@vcough i thought u were fuckin with me, i wanted to fight u until i googled it. fuck yeah!!!!! they broke up when i was 13, i never got to see em live. i bet they record a new album too. finally
Yeah I saw it on Ultimate-Guitar a couple weeks ago. Apparently Kim Thayil has all the B-sides and everything and it was supposed to be released shortly after A-sides. It's been 10 years, but at least they haven't quite forgotten about it.
Was fresh deadly rarities an actual cd? Because I have all the b sides already and have seen pictures of cd covers called fresh deadly rarities. And this song hauls so much ass
@Mardizzle922 apparently it wa just some cd not officially released by soundgarden or something, but its got like 15 or 17 rarities and cover and stuff...all studio recorder i believe...i dont think you can actually buy a cd version of it but you can probably download all of the songs of somewhere...but all of those songs are on youbtube anyway
SGBsides, THANK YOU! I have all the studioalbums in my shelf, love them, but these... Fresh Deadly Roses, Heretic, Blind Dogs (posted by someone else), these simply are even better than anything on the albums. Simply astounding.
I think it's a fitting bridge between the unstructured genius and transcendental uniqueness that Louder Than Love projects and the perfected, matured and structured diversity of sound found on Superunknown.
Hey man - Thanks for posting these. I read about the second half of the song 'half' from the superunknown album that was eventually left off of the album and have been looking everywhere to find it - with no luck. Have you heard anything of it? It's meant to be fuckin great.

@bjsulka "Loudest Love." Made in '90. Came with a dub version of Big Dumb Sex.

Almost a foreshadowing of the psychedelia from Superunknown.
To think of it, this song would fit toward the end of the album, though it's Louder Than Love-era.

The person who gave this a thumbs down probably only likes Black Hole Sun.

I can't hear the lyrics very well, but doesn't this song sound like it's about getting an STD?

I love the line that goes: "and you cut their pride on your concertina / that surrounds your dying leaves in your / fresh deadly roses"
Cornell is a master lyricist.

Heavenly song, has ever been anything on Earth better than Cornell??
questaeunacover 3 years ago
This song would fit perfectly on SUPERUNKNOWN. Alas, it was too far ahead of its time. It is still a masterpiece. 5 stars.
