The FIRST what? Surely you know of Sigma Pi Phi (1904) & Gamma Phi (1905). The former was more of a Grad org. founded for Professional Blacks of that era. The latter was the actual 1st "collegiate" Black frat (founded at Wilberforce Univ.), but is now defunct (only existed for 30yrs). The Alphas were a year later (1906) at Cornell Univ. & still exists over a century later. Thus A-Phi-A is the oldest Black frat "to date", but NOT the first. Besides, there's no pecking order (all BGLO's shine)!!!

Our colors are purple and gold and we would never walk around with purple and gold canes. And I have never seen a Kappa with red boots. No biggy.
