There were some muslim albanians that lived amongst us Greeks. But because the muslim albanians were traitors to their fellow neighbours during WW2, they left for modern albania.
I think it is safe to say that this small muslim albanian community got what it deserved when they chose to collaborate with Hitler & Mussolini.
@kevelen1 The singer's name is George Dalaras and the title is Ola Kala....I go to Greece for 35 years and have all his records and also saw him live playing at te theatre in Athens...BEATIFUL!
Hey, Albanians...nobody cares. We all know what the Albanians did in Kosovo and we are not exactly thrilled to think of going some place even remotely connected with Albanians, so let's leave Parga alone, ok? Let people enjoy going somewhere GREEK which is what they are looking for...and which is what it IS.
yes parga is ours...is Albanian land and greeks stolen my grandmother and my grandfather home and kill a lot of people...my grand parents die but in their hearts is always one thing!!!TO TAKE BACK OUR LANDand to see only one more time that sweet home...

Do not forget that Parga is ours. Albanian Land.We will have it back and hopefully i will have back the land of my grand mother and the house in which greeks have stolen to my mother.
I was on vacation to parga in the summer of 2004 , and i loved it. love parga forever. it's fullof tourists, great ocen beaches, entertaining night life and everything. I'm Albanian But I love the beaches in Greece.
Greeting from Albania! And I never heard that parga was albanian - i always thought it was greek. Well I don't know for sure, but maybe it was albanian along time ago.
Actually just above the Albanian border used to be Greek - whole villages were swallowed up when the Abnaina border came down - so infact the villages above the border are Greek - Greek is the language spoken there NOT Albanian! Voria Ipirotis

Parga is close to Preveza where my grandfather was from and he was Cham (Albanian) He used to tell me that this was a Albanian land and his grandfather told him that too. It will go back where it belongs and all the population that came from Turkia to replace it will go back to Asia because that is the land of Albanians

Yes, south albania is similiar to the greek traditions because the majority of albanians in south albani are greek orthodox (like me), but still south albania isn't greek! you can't say that - sorry.
Parga is just awesome!! I've been there this July and i fell in love with this beautiful town!! Want to return there next year! For the nightlife there's nothing special there... but we had fun anyway....
Beautiful place. However, the streets of Parga were filled with Albanian blood in 1944.Greece took the coastal regions of Parga, Preveza, Arta and Gumenica from Albania by ethnically cleansing the region through genocide. The streets of Parga still have Albanian blood that hasn't dried up.
sorry, look at the names of the towns you quote...ALL 100% GREEK. Those areas were never albanian and never will be. We have enough albanian trouble makers in greece now. That's enough!

Went there in 1993 long before anyone had even heard of it - i absolutely loved it!
Always hope to return again 1 day but i imagine now more people have heard of it, possibly it's will have lost a bit of its magic!
1 thing i noticed on the video is the Taverna seating areas have been moved away from the harbour wall - pity

Of course they are Greek according to Greek ethnocentric cosmologies. Pontians and Vlachs get out of Chameria!!!
