  • that was sooo sweet, carl switzer was actually murdered, rumor has it he was very difficult to get along with as he got older.

  • It made me nostalgic for a time I have never known- when American hearts were still innocent enough that people would buy tickets to be entertained by such sweetness, and not the ugliness so profitable in Hollywood today.

  • This is so heartfelt and beautiful. Thank you for making it. I featured it on my page today!!

  • @SomethingReal1119 This was really nice to read! Thank you!

  • @yocuzz100, but it was a closed pen knife found behind him, it was said that he never carried an open weapon!

  • Genius comedic timing & facial expressions. Amazing group of talented children. The humor is timeless. Thank-you for sharing.Thank-you Little Rascals for endless laughter and sweet memories of a much simpler life.

  • awwww so touching,, an so cool,, i adore the our gang kids they were amazin,,, an it would have been so wonderful to have Carl Switzer aka-Alfalfa still here with us, he still would have been younger then my grandma whos still here,,, an i remember when we would watch the reruns in the early 80s grandma would say "allllll those kids are grandmas age",,, an we would think that was so cool because they were so entertaining then,,, great vid thanks for postin*)

  • how can you not love the little rascals , i grew up watching them in the morning just be for school . its one of the reasons i gto out of bed for school back in the 70`s lol

  • Its too bad he died so young. I know that he wanted so much to break away from the whole ALfalfa stereotype, but Im sure if he had lived he'd appreciate the love us fans have for him.

  • One of a kind. There will never be another Alfalfa

  • GREAT Video.. Thanks for the Memories ..

  • I've been told Alfie is a Vince McMahon look-a-like in the 'I'm in the mood for love' part of the video. Everybody has their own opinion, but to me Alfie was one of a kind...I don't see the look-a-like in him what so ever!!:P

  • The most adorable boy...ever!

  • no!! yes, noo! yes lol

  • boy o boy these kids are funny, no1 can live up to these champs

  • This is the cutest, adorable tribute video of Alfie I have come across! Remembering how funny and adorable he was is nice to see! I just got the entire collection of him and I love all the episodes, especially 'The Four Nightin Gales'!!:D

  • I am in my bedroom with my wife and i stumbled upon this video and it brings me way back to my great childhood and it had me in tears, THANK YOU!

  • @Taino871 Alright, your comment had ME in tears, so we're even. Feedback like yours is so rewarding...and so rare. Thank you.

  • I lived in is old house just after he sold it!

  • " I'm a pretty good looking fella, ain't I?" lol

  • I have watched this video several times, why?, Because I have searched and never ever found a more talented actor than the late Carl Switzer, best known for his portrayal of Alfalfa. It grieves me that Carl died at the young age of 31, and lost out on having a very long and successful career. However, Carl Alfalfa Switzer left us with tons of excellent and wonderful appearances from the Little Rascals, and all of his many other performances in movies, from birth to his January 1959 death.

  • @AlwaysaFanofALFALFA Thanks for writing in so enthusiastically, AFoA!

  • @AlwaysaFanofALFALFA I read alfalfa was a terrorist on the set.Butch played the bully but alfalfa was the real horror to everyone. He played terrible tricks on everyone like putting nails on seats, etc.

  • @fadethetrade that's why he's the man

  • @fadethetrade You are correct. In Alfalfa's later years movie company's wanted nothing to do with him because they already knew he was a terror to work with as a kid on the set. Eventually and sadly in his later years he was shot dead by his own business partner over a money dispute. All charges were dropped on the business partner.... he shot Alfalfa in self-defense when he approached him with a knife.

  • @AlwaysaFanofALFALFA Thanks for sharing, I didn't know any of that...

  • Thanks for the lovely video starring Alfalfa. Our Gang and the Little Rascals' black-and-whites were the ultimate childhood entertainment of the 1950's. Seeing this clip encouraged a great pleasure and calm to my soul. Precious childhood memories.

  • LOL he's so adorable and charming, especially towards the ending of the video when he was singing I'm in the mood for love..lol what a hopeless romantic this character was, and he didn't care what spanky or the other guys thought. lol How adorable.

  • Great video, LOVE his character, He had a tragic ending to his life way too soon though. Seems like the great ones always do. Either they have a tragic ending, or they just leave us too soon. Thankfully one of my fav greats are still alive, and thats Jerry Lewis, But once he goes, that will be the end of this whole era.. and I will Mourn it even though I wasn't born until 1980

  • Great video with my all-time favorite child, teen, and adult actor, even though he only lived to be age 31!!! Thanks!! Long live ALFALFA!!

  • great video about alfalfa

  • he was so cute :[

  • "Say, who's this funny looking monkey.", "That happens to be me!" LOL

  • "He's got it!", "Got what?," , "My personality"! LOL. Classic

  • He was a funny little guy back then! I am sorry he had to die for $50.00! awful! So young!

  • 3:00 Alfalfa's real-life brother, Harold Switzer, on left.

  • Very, very well done!

  • Indeed a Fantastic, Funny video----hope to see more soon!!
