaak8371 Guisuppe Decacy

  • what does Dean Martin answer to Phil Harris at 0:51?

Phil Harris: On the level M. Martin?

    Dean Martin:???

  • @bluefandango on your tea tray mr. h

  • @getalongneck thanks.

  • @bluefandango On your tea tray Mr. H

  • @JacX1 Thanks

  • 2 great voices and characters.

great to see this preserved for posterity.

  • Phil Harris was a old pro like Dino and could about anything when it came to entertaining. He had his own band, could act and do standup .Phil could of fit right in with the rat pack and could keep up with Frank and Sammy any night of the weekHe was married to Alice Faye who was a star in the 40's and did movies and radio like Phil did...Loved Dino and Phil..R.I.P

  • i just see all the disney charracters phil plays!!!! :))

    what a legend!! XD

  • Quality. Quality. Quality. Even ad-libing the timing is impecable.

  • Ol Phil from the Jack Benny show

  • A great re-do of the classic number by "Gallagher and Shean". Beautiful!

  • I love the phrases in this. you dawg, you know I'm driving!

  • The movie "The Music Man" was written for Phil Harris to play the lead,

but Harris was in his 50s by then and semi-retired so the part went to

Robert Preston. I always thought, though, that if Phil Harris would have

done the film with his goofy personality, comedy and distinctive voice,

The Music Man would have been, instead of a good film, one of the

    best comic musicals ever made.

Imagine Harris as "Professor Harold Hill" schmoozing it up with his

"Baloo Bear" voice & zany jokes!

  • For all you rack packers out there!

  • BALOO!!!OMG!!!

  • "Put that pinky in mine too"

    hahaha xD Oooh Phil :')

  • 2 people are not tea drinkers.

  • its baloo!! :)

  • oh Mister O'Malley!

  • Brendon brought me here... wow.

  • This comedy is better than we have these days, honestly.

  • rip both

  • I came

  • "put that pinky in mine......... ooooohh u doll!" lmao

  • Who in gods name dislikes this?

  • Could be the funniest act I have seen with Dean. The two together = Perfect humor, timing, and talent.

  • Good be the funniest act I have seen with Dean. The two together = Perfect humor, timing, and talent.

  • This jogged my memory. I recall in the 1950s when a next door neighbor lady would come over for afternoon "tea" and Mother would serve from her famous (or infamous) china teapot. I believe the beverage of choice in said teapot was Manhattans. This was a ruse on the ladies' part for the neighbor lady's husband, a teetotaling, sanctimonious, pontificating old foot doctor! She could always say she was just having "tea" next door. :-)

  • lol!! great!! nobody pals around like that anymore;-)

  • a pure delight!

  • @lotsandlotsofbubbles.... It is so nice to see a person like yourself who is young yet has the culture to appreciate entertainers of this caliber. Ifr you want to watch two Disney movies that Phil Harris is the voice of two characters watch the Jungle Book and The Aristrocats. If you want a good laugh watch Dean Martin in the Cannonball Run.

  • @drivingdude2007 thank you :) I grew up watching the Jungle Book, I adore it. It's a shame that no entertainers today come even close to this.

  • I'm 17 and wathcing this makes me wish I grew up back then, it seemed so pure and rich of life...

  • @WristWizzard727 Yeah, when I hear 60s and 70s songs (like The Beatles for example) all those songs from that time are happy. Songs would be about making it through high school and finding love or like a bunch of guys hanging out and having a good time basically songs that are catchy, relatable and happy. Now we get all this Kanye crap about meeting "hoes" at the bar and having one-night-stands and all that crap, and they're not even catchy. They all sound the same, I hate the music in our time.

  • @WristWizzard727 i feel you.

  • @WristWizzard727 yeah....AND ignorance and bigotry. I hate when 12-17 year olds say this on every youtube video about some pop culture 20, 30, 40, 50+ years ago, that they wish they were born 30 years ago and they hate 2011. But I bet you're completely okay with using a computer, playing on your iPhone, listening to music on your iPod right?

  • @TheItalianStallion33 Acutally yeah, I am fine with all that stuff. But im talking about the class, the respect, the way everyone seemed to carry themselves, during this time. They were funny without swearing or making vulgar comments, their comedy was pure and true. And you made the mistake of thinking I'm just another ignorant teenager, when really, I was giving my honest opion. Have a blessed day.

  • @WristWizzard727 Man I'm only 5 years older than you lol. Class? Respect? Carried themselves? That is what you see in HOLLYWOOD, its not real life. Everyone in the 50/60s didnt sit around all day having martinis while dancing to musical numbers. You were judged IMMENSELY on your education, your skin colour, what part of town you were from, what you believed in, how much money you had, your job, not that it doesnt happen now, but sooo much more 50 years ago.

  • @WristWizzard727 They didnt swear because to curse on television was seen as so offensive, even showing inter-racial marriages were controversial then. It was so "unchristian" like, seen as destroying order in society for soem reason...as time went on things like that became less and less offensive, doesnt make it pure, it was restricted and limited for an audience who was also resricted to not take part in those things

  • Nice Gallagher & Sheen take off.

  • when was the last time you saw someone smoking a cigarette on television?

  • is this making fun of beer

  • @copnite12342 well, dean was a big drinker (like a lot of people back then) and they are kinda playing on that fact. I doubt beer was his favorite

  • one person hates classics

  • dean and phil two of a kind

  • Phili Harris is the voice of Baloo the Bear in the Jungle Book cartoon movie. ^__^

  • Love Classic !!!!!! golden age

  • This is so funny, I laugh every time I watch it!

  • LMFAO THIS WAS THE GOLDEN AGE OF AMERICA ITS ALL GONE NOW

  • @willieraye You are a fucking queer.

  • We should have more music and Les Brown....classic.

  • who the fuck is this brendon person?

martin and phil are classic, people should just 'know' they're greatness, WHY THEY SHOULD BE A COMMON HOUSEHOLD NAME!!!

so whoever he is, at least he's promoting something good

  • @rubiksmycube Brendon Urie. The lead singer of Panic! At The Disco "still can't get this song out of my head. they just don't have entertainment like this anymore... (then he gave the link)" That is exactly what he said. So yeah thats why people are saying Brendon. Just to let you know...

  • @AdamLambertrocks11 OH! Nice to know that good taste in music transcends outside of popular music

  • @OldTelivisionRocks Yeah it is! He has really good taste in music or so i think :D

  • I watched some best of Dean over the weekend with my grandparents. Most of it was lukewarm, some of it I hated. This, however is genius.

  • do you have shows like this in US now a days??? :D

  • god bless you dean and phil.

  • We had found the Holy Grail when we had Dean! I miss him every time I think of music.

  • You just dont see videos like this anymore

  • There are simply no entertainers left in the world with the talent to be able to carry off something like this. Thanks for posting.

  • Ceci était parfait comme d'habitude

  • I love these guys. This is a takeoff of an old vaudeville routine by Gallagher and Shean "Positively, Mr. Gallagher? Absolutely, Mr. Shean!" Al Shean was the uncle of the Marx Brothers, who also wrote their first vaudeville show.

  • YAY!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Two true American Masterrs!!
